Republican Systems of Edonia (2147) General Activity: A vast battle was happening in the VR program of the starfighter corp of the Edonian navy. A notable squadron, Blue squadron, is advancing in on a hostile dreadnought with the vessel putting heavy flak fire down range. “Stay in formation! We’re nearly on target! Once there release your payload on their main cannons then peel off to protect our star cruisers!” the flak fire was intensifying on the small twelve strong squadron. Only a few more minutes and they would be right on target. Callsign Blue Three was flown by a man of notable importance, Dredge Ram, an earth born man at the age of 21. “We’ve got incoming hostiles coming in our twelve!” one of Dredge’s wingman shouted over the comms. “Blue eight and nine draw their attention away from the squadron!” Dredge’s squadron leader was a seasoned veteran of the Kalronian wars. The two fighters broke off in front of Dredge and sped ahead engaging the small intercepting force destroying three of them in the first pass. “All wings prepare your payloads, target the main cannons on the aft then break off to escort our homeship out of system.” Dredge reached down to his right flicking one of the many switches on his simplified console, under his starfighter deployed four mediocre sized xylorite missiles. The flak surrounding the formation was becoming even more intense, thankfully the single layer of shields they had helped stopped the debris caused by this. “I’m hit!” Blue two screamed as one of the strike craft exploded in front of Dredge. “Initiate attack run!” His wing leader shouted into his ear piece and he broke off the formation following in on his wing leader as they zoomed into the center trench of the dreadnought. Small point defense rounds zoomed by his craft, Blue four happened to be hit with one of these rounds slamming nose first into the vessel’s hull. Up ahead was the main gun tearing apart the Edonian fleet, a weapon designed purely to muscle through any shield and continue going. Within a few more seconds his wing leader shouted “Fire, Fire!” and upon hearing this Dredge pressed down on his joystick releasing his payload then zooming out of the trench with his fellow wingmen. The explosion behind him was strong enough to push his craft forward even when two kilometers away. “Fall into formation and return to our ship, all wings report in on status.” Dredge looked around the formation disheartened at its smaller size, seven of the twelve craft that had assaulted the dreadnought were destroyed. Ahead of Blue squadron was a small but ample fleet of a battleship and its escorts of cruisers and screens, many of which were destroyed from the dreadnoughts weapon. Dredge would peek back behind him to see the hostile warship being decimated by the Edonian fleet before its reactor exploding in a flash leaving nothing but debris. “Good job gentlemen, we have some more room to improve for next time. [Joint Accord project] (6 AP) Research would begin into the Dragonsnake Infantry Body Armor (DSBA), this would be a revolutionary suit designed for any scenario the Accord would be in. The suit would use the Kanatian designed bodysuit and combine it with the Federation’s Itoron-carbon body armor. They would also use an extremely stripped down and barebones exoskeleton version of the Imperium’s power armor to reduce weight on the soldiers and hopefully cut down fatigue. The helmet would have a heads up display with LAS II installed to ensure every soldier’s survival ratings high. The suit would also have magnetic boots to help with boarding actions. The Xylorite battery to power all suits systems would be placed in the center back and run through the entire suit, it would be big enough to last weeks at a time before being recharged. (3 AP[15 Invested]) With the SLAM rifles introduction into the Edonian armed forces a need to upgrade them with current weaponry would a necessity. The research completed with the Iirjae rail guns would be downsized to fit the SLAM frame. This overall improvement to the firing mechanism would hopefully turn these already deadly rifles into something unworldly. Due to the overwhelmingly powerful upgrade to these rifles a name change would be issued to differentiate. These rifles would be called the Pax Rail rifle. Republican Systems of Edonia (2145) General Activity: The six small transports sped through space from Feldspar, the mountainous terrain below quickly becoming less and less visible from orbit. In the distance a small task force of ships awaited them, a singular large vessel in the middle of a formation surrounded by a few screening craft. Inside the transports held a fresh batch of marine recruits fresh off boot camp, many of them were young men eager to see what the universe had to offer. One of the men who was sitting towards the ramp looked terrified, while space travel wasn’t new to him it still made his anxiety sky rocket. His uniform was the standard Edonian blue BDU, all of his items were in his duffel bag on his lap the only memory of home would be a picture of his mother. His comrades were all solemnly quiet as they approached their new home, they all knew they were going to be in an environment unlike anything in their lifetime. Soon the squadron was met with an escort of A-50 