If not, then please do so (link above): No, but I will after I have posted this application here. Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes, I have read and will follow it in my biography. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Acting out the role of a character in a different land than your own (often mythical). Players must stay in character, such as using their race's mannerisms, accents and abilities. Meta-gaming: When someone's character makes reference to knowledge which they are not meant to know about. For example: Saying, "I think there's a secret door to the right of that cave," without seeing the door or having been to the cave before. Power-emoting: Saying something that is unavoidable, taking advantage of other players to put them in a situation they cannot escape from. For example: Saying that you have mortally wounded somebody without their consent to begin combat. The person is mortally wounded, so they must die. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Luthien Fletcher. Current Age: 18 Sub-race (if any): Southeron Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Luthien lived in a small village in Oren during his childhood. He lived happily for many years, until, one day, a group of Undead attacked his home. His family were killed, and all he held dear, destroyed. Luthien hid beneath a table for three days, surviving off bits of food that fell to the floor, seared by the fires that the Undead started. Eventually, Luthien emerged, intact. Everything in his once happy, peaceful town had been destroyed. He was distraught. Luthien decided to leave immediately, he did not like the idea of hidden Undead soldiers within the ruins. The young Fletcher ran away at once, travelling in an undecided direction across the plains. He fought monsters, swam across rivers, and eventually found his way to a large forest. It was here that Luthien decided to stay. For two years, Luthien lived in the forest. He learned how to hunt, taking down big game with his makeshift bow. He even learned how to talk free food out of passing travellers, learning how to use his skills of persuasion. But Luthien was missing something: a family. He was drained of communication for his time in the forest, so he was anxious to make contact with the outside world. Luthien packed up his belongings, and left the forest. He traveled for many days and many nights, finally arriving in Abresi. He hopes to make a bright future for himself here. Ambitions for the Future: To find a loving family which he can call his own. He has been living alone in the wild for two years. Personality: Kind, adventurous, courageous Skills: Hunting, combat, persuasion Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Brown hair, fair skin, muscular Any other details you wish to share about your character: Has undying faith in the nobility and the Emperor is his main idol. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Years of hiding have thought me to be stealthy. If I shout, the dark-clothed figure will be alerted to my presence. He is moving slowly and sneakily. I could easily pass him out at walking pace. I decide to act like a regular citizen, so as not to give away my plan. I walk by the man, saying a quick greeting. "Hrumph," is his moody reply. I continue on my way towards the guards, whistling an old tune. They spot me. "Where are you going, so late at night?" one guard asks, suspiciously. "I have something to tell you," I reply, in a whisper. "Well, go on!" supplies the guard. "See that man?" I ask. "He is headed for the Emperor's residence, and he seems rather shady." "That man? What he is doing is his business!" another guard shouts rudely. The shady man looks up. He knows the discussion is about him. He runs for the gates, dagger in his hand. "Guards! Do something, he's headed for the Emperor!" I shout. The guards sprint towards the man, yelling at him to stop. Within seconds, the skillful assassin has defeated every one of them. He is clambering up the gates now. I am the only person who can stop him now. I pull my bow from my back, and notch an arrow into the string. I pull the string back, taut and strong. I aim the arrow tip at the assassin, who is almost at the top of the gate. "Fly straight and true," I murmur. I release the string. The assassin stops climbing and turns around, as an arrow pierces his skin. He falls from the gate, dead. I call for help from the other guards in the city, who answer my plea. Days later, the Emperor summons me to his keep. My trial is over, and I have been found innocent. I am rewarded with a large sum of money and special rights within the city. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: This is the first time I have noticed this cottage. I have lived in the forest for two years, yet never saw it. Luckily, the tree-house shelter I used to live in is only about fifty foot away. I sneak away in that direction. However, I am worried that the man will be killed before I return. I form a plan. I grab the hilt of my iron sword, and face the blade towards the ground. Next, I lift the sword above my head, and throw it at the back of one of the bandits. There is a disgusting, crunch-like sound as the blade emerges from the other side of the bandit. He looks down at the tip of the sword, gasps, and then collapses. The other bandit wheels around, hand on his sword. I am already leaving the tree-house by now, bow in my hand. I rush back to the cabin. The old man has stabbed the bandit in the back. The bandit is chasing the old man about the clearing, swinging his blade and screaming. I aim my bow at the bandit's head and prepare to fire. The old man sees me. "Look!" he shouts. The bandit laughs. "You think I'm going to fall for that?" he asks the man. "No, really," the old man says bluntly. I release the arrow. It flies swift and straight, reaching the bandit's head in no time. He screams in pain and falls to the ground. "Please don't shoot me," the old man sobs, backing towards his house. "I am not here to hurt you," I reassure him. "Go away!" bellows the man, running inside his house and locking the door. I shrug, it is sad to see a man so very afraid in his own garden. I will return some day, to reassure the man and help him with any problems he has. Unarmed, of course! 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: I pull my coin pouch from my pocket and root about in it. I show him the interior of the pouch. Nothing. Not one coin. I sigh, and tell him that I am poor. He looks at me sadly. "I was just like you, once," the man says. "No money, and nowhere to go." "How did you find food?" I ask, turning on my persuasive charm. "You have no food?" the man asks me. "No, unfortunately." I say, then look at the ground. The man places his hand on my shoulder. "I'll see what I can do," he says. "Follow me." The man leads me behind the stall, reaches under, and grabs a loaf of bread. "Here," he says. "Eat well tonight." "Thanks you, thank you!" I say, nodding crazily and staring at the bread. I haven't eaten since yesterday evening. "There is one more thing," I say. "Yes?" the man asks. "What is it?" "I'm.... looking..." I murmur. "Go on?" the vendor continues. "I'm looking for a job, if you could help with that," I say. "It's not that I'm not grateful," I continue. "It's just... I need to be able to support myself without begging anymore." "I know you're grateful!" the man says, having been in a similar situation himself. "I'm sure I can arrange a job for you." I thank the man again, and watch closely as he explains how to work on his stall, telling me the prices of each item. Note (Important), Please Read: I have problems uploading my screenshot, but if a GM could please give me their name, I would be able to try and PM them the picture. Please don't deny me because of the screenshot, I will try and PM a GM the picture when possible. Thanks.

I ask, never turning my back on the mob. "I don't want any trouble, brothers," I say, turning to the elves. Then, I grab the young elf by the shoulder, and lead him away. (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: The first ware that catches my eye is a large quiver of fine arrows. I lift it up and turn it over in my hands, inspecting the quality. By now, I have become an expert on all things related to bows. "What is the best price you can offer?" I ask. "35 Minas," is my reply. I sigh. "Oh... I was really excited about purchasing this quiver, but I can only spend 25 Minas." "I suppose I can stretch to thirty..." replies the salesman. " I guess I could stretch my budget too," I reply. "27.50 Minas." "29," answers the man. "27.50 Minas," I repeat. "Fine, fine," the man says. "27.50 Minas it is. Would you like it to be wrapped up for you?" I smile wryly, my skill at haggling remaining intact. Unfortunately, my pictures won't upload (Error403).
