  1. Alex Faelan rears his old head and dons his ancient armour as the old sack of bones holds out for all of the second wave before a blocked pommel smash to have been deflected in his direction, knocking him out. Oh well, at least no more scars!

  2. Alex Faelan remembers the wars he, a Courlander, fought in for the Empire before the at-the-time Emperor turned his back on their plight against the Carnatians before then supporting their enemies when the Courlanders then looked elsewhere for salvation.

Alex Faelan remembers Dwarven screams as they burned in alchemist's fire when Oren attacked the co Snow Elven & Dwarven fortress back in Vailor, the many crusades against heretics back in Athera and scars from battles that still litter his body, yet when more were being added on a regular basis from Carnatian raids, no help could be found within the Empire.

Alex Faelan remembers Siegrad, Petrus and Aldersburg; he remembers Felsen and Riga; he remembers at long last a victory, a hope of being able to stay in his home, only to find the skirmish outside Kraken's Watch to have been a blood-soaked diversion as a small Imperial force garrisoned Riga.

Alex Faelan remembers the Empire that turned their backs on the hundreds of war veterans that were forced to leave to the Dreadlands, where they still couldn't find sanctuary, 70 to 95 years old homeless as a result...

He remembers why Courland will not fall silent.

  3. Alex Faelan struggles to keep up with Edward Hearth & the dark haired man before deciding a little mulled wine might get him a little further. Which it does. He then thinks about all the poor 'someones' who find themselves opinionated, yet don't want to accredit themselves to their thoughts, as if thought is something to be ashamed of.

"THINK FREELY," Alex yells to the voices in his head, the unnamed voices with potentially controversial opinions.

((srsly tho', if you don't want to name a character in your IC comments & it's not obvious who it is, please just don't comment...

  4. Alex 'The Ancient' Faelan wonders why so many of the other readers decide to try to keep their anonymity whilst making remarks usually against the Felsen Watch mercenary guild. He then sighs this thought away before thinking about how many of the other poster readers will be reading HIS thoughts now! "Get out O' MY HEAD!" he yells at the other readers as he slowly stumbles back, though pausing as some ****** tears up the poster.

  5. "What's 'appen' to good, staunch Canonism nowadays, wha' with the Emp'rer kickin', wha's it called, de-wha's-it... Kickin' the Pontiff out o' bein' the Pontiff. Doesn' seem very pious to me!" states the old Alex Faelan, brave Canonist ((brave enough to use a real character instead of Mr Generica)) and devout gentleman.

You know a meme is **** when ^

You know the server's gone to s*** when people are passive aggressively judging each other through veiled comments about endorsed memes.

Just get a ruler and compare already, we're bored of it.

  7. It should be assumed that the 'lower' region owner has more control over the people in the sub-region than the 'higher' region owner, eg the baron over his barony comes before the duke above him, the King of the kingdom over the Emperor the kingdom is part of.

This is basic autonomy. The rule seems to have it the wrong way round. Can't say I'm thrilled.