interceptors, old fighter craft created at the dawn of the Edonian navy. The wear on their hulls visible from the windows situated in the room, some of men were starting to turn more nervous. The man sitting by the ramp looked around once more before looking to his friend and whispering to him. “Do you think the food is going to be like basic?” The comment seemed to calm his friend even causing him to chuckle a little. “Ross, the navy is notorious for having slime for potatoes.” Ross looked at his friend with a smile seemingly unaware that the transport had docked in the mediocre hangar of the large warship. A tall man stood adjacent from Ross, the man turned and shouted. “Alright marines stand up! We’ve arrived on the ENV Jericho, the first Edonian battleship to grace the milky way. We’re to unload our **** then proceed to our rooms on B deck where we will promptly prepare for a tour.” The marines began standing getting into their respectable lines, their lieutenant turned round awaiting the ramp. While the ramp fell Ross felt like it took years, his palms were sweaty and his nerves were completely shot. The noise of work from inside began to shower through into the hull of the transport, many hangar crew were busy on maintaining the newly arrived transports and their fighter escorts. Ross tried peeking past the LT to see what awaited him, to his surprise the hangar wasn’t very large for a ship of this size. The LT stepped out and onto the hangar door, Ross and the rest of the marines in tow. Parallel to Ross was three other transports with marines unloading out of them, two transports on the sides of Ross’s also had men pouring out of it. The hangar itself had at least two hundred men assigned to running it, only ten A-50 interceptors sat prepared to launch at any moment with crews eagerly working on them. The marines behind Ross seemed to be just as captivated as he was, their first tour was on one of the most prestigious ships in the Edonian navy. The some 700 marines began to march towards a set of large doors situated at the back of the hangar. Once through these large doors the hallway would suddenly branch off into multiple ones leading to different decks and sections of the warship. Ross’s platoon would be heading straight for their respective room, it took them about twenty minutes of walking to reach it. Once there the men would be set up to bunk with their squad mates. The room itself was large enough to hold a maximum of sixty soldiers, a platoon was only fifty men in the Edonian marines. “Get off fucker, I called the top bunk.” Ross grabbed one of his squad mates and yanked him playfully off the top bunk, the smaller man whom he threw was laughing. “Listen here *******! I know where you live!” Ross had been friends with this man since they met in Boot camp and been assigned as battle buddies. His name was Michael, the man was born and raised in the slums of Feldspar with only his father to raise him, his mother had died in childbirth. They bonded over the fact that they were both raised by single parents and took solitude in this newfound companionship. Ross threw his bag on the top bunk after helping Michael up. “Ross, do you think we’ll be able to communicate with home from here?” Michael looked curiously at Ross as the two men began unpacking their things. Ross shook his head, “The only thing we will be able to talk to is the wall and each other Michael.” Michael shrugged setting down a picture of his father down on his bed, he patted Ross’s back before turning to leave. Ross watched his friend leave, he took out a photo of his mother and taped it to the wall of his bunk. After all of his items were unloaded he stuck his duffel bag into the locker by his bunk then walked up to the small window in the room. They were orbiting Tyrese I, a gas giant situated in the Feldspar system. In the distance the sister ship to the ENV Jericho, the ENV Mabel could be seen approaching surrounded by its escorts. The ship arrived two hundred kilometers from the Jericho, it’s shadow visibly being casted on one of the moons surrounding Tyrese I. Ross sighed then turned to see all of his peers preparing for the tour, the only thing in Ross’s mind would be the coming campaign. Everyone knew that the feathered menace would soon strike out and it would only be a matter of time until the Edonian’s were at war once more. Their tour guide arrived motioning for the platoon of marines to follow her, she was blonde and in her blue navy fatigues. The group of men followed her out, Ross found his way to the middle of the group. The tour lasted a whole three hours, the ship was symmetrical but massive. Ross was already tired from his journey, the touring made him exhausted all he wanted to do was sleep. Ensign Thor Bellson stood at the window, his blue navy fatigues reflecting in the glass. The young man was only nineteen years old and freshly graduated from the naval academy, right out of school he had been assigned to the only light cruiser in the fleet, the E.N.V. Jarvis. Thor’s role was a space warfare officer and had control over the weapons systems of the vessel, his crew members numbered to two hundred. A finger tapped his shoulder, one of his warrant officers held out a document to him,“What’s this?” he said taking the manilla folder from