    Ambition Within the Ripples

     

    I wander aimlessly in doubt of my origin, my life consumed by the incessant yapping of intrusive thoughts. Is fishing truly my purpose? Is this all that life has to offer? I ponder why I venture forth when the only thing I cast out is my bobber, my hopes and dreams seemingly floating away with each ripple. Why must I endure this constant conflict between my ambition for something greater and my consistent return to the familiar docks? What reason is there for me to awaken each morning, if not to prepare for another day of wrestling with the enigmatic waters under the warming sun?

     

    As time relentlessly moves forth, the earth shifting beneath my stillness, I remain motionless upon the waves. Fishing is my life, but I cannot help but feel like an unyielding rock, being relentlessly battered and molded by the ceaseless rhythm of the waves. My outer shell, once steadfast and unyielding, now bears the marks of the ocean's persistent assault. I bite my tongue to stifle the urge to succumb to the hypnotic slapping of the waves, fearing that I might lose myself to their seductive embrace.

     

    As I contemplate my existence, the memories of the past resurface, weaving through my thoughts like the ebb and flow of the tide. I find solace in the familiarity of the docks, where the world around me remains unchanged. Yet, a part of me longs for something more, a purpose that extends beyond the confines of this tranquil realm. The waters hold secrets I have yet to uncover, mysteries that beckon me to venture further, to delve into the unknown depths. But the fear of losing myself in the currents, of surrendering to the allure of the untamed sea, keeps me anchored to this spot.

     

    Each morning, I wake to the same internal struggle, torn between the yearning for exploration and the comfort of the routine. The sun's gentle warmth upon my weathered skin serves as a reminder that time is slipping away, propelling me forward even as I remain stagnant. I am an observer of life, caught between the vast expanse of possibilities and the security of my familiar surroundings. The clash between my desire for growth and the pull of the unchanging waters leaves me questioning my purpose.

     

    Yet, within the depths of my uncertainty, a glimmer of hope persists. The marks etched upon my exterior, the scars bestowed upon me by the relentless waves, bear witness to the strength and resilience that lie within. I remind myself that even a rock, battered and reshaped by the ceaseless rhythm of the ocean, can stand firm against the tides. I resist the enchantment of the waves, for I know that my true self lies in the pursuit of something greater, beyond the realm of fishing.

     

    With a resolute breath, I cast my gaze beyond the horizon. The world beckons, filled with adventures yet to be discovered. And though the fear still lingers, like a shadow lurking at the edge of my consciousness, I take a step forward, determined to find my purpose beyond the familiar docks and beneath the enigmatic waters. I am a Snow Elf, stoic and unyielding, ready to embrace the unknown and forge a path that is uniquely mine.

    It's that time again, with a burst of effort I managed to finish off the last task I had set for myself in progressing Hooked. I've processed the existing submissions for fishing items, and updated some key features internally. I once again ask for suggestions from the community in improving my fishing plugin and adding more substance to its gameplay.

    En tae year 1645, tae dwed folk split undeh two factions. Et wus uh tryin' toime, an' et broke me 'eart tae see me kinfolk split apart en uh disagreement. We dwed are nae plenty loike t'em knife ears er t'em 'umans. We cannae be foightin' amongst ourselves loike t'is. Ets been too long since weh've been united, lads 'n lasses. Tae Kingdom o' Kaz'Ulrah es uh disgrace, en et denounces oor ancestry o' Urguan. Tae be split undeh two flags, Kaz'Ulrah en' Confederation o' 'Ammers es nae oor weh, en' ets me duteh tae reunite our peoples. Wit' t'at, Ae, Adresin o' tae Tunnelsmasher clan, announce meh candidacy fer Kingship. Ae'll reunite tae Grand Kingdom o' Urguan as one again. ARUUU!

     

    RELIGION

    Ets become apparent tae meh t'at ets common fer dwed tae beh speakin' ol' dwed even t'ough t'ey are nae priests. W'ot 'as 'appened? Back en me day tae onleh lads 'n lasses t'at spoke ol' dwed were tae priests.

     

    AGRICULTURE

    W'ot tae Confederation o' 'Ammers 'as done wit' t'eir farmin' 'as been good. Ae know ye folk are nae good at et, an' yer'll 'ave tae learn, but ets in oor best interest tae bring up uh good farmin' industreh o' young dweds. T'at's why Ae'll ensure plenteh farmin' jobs fer dwed young an' old, an' we'll expand oor industry to accompaneh t'is.

     

    MINING

    All yer lads 'n lasses be doin' uh good job et minin', roightly so as we're dwed 'n all. Buht Ae think weh need tae reclaim oor former gloreh in t'ese regards, weh need a directory tae expand oor minin' outputs.

