Discord Name; You have it Chicahtoc Empire Government Type: Empire Leader: Emperor Chicahtoc II Culture: Human History: The Chicahtoc Empire was born like many others that share it’s moniker, with blood and fear. Unaware of the much largely dominating Atmeric empire in the region, the tribal squabbles in the cradle were left alone to fester and grow. Out of the nine ancient tribes that had existed on the peninsula, three had surpassed the rest of the six. The Chicahtoc had grown to dominate and quickly rise after a series of flower wars took place with the other two predominantly great Jaguar and Eagle tribes. Their population swelled with the abundance of food they had acquired over the course of these small skirmishes and it was during this time that the people had become to grow accustomed to sacrifices of Jaguars and Eagles at the altars hoping for good omens. Past tribe chiefs of the Chicahtoc began to notice some of their fellow tribesmen became capable of strange powers shortly after these sacrifices, some capable of great feats of strength or incurring pain in their foes. Soon the Jaguars and Eagles began to display their own magical abilities with the usage of Direct magic from the Jaguars and Essence magic from the Eagles. Skirmishes moved from men simply battering each other in the fields to beast trampling men, others being drained of their bodily essence on the battlefield. It was the Chicahtoc’s strategy however to simply capture and empower their own soldiers in these increasingly brutal sacrifices. Those responsible for performing this and leading these warriors were part of the ‘Blood Caste’. It was no surprise that soon, half the number of Chicahtoc’s were capable of devastating entire hordes of Jaguars and Eagles in single combat and then continue their blood-lust filled rampage through their lands. Though without a leadership that carried great ambition, there was little these warriors could do after set upon to kill and capture. This was until the great Chicahtoc I rose on the field of battle. Tribe Chief Titiani was slain as a spear of an eagle warrior impaled his sternum and in his final cry he declared his disciple take action and revenge. A single man rallying only twenty of his fellow blood-crazy tribesmen went and killed over a hundred foes with the help of his friend Tlani. A beginning of the end for the eagle tribe as many would call it to this day as Chicahtoc I instead broke the great tradition of the flower wars. The greatest ritual having been performed to this date over 5,000 captured eagles and jaguars were killed atop the altars of Chica’s city. Screams and cheers could be heard for miles, the fear and terror being struck into any that would pass by as the entire tribe became to essentially power up into a crazed killing machine. In what could be called the 'red night’, thousands of Chicahtoc tribesmen descended upon all eight tribes of the lower cradle killing, maiming, capturing, and sacrificing anyone in their way. Those lucky to survive were brought to kneel under the great altar of Chica, the Eagles and Jaguars being the first and most noble came to give their vassalage and eventual unification under this new great empire. Despite the great animosity felt previously at the start of the empire, many would come to respect the Chicahtoc for their prowess in battle and how they treated those who would submit willingly. The Jaguars and Eagles having earned the respect of their overlords became something of their own caste within the society of the empire. They would luckily be placed onto an equal level with the Blood caste for having resisted and led powerful wars against their masters in the ancient times. Under Chicahtoc I, the red night became a legend as two decades passed under his fair rule and the tribes became to blend their identity. High General Tlani - L5, C5, M3 - Friend of Chicahtoc I and tutor of Chicahtoc II, this man is a strong political figure and in his old age is still a force to be reckoned with. Having survived many wars and the unification of the peninsula, he eagerly awaits his retirement after he has full confidence in his friend’s offspring’s abilities. Master Priest Estli - Arcane 6,C4, M1, L2 - A great educator and spiritual guide to Chicahtoc I, he leads the Arcane blood society that deals with day-to-day rituals and sacrifices. Lately his interest has been placed in studying new forms of abilities to use for his blood magic. Blood Magical ****: T2: Ritual of Bloodlust, this is the earliest ritual performed by the Chicahtoc in the ancient times. It is capable of strengthening a group of warriors to almost superhuman levels of strength and ferocity in battle but making them almost impossible to control. Years of practice however has allowed mages and priests to properly bring these crazed men into order. T1: Incurring minor pain has existed as both a method of torture or disheartening enemies in battle, an adept must be well trained in this ability before he can proceed to priesthood. T1: Sapping foes of their strength to empower yourself has always been a joyous sight for the adepts of the blood caste, watching their foe wither and scream in pain could just be enough to empower themselves. T1: Blood Healing was an odd ability created by Estli in only recent years, it was really up to chance and circumstance when the man sacrificed a slave in order to save the life of an Eagle infiltrator after he had fallen from his local altar. Unique Units(3): Jaguar Bloodletters - Soldiers who distinguished themselves on the battle by capturing foes to be sacrificed in the many blood rituals. They excel in capturing warriors and innocents in battle or secret. Eagle Infiltrators - These men are made up of the finest and most agile soldiers taken from the Jaguar class of warriors. Their ability to evade and disable opponents would be built upon with training in the fields of stealth, assassination, and espionage. Master Blood Priest - Masters of blood magic, they have excelled in their studies and with years of experience have fully brought their abilities to power.   