him. “The captain has asked that all officers are to receive a briefing on our next operation soon, it’s going to be rather unique.” the warrant’s response interested Thor, “Thank you, you should hurry up delivering these I’m sure the captain will tear you a new one soon.” The officer laughed before saluting then walking down the hall, a few more manilla folders in his left hand. Peeking at the cover of the folder, CLASSIFIED in red letters covered the front of it. Whatever this briefing was it needed to be read immediately, Thor went on his way down the hall passing the many rooms of deck B. The ensign blew off many people trying to speak to him as he walked to his room and upon reaching it he shut his door. The room was modestly small with only a bed, locker, a desk, and a single shelf that was half full with books and documents. Thor took a seat at his desk opening up the document taking out and reading it extensively, Keerim forces had been spotted not too far from Accord space. Immediately Thor’s heart began pumping faster as he realized the situation was an Accord matter not an Edonian one. The briefing inside detailed that a small task force consisting of the four member states would rally together in the Kanatian border and watch for any incoming Keerim forces. “God ******* dammit! I was for sure they would only stay north!” Thor put the classified documents back together hiding them in a secret compartment built into the desk, turning he went to his locker and took out a xanax and took one. The ensign had awful anxiety issues for his age, the whole experience of being away from home and now the Keerim only made it worse. “Sir! The captain request you come to the CIC immediately!” The abruptness of the hollering startled Thor before he answered. “Roger that!” he responded gripping his locker door to collect himself. Thor gathered his sidearm and took his cap off his bed opening his door and walking out heading for the CIC located in the middle of the ship. Upon reaching the entrance to the command center he could hear extreme debating going on inside. “What the hell do you mean there’s more on the way! I thought for sure they had no idea we even existed down here!” one of the officers shouted at the captain. “Can it soldier! This is the card we’ve been dealt with and as such we will respond with ours. A taskforce consisting of us and a few other ships will be deployed east as an early warning force, we are NOT to engage them unless we have to. High command assumes that they want to colonize a small outpost world and nothing more to ensure the Lithruans don’t strike them in the ass.” Thor took his position at the table, a holographic map with the eastern fringes of the Accord on it. “We are leaving in two days and are expected to remain there for a year before we are relieved by another Edonian ship. Brief your team’s, I want our men to know exactly what to expect and make sure the gravity of the situation is known to them. Thor, I want you to do diagnostic test on our weaponry asap.” Thor nodded at the captain, his chest felt like a Redon was stepping on it. “Yes sir, my men will begin test as soon as our meeting is adjourned.” The captain nodded then began to go over orders for the other officers, Thor himself sat in silence tuning out the voices. The only thing on his mind was the hellish tour he was going to have.

He was thirty years old when he joined the Edonian military back when it was still an Initiative. The old man was now thirty seven years of age, he had served in the Kalronian war and personally watched his fleet succeed over them twice. Despite the losses he suffered under his command, he gained recognition within the Republic as a war hero and became a leading member in modernization of the military. Now Bellson would command the first Edonian Battleship in history, it’s a momentous occasion for both Bellson and the growing nation. The recent advances in weapons tech would make these vessels something to truly fear. As he watched a remarkably large Longshot gauss cannon be settled into a hardpoint on one of the ships, Bellson knew his goal of preparing the navy for the coming incursions was soon to be complete. Republican Systems of Edonia (Interstellar Accord) General Activity: The S.R.S. Woodrow idled in space, the frigate had been preparing for a weapons test for weeks being equipped with the newly research Fulmine MKII cannons and targeting computer. In the distance stood 10 drones of various sizes, each equipped with a set of engines and Itoron-steel armor. The weapons test is being done in remote system of Accord space, observers from the entirety of the Accord were on board the frigate as to watch their progress come into fruition. Eager to see this new weapon perform an AH shell was quickly loaded, one of the smaller drones began to speed off in the coldness of space. The computer quickly went to work locking onto the drone, the Fulmine cannon instantly training on the target and in a matter of moments would fire at the drone. The shell flew towards its target and in a matter of time the drone went up in a large explosion. This would be repeated with the remaining nine drones, all were killed within the first five shots. The only problem the computer had handling was a target that changed trajectory