Sir Mohammad Hassan slowly rolls his prayer-mattress in complete silence, and begins to saunter out of the Musjid.

He turned to face his comrade that waited outside, and then muttered a few words. “I fight for Allah, even if it’s for the losing side. I respect the honour of all, as that was decreed by the Prophet. That includes dwarves.”

The orenian prayed his Sunnat, hoping for both sides to avoid unnecessary conflict, and to make good friends from both sides.

"St. Beboon protect us," remarked Cato Perea, signing the Lorraine with his hand, a'fore he joined Sir Mohammad Hassan on the field.

After all, they were followers of the Emperor.

His tuba sat in his room, rusty, unused, unpolished.

The time of music and tuba playing was over.

Now, it was time for war.

  2. Cato Perea submits a public notice of his own decrying the message.

"Oren belongs to humans. The Mother Church, in its blessed glory, is a wing of Humanity. You shall not decry the High Pontiff as long as I live.

    Perish thee, infidel.

Come into the streets of Providence and see how well your racist litanies fair there.

    BLESSED BE EVERARD IV!"

"That didn't take long! Perhaps they should call him Phillip the Weak, but at least he can see sense." An Akritian man mused privately.

"Philip the Humble," said Cato to himself with no idea of the Akritian's own words, though likewise he mused upon his own thoughts in private. "For in the words of Blessed Jon Renault, we bow to no man but GOD."

  4. Sir Cato Perea flagellated himself within his private confines, his whip snapping.

You could not defend the Pontiff, he reminded himself.

    You called him a Sinner.

Blood and spittle caked the floor, his eyes beady and rimmed by shadows.

He would not fail Canondom again.

The Dowager-Duchess of Adria sat within the confines of Woldzmir, enjoying the warmth of the nearby hearth whilst her daughter Josephine attended to some needlework. The proclamation was delivered by a page, though the princess only read it briefly before tossing it aside with scoff. "How glorious...they cannot even mourn the death of my husband, his father. Their eagerness in light of murder will be their undoing, Josephine, mark me this day. How quickly these men and women forget particular details regarding the past."

    -

Elsewhere, in the castle courtyard, Princess Julia Amadea sat upon the pavement, a jarred mushroomman resting in her lap. She observed it keenly, hoping someday it might bow to her as it's master. For now, though, she was content to keep her dear Berry company, pleased her mother had allowed her to accept her aunt's unique gift.

Cato remarked some place, "And the others who disturb the Peace shall die as well."

Now this is a question that brings back memories.

I was one of the first official Lore Masters for the server in late 1.0 and early 2.0 maps in addition to (iirc) TehLulu, SerenityOnyx, & PtahWithin. One of the challenges we faced at the time was the fact that our 1.0 map file slowly became corrupt (I probably explained it poorly, but for technical reasons, we needed to make a new map). This opened the can of worms that is the server lore's canon regarding multiple continents & worlds. We wanted to have some pre-built structures and ruins on the next map and basically needed to author an explanation as to 'how they got there'.

I chose a relative low-fantasy explanation involving the Wandering Wizard ushering certain tribes who hadn't fared well in the initial war against Iblees through a portal (the same portal that the Wandering Wizard would open for people moving to the 2.0 map in real time) and gave them passage to Asulon in 'ancient' times. This centered around two groups primarily that eventually came to clash - a dwarven tribe and a Farfolk tribe with the dwarven tribe having developed a type of runesmithing that was unique and separate from the runesmithing of the 1.0 dwarves and the Farfolk tribe developing a form of short-distance teleportation magic.

I wrote an entire novella essentially describing the dwarven tribe attacking the coastal city of the Farfolk tribe in a kind of D-Day attack with golems coming ashore. I had fun writing it, definitely one of my lesser quality pieces given the age of the writing, but this lore had been retconned. Though, I heard on the grapevine that this may see the light of day on the server <img src=">

Specifically what made me screenshot it was Joel's remark about the 'virtue signalling' about the situation, to me, it just seemed callous. Time and time again, I have seen some of the most heinous shit happen on this server, at one point it drove me to quit the server and **** off for months as I tried to deal with just how horrible some of the situations that unfold on this server. I just tire of it, I'm sick of the three years I've been on this server as I feel like my mental state degrades as admins just in general seem to be unable to handle situations that unfold on here. It ultimately just comes down to the fact that the community often doesn't have much way in the form of recourse when they get frustrated (with good reason) when situations like this happen, at most you can quit and join a 2-bit server (or just leave MC RP entirely), but LotC has that appeal due to it being a bigger server and long-standing, hence why I think most people often fight, and as said prior, LotC has great potential to become one of the greatest servers, but when constantly the safety of the community isn't maintained, be it due to predators roaming around or people so obsessed with LotC they'll commit federal crimes via doxxing or dossing, there is little reason for one to believe LotC can reach that full potential.

But to refocus as I said, not much is there to offer in the form of recourse when situations like this unfold, most of the time it just ends up to people complaining about how/why people aren't banned and trying to get the evidence, but from what I've seen in a recent situation (and not so recent), if you give people a slap, they will be far more cautious proceeding forward, and limit the chances for the 'hard evidence' to be recorded.  My anger in this situation isn't purely directed Joel, as honestly, Joel isn't the only admin who has made mistakes (which is only human, no one is perfect) and for better or worse, current admins and future admins will inherent their predecessors actions and works, flaws and all.