8. Tjieran Unitary State Tjiera was the capital of the Unitary state and as such was the planet where most businesses, military orders, and obviously the Tjack resided. Couriers and trade ships arrived in the spaceports daily thanks to Fusion and Warp technologies, ships could even land on world and take off with little effort save for the largest of commercial freighters. Their place was among the government shipyards in orbit which acted as the main port of Tjiera. Occasionally there would be an error in trade reports or mismatch of material but it never left the port and yards backed up. Tjack, the eastern jewel was the only planet capable of competing with Tjiera in any meaningful way. The first colony formed by the state and the only to have tried to succeed has left it with both a great sense of pride and strong background in independence. Quickly after rejoining the Unitary state, it became something of a commercial competitor with multiple new start-ups forming and growing in recent years.   10. Tjieran Unitary State [Setting the stage.] The Tjieran Unitary state having been formed in 2087 after a brief succession war began the greatest period of growth for the Tjieran people. Fusion technology became a hot area of research to increase speeds and power exponentially bringing down the cost of living and improving the day-to-day mundanity of it. Discovering how to build and use the warp in 2125 led to a dramatic increase of space travel too, ships being able to cross the vast distances of space much quicker. Alongside this period of time, millions of souls eagerly set off to colonize Belsoc and Alisk adding two new worlds to the unitary state. During this unprecedented time of growth, the unitary struggled to find the perfect system with coups and readjustments to deal with the additions of planets the system of the Tjack was formally created in 2120. The Tjack family line, having been prominent in the politics of the state since 2005 had accumulated enough political power to thrust their family line into the head of government. Ellison Tjack became the ‘Tjack’ which stands for the ‘United Voice’ of the nation beginning the rule of their line. Each child would be groomed specifically to rule with the help of a council filled with the governors of each planet. Tjiera would remain the capital planet of the unitary state having the majority of the population based on it, Tjack becoming the secondary planet in the nation in the event of catastrophe. Each planet however would be granted a great deal of freedom with how it based its laws due to the distance and circumstances each planet would need to deal with. They however had to follow the formalized set in place by the Tjack to allow at least some form of order in space. The Year 2200 saw the construction of thousands of industrial buildings all over Tjiera as a form of job creation, a growing nation would need hundreds of materials to properly construct industry, spaceships, and homes. In a time of great distance too, an exploration vessel is created to prepare for future endeavours into the void of space in order to find others. The Tjeiran Unitary state was formed in 2085 after the successful reuniting of the lost colony of Tj’ack, the leadership taking on the name of Tj’ack which means The Unitary in their native language. Though the Unitary had existed since 2025, the Tj’ack had broken off from the home planet of Tjiera in a bloodless campaign to free themselves of a planet so far away to really control them. The succession however caused a great deal of animosity between both planets as the Tj’ack quickly formed a republic and fielded a small navy within the short few years it had been separated. Unitary forces, woefully authoritarian in their ways were sent out in 2079 to retake the planet and bring it hopefully peacefully under the united role of the Unitary again. Their arrival in 2081 went unnoticed and soon attempts were successful in raiding the Tj’ack republic as the usage of the first ever carrier and strike-craft soundly defeated the planetary forces over the course of a few months. Ever since the Tj’ack had been brought back into the fold, their culture had to be reshaped and in an effort to bring about more unity the obvious name-sake was chosen. Discord: You have it captain Name of Nation: The Gallian Trade League Type of Government: Plutarchy History/Culture: Gallian’s have always had a knack for making a quick piece of gold wherever they could during the great war, their main export obviously being weapons and artillery pieces. Assuredly millions had most likely died by a Gallian made tool of war. It was during this time period they assured their neutrality and only took action to defend their trade lanes occasionally engaging with the growing pirate threats. However come towards the end of the war the league had practically a token guard force and fleet to just watch over its borders. A big component to this was the rush for Vitramite, much of the funding that the guard had was sent to discover new uses of this wonderful green material and how to profit off of it. Quickly new technologies of flight were rushed and much of the rich rose