Ridley’s earlist memories were of Curon where his parents moved their family of six, for trade and their father pursuit of religious freedom often involving the with the Cannonist church often helping with basic services as a helping hand to clean or to provide upkeep. His father always had made it a point to teach his children of “how important it was to give to the community around you so that they know their is more than just crooks and theives in the world” he would often remind . Ridley spent most of his eleven year old days in the sun with his brothers and sisters, exploring the city and shops around with the few spending coin his mother Sera and his father Arthur would give them for groceries. Naturally Ridley would make an attempt to turn his honest five minas into 10 which lead to trouble. A man standing a tall over a young Ridley watched him as he did his simple slight of hand tricks in front of a small crowd of foolish believers. As the crowd dispersed slightly upset about losing their coin in a ‘fair’ game, the man approached Ridley as he knelt happily counting up his coin greeted then man “I’ll be happy to take your money in just a second, if you’d be so kind as to let me fini-“ before he finished the man grabbed him by the collar and another man slim in stature said in a sly tone “I think we’ll be takin tha’ we run this corner for er...personal business. We cant ‘ave sum runt takin’ valuable space.” A snap and a muffle scream came from Ridley, as they threw him on the ground and took his coin pouch. “You think that’ll teach em? “ The slim man asked “Aye...That’ll do. He’ll learn his place. Let the adults run business on the streets.” This began a chapter of Ridley’s life that he’d never forget because of the limp from his never fully healed leg and he learned that to be a successful business man, he’d have to be just a bit smarter than the lowest scum in the area. Ridley had finally awoken in a blurred state his leg still in pain, he reached to his as quickly as he could for his great great grandfather Arus’ pocket notebook from his vest pocket and opened it to a page marked “The Corn yellow haired man from Sutica” he continued to read about how the man from Sutica was a cleric who’s family had major successes through the year and Ridley thought to himself as his sat up before his cry fro help “I’m going to be the richest man in all of the world.” Sidenote- I Used to play on the account here, GenoFk/RealHalo.
