They should use their energy for better gifts than writing such tripe about their betters.

It is a fine thing than, I do not attend these events. "

Minuvas again sighs, placing the paper next to the toilets for use as toosh paper

"What are the odds we can press them into selective service?" he'd wonder loudly to Minuvas. @Minuvas

Erik Othaman chuckles as he reads the missive over Mortimer's shoulder. "These palace folk way overpriced these brigands. Ah well, I'll take the money all the same."

  4. The Brigade’s Blessing

~4th Brigade Soldiers being blessed by High Pontiff Tylos I, circa 1825~

“I swear to be true to the Emperor and the realm and not to maintain silence about any evil that I may know which is being contemplated against them.”

The atmosphere in the barracks of the 4th brigade was quiet and solemn. The soldiers that were there checked their equipment one more time to ensure that any blemishes were removed and that every inch of their armor was polished. Finally, a lone voice broke the eerie silence.

“We are ready to march!” shouted Lieutenant Velu.

“I swear to work tirelessly to the betterment of the Empire and the Orenian people that comprise it.”

The column of armored men departed from the Bastion in solemn silence down the winding streets of Providence. With each step they contemplated their oath. With each step, they contemplated their faith and their mission. With each step, they reaffirmed in their hearts their duties as Imperial Guard.

“I swear also not to eat or drink with traitors and not to have anything in common with them,”

“Halt!” commanded Lieutenant Othaman as the formation of brigadiers came to stop at the front of the Cathedral. After a moment, the Othaman stepped forward from the column and spoke to his comrades.

“We are the final line of defense for this Empire. This fact is not lost on any of you as you reaffirm this obligation every day. But what we must remember is that we are all children of GOD. This should never be lost on us.”

“And always to defend the honor of the gentlemen I serve.”

“Upon passing through these doors, his Holiness shall bless us and our blades. His words are that of GOD’s so take his blessings to heart. This shall serve as a reminder and a reaffirmation of your oath and your obligation to his Imperial Majesty, his Holiness, and GOD.”

“This I swear by the Holy Scrolls.”

The Imperial State Army invites all of the Canonist faith to join us at the Providence Cathedral on the 14th of Harren's Folly. The soldiers of the 4th Brigade shall present themselves before his Holiness, Tylos I and reaffirm their holy mission.

3: Since bullet wounds are highly prone to infections, and since LOTC medical knowledge is not quite up to modern standards, I feel as though the damage of bullets should be nerfed to be more in line with crossbow bolts or else guns will just be crossbows but more deadly.

Agreed. And that's why there is the stipulation at the bottom of the application where if one party does not consent to musketry RP, then it reverts to crossbow mechanics. I think Hanrahan's intention here is that it is a CSGO retexture of the crossbow into a musket.

    4. it's not an 'i hate oren' thing, this is just an 'i hate something that would probably just end up being an oren niche'

Hearts out to my Haeseni firearm gurus.

I think the chances to hit should be lower, so that a musket won't be seen as a viable individual weapon but as as something to be used in tandem with other musketeers.

Actually, I really like that idea tbh

  8. What's sad about this is that 1/2 of these comments are just gonna be "I hate Oren" rather than actually providing critical feedback.

That being said, so long as they operate the same as crossbows then I dont see the issue. +1

  9. "Othamans shall fight and blood shall be spilt. I have had enough of dancing about the various departments and administrations over this issue of succession."

"My ancestors never went to court whenever there was an issue to settle. Instead, they would fight until one surrendered. Why should this be any different?"

"Let the fight commence!" boomed the Count of Valles.

  10. The aging Count of Valles read the missive as he scratched his wrinkled chin, leaning back in his wooden chair. There was much to contemplate over the past year. "These MRA lads really do have a rather unconventional stance on warfare." He'd note to himself.

"The simple fact of the matter is that the deaths of Norlanders was brought entirely upon themselves. So many lives would have been saved if the King did nie declare war. But he did, and his allies have all left him for dead. He had a choice to surrender and cease these hostilities, however he has failed to do so."

"How can a nation who claims to be a great power fail to protect its own citizenry from a few poorly equipped rabble-rousers? I guess they didn't expect that people from both sides suffer in war, not just the enemy."
He'd scoff at the ridiculousness of the whole affair.

    "Next time, don't declare war."