to prominence being able to sell their new found resource for the highest bidder. It was not long before those industries that once required nothing more then a man and his horse were based around ships that could outpace both and carry more. The Free Junta The Junta Guard was abuzz with the newly announced R31 Semi-Automatic rifle, its prototypes performance was incredible and the ability to put way more lead down range excited the new recruits of the Guard. Whispers of a better communication method and even ammo went up and down the vine but was kept quiet. Arrival of the first tanks however was greatly exaggerated to the infantry, the ability to both ride and be supported by them would be a great boon. Sightings of the navy circulated throughout the rural towns of the Junta’s territory, their large cruisers occasionally flying over on patrol and gracing them with their presence. Eagerly their crews seeked the foes necessary for killing innocents and hampering income to their great nation. Many ideas began to circulate in the Defense Ministry, replace the bolt with a magazine-fed weapon and creating a mechanism to allow it to fire without manually chambering it. It will be dubbed the R31 Semi-Automatic Rifle.   25. Turn 17 2217 EVENTS The Skellar Kingdom host an expo based on their strong metallurgy, all those in contact are invited. In the North, the Grand Empire and the Karass Dominion sign an uneasy truce. Years of warfare has left both sides exhausted, so they need the time to recuperate. And rearm for another round. Fareen-Tintran hostilities begin to ease as both sides begin to openly meet and converse on the topic of peace. After several years of result-less warfare the Fareen seem to have decided that Imperialism at this point in time is not viable, as there are many more worlds easier to take. Republic of Korinth The research into improving the single-phased shields needs more investment, it was easy enough to project a small field but to add another one is causing major issues. Skellar invitations come to the republic with the intention for them to travel and see their materials and alloys in action. CORRUPTOR DOMINION The year would have been quiet. Uneventful. New worlds taken over. Corrupters yearning for prey. However, the discovery of a drone scouting one of their systems brings them to attention. There are other neighbors nearby. Species to perfect. H’Wong Nation Retrofitting goes well, the H’Wong now boasting a fleet more than capable of defending itself. A bit of math here and a bolt there and eureka! The H’wong scientists have successfully sent a message between their worlds by Quantum Communications. This should shorten reaction times and ease up commerce and exchange of information substantially across the nation. H’wong settlers arrive on a world covered in ice, desolate frozen wastelands being the primary feature of the vast flat landscapes. The only two kinds of weather for this world are cloudy and blizzards. Something odd does however come to the attention of the colonists, and that is a blue crystal in massive formations in various caves across the planet, which seem to be… just odd. The Remnant Surprisingly the Robotniks of the Remnant discover a way to gain more yield out of their fusion reactors! [T2 Fusion Reactors Unlocked] Even though the Type-15 is built around a single cannon, it’s entire superstructure, engines, and even the barrel needs to be designed. With another year of investment, the remnant drones assigned to the project believe they’ll be able to carry the two and finish the program and projectors for the shields. They don’t ask for much. The Foundry So much of the foundry dedicated to a war-like environment, what are the robotniks planning? Their colony ship arrives to a quiet barren planet, the only notable thing being a giant scar across its surface. Whilst the size does not quite come up to the expectations, a first functional prototype of the ship is finally constructed, meeting the minimum specifications of the parameters all across the board. It should be able to deploy troops in single-use rapidly onto planetary surfaces, causing damage on impact, and more damage with the robots marching out and onward. Talarak Clan The Talarak fleet is able to evade being found this year, their new armor helping to keep away the occasional patrol or prospector. Stunningly the first ship reaches and moves to make contact with these aliens, it comes into a direct course with one of their ships. [ENCOUNTER] With the resources and testing they design a deflector field capable of projecting enough energy to slow bullets and other objects! Peg-arm clatters his pegged limb onto the device to reveal it to all. [T1 Deflectors researched] The Antebellum Corporation Northernmost colony has a foreign fleet warp into the system, looking damaged. Another fleet showing up in pursuit, engaging them, destroying them. Then going into orbit above the colony. Conducting repairs. Nothing more. Nothing less. The exploration ship that was sent east found nothing, the ones to the north however discover battlefields and debris. Their suspicions are confirmed later this year when their colony has new arrivals. Their sensors research actually goes incredibly well, the scientist only ask for another year of investment and supplies. Many of the companies present good hand-held rifles with vast improvements over the previous generation. They use the better propellant used by their ship-held counterparts meaning the bullets have much more stopping power. The only issue is that its all concept, they would need more resources to fully finish these weapons.