such as a fighter. Star Republic of Edonia General Activity: It’s been a long 12 years since the people of the Initiative could vote on decisions and chose their own path in life. A military regime was installed as a means to replace the ineffective and corrupt council that kept the denizens of Feldspar on a information lock since their arrival. The idea of a republic has grown strong within the people of the initiative and thus to avoid mass rioting in a time of strife the regime has stepped down in favour of a democracy. The changes were slow but became very apparent as time went on, there was more freedom in day to day life, less emphasis on industry and war. The newly established congress would set in motion to rename the Colonial Initiative to a proper nation’s name, The Star Republic of Edonia. A presidential election would also be held shortly after, the system would follow in the footsteps of its earth ancestry and follow America’s old system. There was no true parties that would form within the first year but it’s obvious that a few groups of people within congress would eventually band together to better their chances in an election. At the end of the election only one candidate was loved by all, Derrick Shearing. The newly elected president’s actions would focus on opening the borders of the newly formed republic to all, alien or human. The second motion would to continue research on the weaponry that the navy uses and the rebuilding of its damaged fleet. News from the western front is eagerly taken in by the citizens of Edonia, Over 600 souls were lost during the two battles with the Kalronians. Any news of victory against them was celebrated in the streets, barracks, and even schools. Despite this eagerness to show support, the people were hesitant to send in anymore troops until they feel that they could stand a chance. While news is taken in from the western front, the eastern war is largely ignored due to the lack of involvement. The USA’s freedom from the Keerim was celebrated for a short moment until they heard of the atrocity committed by them. Shortly after the people would be in arms and congress would be stormed by a flood of emotional citizens whom declared that the federation would receive humanitarian aid within a few months. Also due to the forming of the republic, trade restrictions have been lowered all round allowing the nation to enter into the GTC. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: The Vixen was accepted graciously into the fleet taking it’s rightful place as pride of the UCI fleet. It was to be given to a captain who participated in the first battle against the Kalronians, Leahy. Fighters were quickly loaded on board after a few weeks and shortly after the crew began training onboard to increase their efficiency with her systems. Fighters began flying in formation and practicing space combat with drones to hone their skills before they enter into war against any threat thrown their way. Frigates practiced new formations and escorting patterns to protect their new carrier, the size comparison left the crews in awe. Meanwhile the upgraded LAS program was installed into hud in the UCI’s arsenal augmententing their military into a more accurate and cunning force. (Cooperative Fleet open fires on Kalronian Battlegroup) After spending six months training their crews and preparing for their new doctrine the UCI granted Leahy command of his own carrier strike group. It would become the standard makeup of the UCI carrier fleet consisting of a single carrier or support carrier, two light cruisers, three destroyers, six frigates, and a multitude of corvettes. This fleet would be deployed in theory on long tours outside of the homeland to do battle or project force when necessary. It's a momentous step for the fleet as it undergoes a phase of understanding and maturity, it’s a good time to be a member of the military. Meanwhile as this training and construction occurs, the Kalronian front has seen immense progress over the year. The battle for a Kalronian colony is a success but fighting is still continuing. The space battle was long and bloody, many ships were lost due to the Kalronian technological superiority but the tenacity of humanity rang true. The UCI would have been dealt a staggering blow to its navy losing a great deal of frigates, a destroyer and a corvette. Captain Bellson, the acting commander of the Cooperative fleet fielded them to the best of his ability in unison with the UCF commander. The footage of this battle having been recorded by a far off allied support carrier would be saved and analyzed by combat specialist. Seeing that many rounds of their kinetic weaponry don’t even find home they purchase laser weaponry from their cooperative brothers and began research on improving their kinetic weaponry. