    Markev Maership Election 1690

From the Office of the Lord Chancellor and Palatine of the Realm

    -

    Va Birodeo Herzenav e Edlervik,

A notice to all denizens of the Kingdom of Haense, I have sat with the Lady Seneschal to discuss the future of our great capital and after a thorough conversation which lasted throughout the night, it has been decided that it is in the Crowns best interest to hold the title of Maer to a higher standard and institute a quadrennial election season (an election held every four years), in which citizens of Markev may nominate themselves or accept nominations from others, in the hopes of being elected Maer. The current Maer during the election phase still holds the title and responsibilities and may nominate themselves for re-election as there is no limit to how long one may hold Maer for, as long as they are justly elected once more into office by the people of Markev.

It is now with great honour and pride that I am announcing the Markev election of the year one thousand six hundred ninety. For those who are unaware, the current Maer is a dutiful man by the name of Ser Dominic of the house Grimm and has served us tremendously for the past four years and has yet to make it known whether or not he intends to run for re-election, with that in mind I publically thank Dominic for the years of service and wish him good fortune in the future, whether he chooses to run for re-election or not.

For those unaware, the duties of the Maer are as followed but not limited to providing assistance to the administration service, hosting public events and gatherings, ensuring all new arrivals to the city are felt at home and welcomed, and upholding the strong work ethic within the smithy, clinic and tavern. If you believe yourself, your neighbour, or your workmate, would work effectively and with the people’s best interest in mind, then please come forth as nominations are officially open.

    A Call for Sensibility

From the Office of the Lord Chancellor and Palatine of the Realm

    -

    Va Birodeo Herzenav e Edlervik,

As children we have all made irrational decisions, none of which I will say were born from a want to be malicious, but are born from a desire of immediate satisfaction and that is simply how the minds of children work. Growing up, I was raised in a very strict environment under the ward of my grandfather Rhys var Ruthern, and even with the strong-handed guidance that he gave me, I still acted with some level of selfish desire to have fun during the years. As a child, I even overlooked things that, at first glance would seem weird but after a while melded into a strange melancholy feel that was assumed to be how the world worked.

You would be hard pressed to find an individual that either, were unaware of Arberrang’s different way of life, or did not consider them to be not part of the Canonist ways. Many of my closest friends knew of their strange behaviors, it simply became assumed as something to expect within the grandiose scope of the Empire, which encompasses every man, woman, and child. Of course, there would be another culture, why wouldn’t there be? Is the thought process that many of us had, and it only solidified once Nordengrad joined the fray, as they are quite openly paganistic and were let under the banner of Man with ease.

Years later, here we stand at the metaphorical precipice of everything that has led us down the dirt-covered path where we had once begun. The catalyst has occurred, the so-called dye has been cast but not all hope has been lost upon the people of Arberrang. We call to the denizens who wish for no violence to answer the call for sensibility, and to not be led into destruction by those who have themselves stared extinction in the eye countless times through these very same actions being done in this day and age.

We acknowledge that leadership tends to lean towards tyranny when not held upright by the righteousness of GOD, thus we extend an offer. Denounce the leadership of Arberrang, those who brought the war to your doorstep, and pledge yourself to the Kingdom of Haense. You will not be harmed, your children will be kept safe, and your culture may have a chance to live on.

Think about this, the call for sensibility is one that all men should acknowledge.

To be fair, both sides were pretty terrible with the BM’ing. The banter was either sub-par or ventured into harsh personal attacks on family, not on boys, not on.

wish you actually roleplayed on the server

What makes role-playing on the server give them a more upper-hand in doing their work? Either they are competent at management and leadership in their important positions, or they are not competent, if they were to role-play (taking time away from focusing on bettering the server for the community) you would only be able to say that they are more knowledgeable of the state of role-play in the area they are involved in. Then we would fall into an awkward predicament of people claiming the Admin is biased due to where they choose to role-play (history has shown us this when it comes to unbiased Admins role-playing in areas), or we get people demanding they role-play in as many places as possible which only stretch them thin. I would make the argument that, if the Administration had a PR Admin, then that one would be the one you would want to see role-playing all over the place but not the Administration as a whole.
