*Bowlt approaches you as you are walking on the side of the road* *He gives you a flyer and asks if you are interested in making a little bit of money* Talon Mercenary Talon Mercenary Formation The Talon Mercenary are a guild that has been created very recently, but now has expanded into three guild houses. Talon Mercenary started when the leader Bowlt met the current Quartermaster Poke while in Malinor. Bowlt's original job was to escort people from place to place for money. When Poke asked if he could join this trade with a few others the basis of the Talon Mercenaries was formed. One day when traveling among Salvus Bowlt ran into a man that goes unmentioned. The man asked Bowlt and a few of Bowlt's colleagues that he had met over the trade to do a few tasks involving transporting goods. Once those tasks were finished Bowlt decided to connect that group of people and form the first generation of the Talon Mercenaries. General Information The entire point of the Talon Mercenaries is to create a formation of people who have a drive for money and reward and are willing to do anything to get that. The Talon Mercenaries do mainly anything for money, whether it scamming, assassinating, torturing is up to the player who joins. Bowlt's beliefs are if you cannot be paid for a job, there is no true benefit for that crime. The Talon Mercenary runs off of a policy where if you find you own job you can keep 75% of your money. If an officer or Bowlt assigns you a job you keep 50% of the pay (Usually those tasks are very high paying tasks). The remainder of the profit that the player does not keep goes to profits such as armor for the guild, swords and guild house related furnishings. In Character Guild Rules 1. Do not betray the guild and release out information about any contracts -- This is a death penalty in most cases 2. Considering that there are multiple guild houses in different cities, please follow the rules of the cities and do not get us in trouble by local guard. 3. If you are arrested, do not give out information. The easiest way is to make something up. 4a. Do not cause unnecessary fights or murder. The Talon Mercenary kill for money, revenge will not be tolerated and if it is not for money then it is a pointless fight. 4b. Do not mug people on the street corner for money. The Talon Mercenary have enough morale to avoid the names of thugs and bandits. 5. Do not join other guilds or tribes. This is a major crime to Talon and means automatic eviction. Showing loyalty to the clan is a priority even though everyone is after the same goal which is money. Out of Character Rules 1. Do not say anything about our plans out of character unless asked to. Although Meta-gaming is illegal it still happens often 2. A Villain Application for 2a is most likely required, 2c and 1a is highly recommended. You can still apply if you do not have a VA and be accepted, but keep in mind that if you want to have fun and make money you will need these. 3. Please follow the server rules 4. Our guild uses skype chat to communicate, if asked skype and the applicant has skype please allow us to add you on skype for easier communication. Ranks of the Talon Mercenary: Talon Mercenary: Talon Mercenary is the default rank when first joining the Talon Mercenaries. The player is asked to find job's by asking around to improve the reputation of the guild by doing independent tasks. (More often then not this is unsuccessful as it is hard to do if the player is not experienced) The player also gets assigned tasks by the officers and tag along on missions with the officers. The player has to do 5 jobs by himself and gain the trust of the Bowlt to reach the next rank. The player is also required to do small amounts of training with assassination, sneak, bow, and basic sword. Bowlt also has to believe that you have mastered training to the players best ability. Talon Combat (Medic, Sharpshooter, Guard, Blacksmith, Wizard) : This job is an expansion to the Talon Mercenary, if they have a needed special talent, they get put in this category and perform this task as well as their mercenary task. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tier II: After the first two ranks are completed the player has a choice between Assassin and Mercenary. Villain Application of 2a is required to move on to this tier. These ranks are considered Officer ranks Talon Prime Assassin (2a) : The prime assassin aspect to the Talon Mercenary means they will only do contract job's that involve killing one person in a place. This means that typically they have to use their connections to find jobs or find jobs from the Arch-Assassin. This is easy as their is only one type of job you do. Another perk to this job is that you can take contracts from other Talon Mercenary. Talon Prime Mercenary (2a and 1c) : The prime mercenary aspect to the Talon Mercenary means they will only do mercenary jobs and mainly work for other armies, do raids for armies, armed robbery and etc. The prime Mercenary also have to master the art of torture and have to learn how to recruit people into the guild. These are also referred to as Talon Merc Officers. Talon Master of Torture (2a and 2c) : In some cases Assassin's have to keep their victims alive, the job of the Master of Torture is to do so while causing great pains to them. In some cases the victim needs information ridden out of them, this means the Master of Torture can torture the victim and do something creative with his death. Usually the Master of Torture has to teach some lesson to each one of his deaths for example: A man tells the mercenaries they have no honor. An assassin that has a contract on him captures him alive, the Master of Torture, tortures him to an extent and then finds something creative to do with to kill him, like hanging his body from the Church of Salvus and saying "You do not need honor to send a sword through a man." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tier III These ranks are considered the highest ranks, they are difficult to obtain and only trustworthy members of the guild can obtain it. Talon Arch-Assassin: This rank is the highest rank possible you can go on the Assassin tree, this means that you have to have connections with other armies and assign assassins to smaller tasks, you also need this rank to assassinate royalty in the Talon Mercenary. This is the greatest honor. Talon Legend: This is the highest rank possible you can go on the Mercenary tree or the miscellaneous tree. It is the greatest honor to get the Legend rank. A person that has this rank would do Prime Mercenary tasks but also do tasks that Bowlt does. Usually a Legend would own a guild-house (Vaerhaven, Malinor or Orcish lands). The Legend also has the job of causing riots on the streets and paid-for political violence. This is the greatest honor.
