  1. ((It's "Hammertruppen", not whatever garbage your banners have on them. Please stop butchering my language.))
  2. I'd be cool with the fishing being less boring than it is right now, but a game area? That makes little to no sense IC, half the races want to kill eachother and the other half spit on the ground in front of the others whenever they walk past, just to make a point. Not to mention that spleef makes no sense IC.
  3. It's at the road crossing next to Alras, the flag points towards Tempum.
  4. Fishing nets aren't craftable yet, is that intentional? Also /persona view doesn't work if you use the persona name as input, which is a bit annoying.
  5. So because he has modded his minecraft client, he is not definitly not hacking? That seems like some awkward logic, right here.
  6. Bookshelves are craftable, but require books, which aren't.
  7. Out-Of-Character Information What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - nightscheme How old are you?: - 20 Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: - Yes, I have roleplayed on a semi-small server called Age of Mines for about half a year, when that server collapsed I went on to try out about a dozen of other roleplay servers before running my own one for about 2 months, which ended up failing rather unspectacularly. Before I started roleplaying in minecraft, I had roleplayed in Garrysmod for about 3 years, prior to which I had roleplayed on various MUDs (Basically IRC roleplay, but a little more extensive than that). Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - No. How did you hear about us?: - Browsed around Minecraft-related Forums What do you think the server will be like? - Entertaining, atleast somewhat serious, not too RPG-heavy and hopefully immersive enough for me to enjoy the experience. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - The whole statute about 'Mechanical Standards', since it clears up a lot of non-sense that is common on most RP servers. Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Yes. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- Not really, they all seem pretty reasonable to me. Definitions What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is, as the name states, playing the role of a character in a defined setting, essentially playing out the life of this character as it develops. What’s metagaming?: - The abuse of information gained out of character to influence the actions of your character. What’s powergaming?: - Depending on the circumstances it is either act of forcing an action upon another character or roleplaying an overly powerful character(i.e. An invincible, infallible, extremely skilled knight or something of the sort). In-Character Information What’s your character called?: - Soren What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Human What gender are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 21 Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Soren was born the fourth son to a relatively wealthy noble family during a time of war with the Imperial Army marching on the Dwarven city of Khal'Arkon. From the moment he could walk, Soren was allready expected to be great at everything - problem was, he wasn't. His father, a battle-hardened cripple distantly related to House Visconti, cared little for the skinny boy with stick-like limbs.Soren had trouble walking for more than a few metres at a time without stumbling up until he was allready four. His skills with weapons were mediocre at best and his stamina was, in his father's words 'despicable', in short, he was a total disappointment. By the time he was twelve, Soren was frequently not showing up for training lessons and was spending his time wherever his fancy took him, which, more often than not, was the library that his father had been neglecting for years. As a boy of noble birth, Soren of course knew how to read and write, but had never been confronted with such a wealth of written word and soon began sticking his nose in dusty tomes about whichever topic interested him that day. From historical accountings of the rule of the Dwarven King Charles the Mad and the separation of the Dwarven settlement of Alras to treatises on the Uruk Society, Soren read it all. This habit grew more prominent with time and soon the inevitable happened - his father caught wind of it and promptly punished the aspiring young scholar. Encouraged by the stinging red marks on his behind, Soren started coming to the training lessons regularly again, all the while sneaking into the library in his free time anyways. For Soren, lessons usually ended with a lot of bruises, sometimes even shallow cuts and while he didn't gain much proficiency in any of the qualities his father deemed necessary for warmongering, he did gradually build up muscles, not that they were of much use to him. As Soren grew older and became more muscular, so did his sparring partners and by extension the severity of his injuries, sometimes reaching the level of sprains and rarely even a broken bone. And while Soren continued to put up with the lessons, he spent his evenings in the library, resenting his family more and more. When the time of Soren's 18th birthday came around, he couldn't bear it anymore, the constant scorn of his father, the sad look in the eyes of his mother, the ridicule of his brothers, the bruises and scars - it was too much. And thus he left his family's lands without a word, leaving just a letter saying they shouldn't expect him back, packing only necessities and set off to find his own way through life. Soren travelled across the empire, moving from casually town to town, occasionally working here and there, whenever money ran short, eventually reaching his intended destination: Kaldonia, the capital of the great Imperium. Here he made himself a home, hiring out as a scribe and secretary, until he departed through the portal to Thales, where a new adventure lay ahead of him. What are they like? (personality): - Soren is generally pleasant company, he is very well-mannered, allmost gentleman-like and usually courteous. He is not prone to anger and usually remains grounded in even the most dire of circumstances, though may on occasion be quite cynical about his outlooks. He harbours a dislike for most military men and at most times loves books more than people. He doesn't have a very high opinion of himself. What are their ambitions?: - Soren aims to gain recognition in his own right, in order to step out of his family's shadow. He wants to prove to his father that he is more than capable to stand on his own two feet. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - He has a head for numbers and a scholarly attitude, yet is absolutely useless at any sort of weaponry-related skills and many other physical activities. Give us a description of how they look?: - Soren has brown hair long enough to cover his neck, along with dark green eyes. He is tall and somewhat buff, but still quite lean. He usually wears practical clothes, as opposed to overly fancy ones. Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: - http://imgur.com/jsT0fw4,uydwRHD
