What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is becoming another person other then yourself, and essentially pretending or acting as if your in another world and are another person. You are "Playing a role" of sorts. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is just another thing that breaks people emersion in the roleplay environment. Metagaming is knowing something your character wouldn't know. You have to remember that your roleplay character does not have the same knowledge and life experience as you, you must only do and discuss things in character, that your character would realis1ticly know and have experience with. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power emoting is a way of giving your character too much power in the game. For example, saying you do something and it works, rather then allowing other players to react for themselves, you state how they respond because you have an idea of what you want them to do. This takes the realism out of the roleplay environment because, as you know, you can control others actions in real life. Runa Seymour is a young adult High elf who was raised in The Holy Orenian Empire. He was born and raised there, in the year 1524, and has never traveled beyond the city. He is an orphan. He was adopted into a family when he was very young and he never knew his real parents. Runa is a shy lad with a heart the size of a boulder. He gets nervous at times but he will always stand up for and protect what he holds dear. From the time when he was a child, Runa has always had a facination with plants. All of his time is spent in the library reading tales of ancient wizards and magic, or studying every botany book on the shelf. His adopted father and him run a very poor, run down, flower shop in the city. Runa wants nothing more then to get out of the dump, and experience the world he has read about in all of the great stories. Runa has dreams of the outside world, the mountains, the strange creatures he has never seen but in his crude drawings, He intends on leaving very soon. He knows his leaving will break his adopted mothers heart, but he knows he is destined for far more then, running a broken flower shop. He spends many of his days in the library reading books, and walking alone in the gardens with no one to accompany him but his own mind. He is a shy lad who enjoys knowledge and admires people who help others with no agenda, only out of the goodness of their heart. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Runa aspires to be a wise wizard some day. He wants to help people, He does not have a thirst for battle, But he wants to use his magic in any way he can to help other people. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Runa is very smart, he is very good at learning, teaching, and problem solving. He is very good with people and their manipulation. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Runa needs to work on his courage, his ability to do what needs to be done. He also needs to find a way to learn real magic, instead of just the stories he has learned from his time in the library. His entire life, him and his mother, have lived a simple life, but he has always had a longing to delve into the art of magic that his father was so devoted to. What do you think the server will be like? - I imagine it will be an experience where I can immerse myself in a different world with new people and new possibilities, and have fun and be part of a great world. Because I think that probably adds a nice sense of tention between the different races , But of course that behavior isn't okay OOC. What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying to me, is taking on a character that is different from who you are, in a different place and situation then one your actually in, and completely giving in to and being that character. Or using the rules put into place and the things and places around you to change the game. What’s powergaming?: - Power gaming is a way of playing the game where your working with great commitment to reach or achieve a certain goal. Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - I was born in a far land I cant quite remember, all I remember is the glimpses I get in dreams of the sun setting over the grass covered peaks of the tall hills. I was taken away from my elven family very young, and put into training under a human wizard named Searos Chorster. Searos raised me and taught me the art of magic from when I was very young. Recently Searos has been very sick, and has been failing to take care of me. It is now I who take care of him in his old age, and I gladly stand by his side until a higher being takes him from this planet. What are they like (personality)?: - My character is very compassionate, and wise. He will do anything to help even the most insignificant halfling. What are their ambitions?: - My characters ambitions are to delve deeper into learning and understanding of magical powers, and to learn the secrets and wonders of the world we live in. My charecters biggest ambition however is to make my Father, well adopted father, Searos proud. Do they have any special skills?: - My character is adept at understanding the secrets behind magic and being able to control it. What are their weaknesses?: - My characters weakness is compassion. Losing people close to him. Without my characters master Searos, My charector would be lost and alone and have no guidance and not know what to do. Anything else you want to say about them?: - My character is not afraid of new things, or adventure, because of his history with magic and learning about things that are impossible to fully comprehend. However, without the guidance of his Master, My character feels lost and un confident with himself.