I feel often times from my talks with some of the admins I've had, that they don't really care for LotC, that it is honestly nothing more than 'CV fodder', as being able to say you manage a community that has 300~ daily unique visitors is no small feat, and as a result, I feel more care is given to the 'image of LotC' than the state of the server itself, and ultimately why I just feel in a paradoxical manner, radical, disruptive response is the only way to help LotC, we only need to crawl through the forums and find these instances are not unique, and happen time and time again, which begs the question, if we can not trust admins to handle these cases properly, who are we to trust.

Now that ramble is out of the way, another reason why I did what I did was the treatment of one of my friends by Joel, I can't remember the full details, so I won't go try to delve into them, but it was utterly disgusting to hear and just annoys me, I feel referencing a shitty situation a player went through just because they pissed you off is just gross, months on end I watched this situation unfold, as I ******* begged and pleaded for a scumbag to be removed from the server for his deranged treatment of another individual. How is this meant to build confidence in any player if situations like these if they're ******* weaponized against the players. How am I meant to believe any promises of change is meant to happen when an admin told us they banned that individual, when in fact, they are self-banned.

So the purpose of me sending that screenshot was not in an attempt to slander those in the Discord, most of you are still cool, and I understand being kicked if that is what actually happened. I will say, people in that Discord were doing their best to get rid of KP from the server. But for your question of if it was worth it, hopefully, I just want people to be safe in this community, I don't want people to go through terrible suffering over a minecraft server, and ultimately, I honestly believe the only way that can happen is with a clean slate and proper procedures established ASAP. Though really one can only hope.

But isn't in Suspicious that The discord server that Held the information. Suddenly Up and went. And strange that you say the quotes are "Out of context" and that "Justice was finally delivered" Justice should have been delivered YEARS ago.

Why wasn't justice delivered a year ago? In the end i'm here to watch the burning fire that is this server every two months, I stop playing on Lotc a while ago. Situations like this are precisely why. Why support a server that protects people who really shouldn't be protected?

This is my private friend chat where we played games and ****. It's where me, Pundi, and the other writers who made the thread that launched yesterday spoke and then coordinated the thread to bring attention to the problem over the course of the last four days. Treshure was in there too, lmfao.

    Keep reaching though.

My sources say a discord was just deleted. Crazy.

Yeah, think it's messed up somebody would leak information pertaining to a private safety report written by a few members in that chat would be leaked so that you guys could have a couple of laughs at Grimreaper's expense. That's not fair to the victim for whom my friends wrote the report, and not kind to Reaper whose quote is being used out of context to badger him right as justice was finally delivered by the Administration.

    Wanna talk about this then?

You're posting those out of context. Kowaman did not see it, at best Joel did, and Joel never saw the full contents of the discussion and the evidence.

If specifically the state I was born in the United States - I love the Blue Ridge Mountains both for the atmosphere and the ineffable tune by the Fleet Foxes. In terms of the United States in its entirety, I personally hold the Red River Gorge in Eastern Kentucky to be dear to me and I also loved Muir Woods & Carmel-by-the-Sea near San Francisco.

Dude, Muir Woods are ******* insane - the redwood trees for instance. I grew up in NorCal and it's one of my fondest memories going there with my family.

The Elven Vice-Chancellor of Oren would stand by the Archchancellors side, stating plainly for those asking of the matter.

"It doesn't surprise me that Urguan would come into Orenian lands and threaten to clip off the ears of one of its own vassal's children, the very Archon of Stygian Hollow, not withstanding that elf ear clipping is barbaric and illegal here.

If you think this account is not possible for the Grand King's Dwarven clans to assault his own subjects, you need not ask an Orenian - ask some of the Grand Kings subjects themselves. The people of Sunbreak have been assaulted by Clan Ireheart, and the peaceful people of Veritas were uprooted without prejudice. Now, the Archon of Stygian Hollows daughter-in-law and mother of his grandchild was threatened to have her ears clipped.

I'm not sure whats worse, that the Grand King treats his own subjects in such a matter - or that the Empire of Oren must be the one to advocate for their reasonable treatment.

The former Warden of the Pale, Kairn Calithil penned a letter to Minuvas. Though the  two were contemporaries with storied histories, it would likely be the first time they had some form of direct communication.

    To the Vice-Chancellor, Minuvas.

Had these individuals you mentioned not laid their fortunes upon the crest of the King Norli's brow to begin with, they would not be facing the situations they are engaged in. It is a good thing to desire peace; but you must recognize the weight of your words and what they may represent for your constituents going forward. I consider myself rather impartial in the matter of vassals & the rise of Dwarven Nationalism within the hallowed Halls of Dungrim. Yet, you must remind yourself, there are other issues to the forefront of Imperial politics than the plight of ravenous Dark Elves and foreign adversaries who would sell out your state for an inkling of power.

I write this to you as a friend and you may do with this knowledge as you please. Be mindful, the Stygians and men & women of Veritas are no friends of the Empire of Man. Care for the Imperial; the waylaid Orenian virtuoso, and let the infidels within their stone fortresses burn themselves, and suffer the consequences of their poor decision-making.

    Signed, K.C.