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: The formation of the alliance was a surprise to the citizens of the initiative, the troops on tour didn’t even hear of the news until a week after. The arrival of alliance forces into Ganvius space a month later was a welcome relief to the captain of the UCI fleet. The captain’s mind was put at ease upon seeing more friendly human faces as he greeted them aboard his destroyer. A meeting was to be quickly held by the captain in order to bring his newfound allies up to speed on the state of the war and their possible orders. While the meeting was held nearby the Ganvian high command station, combat still raged on the frontlines and the men were eager to get a taste of battle again. After the meeting was adjourned the captain went on a tour of the many new human vessels eager to see what his companions have brought to the table. Back home the completion of their shipyard meant construction could once again commence on their vessels. After the plans were drawn up for the very first support carrier it entered the slipway for construction. It was their first vessel to hold strike-craft and provide force projection on its own. A colony ship was set to be finished by the time the support carrier was. It was an impressive display of industry and was made sure to be protected by a small detachment of frigates and marines. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: The rumbling noise of the many systems on the bridge drown out the hushed voices of the crew. The captain looks out into the vastness of space watching a small Ganvius detachment turn then warp off into the nothing. His mind was racing, their orders could come any minute now and it’d be up to him to lead his men into battle against the alien threat. An officer approaches him and hands him a manila folder titled CLASSIFIED, he then turns and moves to return to his post. Swiveling on his heels the captain would take his seat at the helm reading through the paper, his face blank as he took in the information. Despite being far away from the frontlines the military was optimistically preparing for any incursion into their space. The remaining fleet would patrol both systems actively and soldiers are on high alert stationing the many frontier outpost. Marines patrolled the shipyard with double their numbers and kept its small defense guns ready at a moment’s notice. Daily reminders on evacuation locations and places to hide are ran twice a week, both colonies were tense with activity and fear. The need to see build larger ships would also arise as frigates and destroyers could only go so far against their alien foe, the shipyard would be upgraded. Research taken in from their UCF brothers would be taken and made into a prototype and tested, until then production lines would start on their first set of power armor. The LAS VI program would be installed into the hud’s improving the soldiers capability. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: VICTORY ON THE KALRONIAN FRONT Images of a small space battle would be played across the screens around the U.C.I showing the Ganvian-Human fleet destroying the Kalronians in combat. Shortly after the U.C.I. fleet would return from their first combat mission, the crews and marines obviously changed by their experience. The masses would cheerfully greet the troops whom seemed relieved to be home yet many looked onto the crowd with blank stares.The more jovial soldiers would tell tales of the battle reciting the size of the Ganvian fleet and the firepower of their ships. Casualties from the battle were an entire fleet of Kalronian ships ranging from three light cruisers, five destroyers, and four frigates. The Ganvians lost a light cruiser and a heavy cruiser to overwhelming fire and ramming and both a U.C.F. and U.C.I. frigate were disabled but still salvageable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Research department took the supplies and captured weapons frantically beginning research looking to reverse engineer the Kalronian technology. The science behind it mystifies the smartest of the scientist as they pick apart the equipment obviously drawing up plans and blueprints to begin reverse engineering the equipment. The brass congratulates the soldiers that were on the tour asking for details and accounts archiving the Kalronians ships encountered and discussing tactics used that were successful. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: The U.C.F. sent videos and news reports from the south galaxy wide conflict in an effort to spur its leadership into action. The U.C.I answers this call to arms by the U.C.F. rallying a destroyer, two frigates, a troop transport, and its entire corvette force into the First Fleet. They will meet up with the U.C.F fleet in orbit around Feldspar then warp towards the Ganvius sending hails. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: Images of U.C.I. Marines in combat would clip past on the screen, Leahy would stare at it crossing his arms obviously impatient and focused. “Once the Marines are in the capitol building I want a transport prepared and our new destroyer deployed overheard of it to help prevent retaliation.” An officer would salute then run off down a narrow corridor disappearing as the door closed. Combat would continue for another hour until Council supporters began surrendering en masse at the sight of the new Halsey class destroyer hovering over the capitol building. Intercoms all over Feldspar and Aldeban would echo with the speech of the victorious Leahy, it was quick, and horribly blunt. “Our initiative has grown from a small vessel to a nation under our great council but they were intended for only leading us through the beginning of our journey. They have