History
I, Helbrecht Ladimore, am from Petrus, the son of a blacksmith. As a young child I dreaded the work of a forge master, and at the ripe age of 16 left my home and signed with a mercenary group. Toured with the Dwarven Kingdom of Uruguan against the Orcish Iron Uzg for a while. After one too many crushing defeats, I started to only take up easy work, such as defending outposts or escorting caravans. This time is when I reflected on my past experiences and began to learn from my past. After a few years, and some new found courage, I started my own band of mercenaries called the Iron Suns. We were fairly succesful, but I chose to disband when time came to move from Athera to Vailor. On top of the lack of work, my men didn't care to serve by then anyways. With the continent flooding, they simply wanted to secure the safety of their families.
I returned to Petrus, and found myself in the company of the Orenian Orator Publius Bracchus, an army veteran. This was just the chance for me to learn more about the topic I craved, military strategy. I became employed as his personal bodyguard as soon as I possibly could. This was ideal, as Publius had no enemies bold enough to attack his offices in either Petrus or Leuvaarden. Working for Publius gave me time to learn more, and turn what was an interest in battlefield dynamics into an obsession. Receiving some of my payment in the form of lessons from Publius, I began to become first, a shrewd businessman, then soon after more of a speaker myself. I chose to use my words to secure power through poise, rather than might. When the time eventually came to sail to Vailor, I went with Publius to build the new capital of Oren - Felsen. I found my pay and opportunities grow greater as Publius became a steward. And was soon granted the opportunity to become Lord Steward, Jace Bracchus, his brother, becoming a count. And Nymus Bracchus readying himself to become a Baron. I now spend my time working with Publius, preparing to make my mark.
