    Urgh. My computer has decent specs (16gb ram, 4gb dedicated nvida graphics card and quad core processor) and yet I run minecraft with horrible frame rates, never getting above 30 these days. Any help?

      I installed both 64bit and 32bit. I haven't checked if my processor is capable of running it. It it's a quad core intel i7 3630 QM so I had assumed it was capable. As for the graphics card, it's a NVIDIA GT650M I believe (not currently at my computer) with all the latest drivers

      Alright, I fiddled with a few things (changed the core javaw ran on and did some tweaking in nvidia control panel) but I still need help, if anyone is willing. I have set all the minecraft settings to maximize performance (tiny view setting, minimal particles etc) and I have found that when I am outside a settlement I can get over 100 fps.