become malignant and fat off of their few successes, piggybacking off our strong military and spreading lies to you, the people. We are not the only human beings to have made it away from Earth and yet the council would have you believe that a lie. We have received transmissions from another human civilization, The United Canadian Front whom are not far from us. Due to their attempted facade and total lack of clarity the military has seen it fit to replace our council effective immediately.” The intercoms would shut off and armed soldiers would begin to appear in the streets of both colonies ensuring that peace would be kept in the streets. The capitol would be silent as the citizens would be taking cover long after the fighting stopped frozen in fear. Leahy would sit on the bridge of the destroyer looking out at the cityscape with a blank stare playing with his beard, he’d then turned to his communications officer. “Order the shipyard to construct another Destroyer and I want you to send a signal back towards the U.C.F.” [Army Patrol on Aldeban] It’s been weeks since the coup took place, council supporters have abandoned the vast cityscapes of the Initiative making way into the vast wildlands on both planets. Soldiers of both the army and marines are sent on long patrols into the frontier in order to root out these runaways executing them and burning their bodies. It’s leaves an obvious impact on the troops sending many into a state of shock and disgust. The news is kept secret as soldiers who commit these atrocities are sworn to secrecy and if they break it their entire family is killed. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: “You can’t be serious.” the raspy voice boomed across the open hall silencing the many council members amid their arguments. An older man clad in decorated navy blue uniform would stand situated on the opposing side of the council podium. “How do you expect me to defend our planet from threats with a token force of five ships and only a hundred aircraft?” The man would scratch at his shaved cheek shaking his head in frustration, he’d lean over the metallic stand in front of him. “All I’m asking for is two more frigates and the beginning of research into this new strange black metal we found a few years ago.” A short pause would ensue leaving the open room filled with tension and uncertainty as the council members spoke among themselves. A weathered old man in his forties would stand in the middle of the podium staring down at the decorated man. “This will be your last request for the next few years, the people are beginning to think of you as a warmongering lunatic. You’ll receive your ships and we’ll assign a research team to this new metal. The council also sees it fit to request that you assign more soldiers to protect government property as our population grows. You are dismissed High Commander Leahy.” the man would wave the Commander off returning to his seat crossing his hands sighing. “Thank you, I’ll assign a small battalion of 250 soldiers to protect the various government buildings in the meantime I’ll be overseeing construction of our new ships and research of this metal, I will report back when I’ve made enough headway..” Commander Leahy would salute to the six council members before pivoting 180 and walking down the hall shortly to be flanked by his personal guard of marines and officers “While these new ships are being completed I want to begin another war game with our fleet, I feel our men are getting rusty. Leahy said to his accompanying officer as they walked down the narrow hallways of the orbiting shipyard passing by busy workers and armed marines. “Rusty? The citizens of the UCI felt a sense of pride and near excitement at the news of the colony ship leaving with its military escort. While the masses were watching over the ship's ceremonial leave, soldiers were busy in the annual broadford wargames. 1000 Marines were pitted against 1000 Army soldiers over control of a large river located far away from the city centers. Intense fighting has been going on around the south mouth of the river with an estimated 400 Marines and 600 Soldiers vying for control of it, the rest have taken position along the edges of the river with slight skirmishing ensuing. The wargame typically last a week with the previous battleground being over a mountain with the marines coming out on top. United Colonial Initiative General Activity: The UCI’s first colony quickly flourished on Feldspar despite arriving a year later than most of their unknown counterparts. They quickly set out constructing infrastructure and preparing to level off a nearby mountainside for expansion. The citizen population that arrived grew to reach 140,000 strong and quickly expanded to envelope the planet in many settlements. In high orbit a shipyard was erected and it produced two Caldwin-class frigates in a short time. The Initiative was bustling with patriotism and optimism leading their military to grow and their government to blossom. Despite this new found sense of accomplishment they held a proper service for those to perish on Earth and then set out to stake their claim in the galaxy. They sent out the Feldsand to scan the three other planets within their solar system to see if any were suitable for colonization.
