How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I haven't roleplayed properly in a while, and so I searched for a good server, and I do believe I've found one! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting out a character of your own creation, or even of other people's creation. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using Out Of Character information to gain an unfair advantage In Characacter. Not cool, man. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is even less cool, it's either making your character absurdly powerful/invincible, or forcing your roleplay actions onto another player, basically forcing things to go your way. Being on the receiving end of this is not fun! In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Character’s name: Lank Birchfrond Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Elf/Mali (W0od Elf) Character’s age: 49 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): With the birth of an elf already a rare and delicate thing, being born sickly and small was nearly a death sentence. His parents were stubborn, however, and did not give up so easily. They devoted all their time into caring for the child, swaddling him in the softest fabric they could afford, never letting him out of their sight and and sheltering him from even a mildly cold day. Their efforts, however valiant, could not stop the child from falling ill. As the family lived deep in the forests of Adrallan, help would not reach them in time to see a physician or even a skilled magical healer. So, they turned to the resident Druid, an elderly elf who was pushing 900 years of age. In order to complete the healing, Lewick, as was his name, insisted that the family become connected to nature as well and participate in the process. The parents reluctantly agreed, learning how to meditate and connect themselves with nature within a weeks time, the love for their son driving them. At the time of the healing, the infant, who after the ordeal decided to name Lank, was placed delicately on a stump while the parents and the elder Druid formed a triangle around him. They meditated deeply, calling upon the spirit of the forest for aid, as no natural remedy had worked thus far. after a few tense moments, they felt a surge of life within them, that was then spread to Lank upon the stump. The moment did not last long, but was enough for the baby to open his eyes and laugh, as that was the only way to express the rush of energy. The parents went to their child immediately, and were overjoyed. They turned to thank the Druid, but strangely, he was nowhere to be seen. Lank and his parents remained deeply connected to nature, until it was time for him to leave home and seek an instructor who would teach him the art of Druidism. ​(I realize this might be a bit dramatic for a backstory, so if needed, I can tone it down a bit!) Personality Traits: Kind, loyal to a fault, and honest most of the time. Pretty awkward at conversation and social events, as he was raised in an isolated community. Ambitions: To become a Druid, and spread kindness and peace has always been his dream. Strengths/Talents: Lank is, of course, with his upbringing very at home in the forests, and proficient at the way of life there. Even though he daydreams during the light hours, he is often oddly focused at night and can see quite well in the dark. He has spent a childhood learning how to best climb trees and move among them, and knows his herbology. As far as Combat goes, Lank has only trained with a bow at length, and is a fair shot, but it is not unlike him to carry a small dagger (more often used for utility than self-defense) Weaknesses/Inabilities: Without good cause, Lank will not attack. Not due to lack of ability, but rather his own personal view as a sort of Pacifist. He isn't very strong, either.
