    Out of Character Information:

     

    The Covenant of Mar is an organization focused on the preservation of their covenant, and fufilling various missions/duties that is given by the Valkelm (Or Leader).  The missions can be a variety of tasks, and are ranked from F - A rankings.  The various mission catagories are seen below:

    Intelligence Gathering - This involves gathering intelligence on a person, organization, culture, or anything really.

     

    Manual Labour - Your run of the mill, choppin', cuttin', crackalackin'.  (Mining, Woodcutting, etc.)

     

    Protection - Involves guarding an area, person, or other point of interest.

     

    Combatives - Involves something related to combat.

     

    Diplomacy - Involves stuff with politics.  Boring stuff, usually.

    When your not out doing a mission, your free to partake in any activities you'd like, including the Mar Brawling Pits.  You can bet brawl for money, and bet on different fighters.  Every Elven Day there's a big fight you can bet on, or sign-up to participate in.  You can also go into the Den of Daggers, once you've ascended through rank, and explore various secrets within.

     

     

     

     

    Rankings:

    ----------------

    Valkelm (Lord) - During times of great strife, covenant mentors all come together and decide amongst themselves a Valkelm, who will oversee the future of the covenant.  The Valkelm is tasked with the majority of diplomacy, and initiating new members into the covenant.  He also distributes out missions to mentors, who then give it to their underlings.  In times that many mentors are not present, the Valkelm will distribute missions to lower ranks himself.

     

    Mentor - A rank of high respect, and honour, a mentor is acknowledged of their vast knowledge within the covenant of a specific area of expertise.  Mentors can take 2-4 Disciples under their wing, training them in the more advanced arts.  Mentors are usually leaders in warfare, often times getting their own warband together.

     

    Disciple - An official covenant foot soldier, the disciple has proven him/herself time and time again, and has thus attained the rank of disciple.  The disciple can now take on an apprentice of his/her own, training them in the various basic arts of warfare.  From parkour to swordsmanship, the disciple has shown prowess over all fields, and is regarded with high respect.

     

    Apprentice - A newly oathed soldier, the apprentice has shown some sort of skill, giving them the right to join the covenant officially.  An apprentice will typically be under the mentorship of a disciple or mentor, depending on their skillset, and men available.  Apprentice is a very important step in dedication to the covenant, and thus most time is spent at this rank, proving your worth.

    Initiate - An unoathed recruit, this individual has shown interest, or has been taken interest in by Mar, and thus has been given the right to associate with the covenant.  While, they've yet to prove themselves, and are free to leave at any time, an initiate has nothing to lose, and everything to prove.  Many have died at this rank, or simply given up, in the constant struggle to prove their worth.

    Branches of Mar:

    ----------------------------

    Maruader - Reknown for their red coloured robes, the Maruaders within Mar are the most ruthless of any member.  They are the frontlines men, vanguards, and the ones always putting their lives on the line for the sake of the covenant.

     

    Assassin - Reknown for their black coloured robes, the Assasins are masters of stealth, and swordsmanship.  They typically will sacrifice themselves if they believe the covenant can be given the upper edge in a fight, by doing so.  They work in the shadows, many Assassins work out of the Den of Daggers, not associating with other members.

     

    Retributors - Reknown for their blue coloured robes, the Retributor is a stalwart defender of the covenant, often times staying at home to defend the innocent, or protect the fortresses.  Retributors usually do most of the recruiting, and often will be given their own Warband if they secure a Mentor title.

    What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - My favorite rule is the choice between PVP and RPPVP.  It makes a dispute quicker to be settled.
    Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to role-play as a villain?:- Yes.

    What’s powergaming?: - Doing unrealistic things your character could not normally do. as well as trying to control other peoples actions or overwriting them with your own  {Climbing a 1000 foot tower, with no equipment.}

    Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Marwind was always a stubborn child growing up in the forests.  His father, scoleded him consistently for his immaturity upwards of fourty years before he left home in a childish rage.  He lived in the wild, amongst nature, really trying to find his true calling amongst the foilage that had shrouded his people in mystery for ages.  He had built himself a small shack amongst the foilage, cooking the mushrooms that bloomed wildly throughout the darkened skys of the great overbrush that was the forests.  He survived like this for many decades before finally returning home.
     
     
     
    When Marwind returned, his father had grown solemn, losing his only son for such many decades.  He sat Marwind down, and began to tell him of his mother.  His father, had mated with a High-Elf during his trip inside  Haelun'or, who had taken a particular interest in him.  They both escaped to the forests and lived together in harmony.  A group of High Elven had wandered past the couple, and their new son, and had launched a Fireball at his mother, killing her instantly.  His father had drawn his bow back, however he was defeated.  He was spared only when the group had recieved a letter, and left immediately.  His father, was never the same, and had always been hard on Marwind.
     
     
     
    Marwind now understood his father's torment.  Losing his mother, and raising him on his own was to make him stronger... He looked his father in the eyes, and asked him what he wanted him to be, and he would consent no matter the job.  His father softly spoke, "You must find your own path in this world, as your mother and I did so long ago..."  Marwind slowly nodded, and proceeded out of the small house.  He didn't quite know where his morals lay, and yet... He did not hold any anger towards the High-Elves.  Marwind took up his satchel, and made his way back to the forests, to think of what he should make of his life.

    Much time has passed since the events that occured.  Marwind, currently lives in a small shack in the Fiandria Forests, exploring the ancient ruins that lie ahead.  He aims to one day decipher what these could've belonged to, and continues to explore.  [This stuff is more or less what I'll do when I join.]

     
    What are they like (personality)?: - Very quiet, and morally neutral.  He has a strong sense of dedication to whatever he does in life, and will make sure that his goal is acomplished.
     
    What are their ambitions?: - To really just find a purpose worth fighting for in the lands, and to protect his home above all else.
     
    Do they have any special skills?: - He has a strong affinity with Nature, knowing the in's and out's of the forest like the back of his palm.  He's also very skilled in creating tools on the go.  He's attained a strong affinity for the forest, believing that it provides for them all that is necessary for survival, and that a devotion to give back to the forest is essential to prosperity for it's inhabitants.
     
    What are their weaknesses?: - He's very idiotic when handling a bow, and can get overzealous at times in which a calm stature is vital to a safe means of escaping harm's wake.
     
    Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Long dirty blonde hair, secluded for such a long time, it's very long and unkempt!  Wears a basic Elven Tunic, with some light foilage in his hair.  Has gloves with reinforced straps in-case he gets into a fisticuff encounter to give himself a much more reinforced jab.  His skin is a slightly more pronounced white due to his mother's heritage, mixing with his father's cocoa brown skin.  Has a small wooden dagger on his bag, with a leaf-woven hilt.
     
    Anything else you want to say about them?: - I look forward to meeting new people to experience the wonderful world of Roleplay with everyone!