    Fishing Plugin When?

    Do you like fishing? Write some RP items for me.

     

    Go to this Google Forms link and read the description thoroughly.

    I've made a far simpler submission form HERE, the above should only be used by people who are confident they will not mess up the YML formatting.

     

    I'll search through them personally, and determine whether or not they're sufficient to be added to a fishing plugin. Cheers, if this goes well we'll be able to get the fishing plugin out faster. \:)

     

    Edit: I had a small oversight that you folk can't preview these things so you have no clue if the item will look good, so I wrote a quick plugin to download and import your zip files from google drive. To use it, you have to log onto my 1.16.5 server (You can join with versions up to 1.18.2, unsure about 1.19.4), the ip is:

    Edit: There are a lot of issues popping up, and I've realized I've given a somewhat technical task to people who may not know anything about YML files or the likes. Therefore I am going to work on a better way of doing this, feel free to keep submitting files to the form, but currently the import plugin process is finnicky if you do not format your YAML file correctly. (I.e. using TABs instead of SPACES, forgetting to put "" when making a new line in the lore, etc)

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

             

    This character is a Thanhite Golem.

     

    Golems are creatures which were created by dwarves to accomplish various tasks, they have been built and improved upon over countless years by the dwarves into what they are today. The base of a golem is its core. The core serves as the mind of a golem and houses its memories and state of being. When a core is moved, these values are carried with it regardless of its body. The core is typically installed in the safest part of its body due to its delicate and fragile creation which is most commonly the chest region as it is the thickest part of a descendant-based body shape. This location also contributes to the core's ability to effectively power the entire body, due to its centralized location.

     

    A golem's core on its own, while conscious, lacks the ability to perceive senses such as sight or touch. Through the use of Sigils applied to a golem's body, the core can process these feelings and react appropriately when needed. Some sigils can be applied internally to the core itself, such as memory sigils and hearing sigils, while others are external. External sigils can be damaged from means such as scratches from sword impact. Depending on the type of golem one is, they have differing limits of active sigils.

     

    Golems have two states, Blue and Red, which refer to their state of self. All undamaged, or "healthy" golems are naturally in a state of blue.

    • A blue golem is as it should be, obedient to its impera, contains its sense of self-preservation, and will cause no intentional harm to its impera. Blue golems will do their best to complete given orders, and protect its impera. A blue golem's sense of self-preservation is strong enough to refuse orders when it feels that order shall lead to potentially lead to serious damage or complete destruction to itself intentionally.
    • A red golem refers to when a golem's core has been damaged in some way that isn't fatal to the core. When a golem is red there are many ways it could be displayed. A red golem is very rarely strictly obedient like its blue counterpart, and some effect is required when in the red state. An example of red behavior being displayed would be through a golem going berserk, rampaging and killing those around it. Another could be a golem intentionally misinterpreting given orders in order to harm or kill its impera. Red golems which have not gone fully berserk still require an impera and orders.

     

    Golems have five core types, from Thanhite golems to Soulbound golems.

    • Thanhite golems are the standard for all golems, their height ranging from 5ft at minimum to 8ft at maximum. Their build bears an average reaction time, with strength equivalent to an orc.
    • Speed golems are specialized in being quick, their height ranging from 3ft at minimum to 6ft at maximum. Their build boasts the reaction time and speed of a peak human, with the strength equivalent to the average human.
    • Brawn golems are specialized in strength, their height ranging from 7ft at minimum to 10ft at maximum. Their build bears well below an average reaction speed, with strength equivalent to an olog.
    • Task golems are specialized in the completion of repetitive, mundane tasks, and their height ranges from 3ft at minimum to 5ft at maximum. Their build bears the strength and speed of an average young child.
    • Soulbound golems are special in that they contain the soul of a descendant within their core. They require a dangerous and risky creation method and if they fail, can damage both the golemancers in-charge and the soul involved. Soulbound golems can be created with two types, Thanhite golems and Task golems. Their limitations lie with whichever their body is, and they cannot be interchanged.

    I Knew The Sign Maniac

    plugin wasn't removed

    I just made a mistake with permissions in code, then couldn't be assed to fix it and when I got into the mood of fixing it, I got sick and so couldn't test the fix for a day. When the plugin gets updated everyone who is an owner/member of the region they're in can use the command on a sign.

     

    I had made the mistake of trusting a bunch of people in probably the top 100 most toxic minecraft communities to not abuse a feature. Don't fear, next plugin I release will assume every player on the server is a toddler and cannot be trusted with even the slightest bit of power.
