What do you think the server will be like? - Directly what is advertised, Minecraft mixed with roleplay elements in a fantasy world, all of which appeal to me. What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is the act of assuming the personality and essential identity of someone else, fictional or non-fictional. In the gaming realm, it is no different, you act with their traits, background, and other characteristics in mind, not your own in real life. What’s metagaming?: - Using out of character information in character, such as hearing about an attack through teamspeak and then preparing for it in the game even though you did not learn in the game. What’s powergaming?: - Forcing an action upon another player in an unfair fashion, for example making your character unbeatable in fights or giving them unrealistic traits for your own advantage. What’s your character called?: - Carter Louthan What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 20 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Carter Louthan was born following the wake of the civil wars that tore apart what was once the Holy Oren Empire. His mother and father, millers by trade, were simple folk who lived on the outskirts of the city of Abresi. By nature they believed that the turmoils that surrounded them had nothing to do with them, and therefore they should do their best to stay away from the conflicts of the nobles that sought to rule them and the realm. Carter was happy to do just so, and in his early years, prepared to do as all his ancestors did; Milling grain, growing old, and passing on the trade to another generation. Yet as things often so do, everything changed one fateful day. It was a brisk autumn afternoon, and a twenty year old Carter was wandering the capital of Abresi, past the usual sights of rallying soldiers and feuding nobles. He had seen it all before, and nothing led him to believe that he would stop seeing such so long as he lived. However, as he turned a corner he came upon a curious sight in the town center. A man, preaching before a crowd, red faced with effort and screaming at the top of his lungs. The people looked in awe at the man, and several made hand motions and muttered unheard words. This was the first time Carter would see up close a priest of The Church of the One True Faith. The church of Oren. He had of course, seen these men from afar, and heard of them, but never had he been so close, and heard the words. The man spoke of the One True God, the Creator, who duty of those around him to purge the world of evil through military and ecclesiastical works. Everything he heard amazed him, especially the different Saints of the Church, the Hymns, the very idea that beyond his little, meaningless existence, there was a purpose so much greater that could be achieved. That very night, Carter announced his intent to his Father that he wished to join the Church, and perhaps one day become a priest in his own right, to spread the will of the Creator through speech, for he was no warrior or knight. To his great delight his father and mother gave him their blessing, on the condition that he visit and should his father fall ill and not be able to find a replacement, help run the mill. These words being said, the next week, Carter set out to begin a new life, to bring order into his chaotic nation with the Church. What are they like (personality)?: - Carter is not an incredibly complex man, he is like his father, just a man. Capable of spite, as well as kindness, love, as well as hatred, though he is more inclined to help a man than to rob him. He has no particular quirks that stand outright at first glance, or even with a deeper look, in many ways he is a boring person. What are their ambitions?: - At the moment Carter's one true wish is to become a member of the Church of Oren and rise to priesthood and perhaps further, to spread the word of the Church and the Creator, and to help heal the wounds of decades of civil war in Oren. Do they have any special skills?: - Besides being an apprentice miller, none currently. What are their weaknesses?: - Not outstanding in any way physically, no special talents or skills. Of low birth with little to no classical education. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Of average height, with brown hair.
