At a young age his family was hit with much troubles with the issues that went on within Oren. A fight for power lost the Paco family a lot of trade partners that were apart of other duchies and cities. Chuck was not educated and always wondered what it was like to read a book. He wanted a better life and to go around the world. His father, Talf, had photos of his trips to Furnestock and the lands of the great Carrions. Chuck had heard funny stories of the peasant Carrions and the disappearance of the great humans that led to their power. One night his will to go took him to the point in which he would not wait any longer. He ran away from home to go see the world and the once great cities that were filled with people when the rule of the Horens was strong.
