I looked up role playing servers and this website came up. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: When you make a character and act like that character to make the server more fun and enjoyable. Example: Lets say you have a scar on your skin and someone asks how you got it. You would go into role play and tell what happened and put like *rubs scar* or something to show movements. What is metagaming?: When you do something that your character would not know or that you in person would not know. Example: You are in a totally different town and someone is raiding a house in your town. You have no clue until someone sees them and messages you so you come running back to town. You would not know that if they hadn't messaged you so that is metagaming. What is powergaming?: When you do something unrealistic and don't give another player time to react. Example: When you cast a spell that kills someone automatically(which is not possible). You didn't give the player time to react and you did something realistic too. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Character’s name: Fierro Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Elf/Wood elf Character’s age: 202 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Fierro was born in Asulon in 1322 with his father, mother, and his sister. He grew up there. As a baby he would always listen to the animals on the farm and when he was around ten he knew everything he needed to know about the farm. He was an expert his family would say. They made great money and had over 200 animals until year 37 came. A major plaque had spread and all the animals died except for 22 of them. They were put on lock down with us as none of wanted to catch it and get the risk of dying. Sadly Fierro's mom past when he was 44 because of the plaque and he cried for days about it. Since there were no animals to sell they were running out of money fast. After a while the farm got back to its normal profits in about two years. A lot of our family had passed at that time so most of the family tree had disappeared. The family was doing there chores and taking over mom's chores as the years went on. We hired a friend when I was 77 to help us along the way. Her name was Rona and her and Fierro's dad were close. They finally married when Fierro was 87 and that helped us out a bit as we all felt like we were one big family. We always thought of mom though. The farm was doing great and animals were being sold and money was being made. Soon, things got rough. Asulon fell when he was 97 and the whole family moved. Rumor was that some races stayed behind but the elves didn't. They made another farm which took two years. The family adjusted after they entered Anthos and started a farm there. They adjusted after two years as the farm started to get back to normal and all the money was being made but just as they were finally settled Fierro found a note that read, "I have decided to move into the woods Fierro. I am getting old and I feel that I am holding the farm up. I will make a settlement in the woods somewhere far away. I am bringing Rona with me.We love you. We will visit so don't go anywhere. -Exilior (His Father) and Rona." Fierro was 101 when cried just like when his mom died. Why would a father and step mom leave there kids? It was heart breaking. After that the farm went down hill. Fierro was around 111 now. Fierro and his sister were running out of money as the chores were a lot and being only two people it was hard. Soon they couldnt afford food for the animals and the animals started dying. After two years of complete misery of death and starvation Fierro and his sister were forced to sell the farm and they ventured out and moved to a cheaper house and for the next ten years they lived in it. It went good as Fierro got a job as a leather worker and his sister sheared sheep and made wool clothing. Finally Fierro's sister found true love and they married. They moved in, including Fierro with the family. They lived there for 22 years and during that time Fierro's life was smooth. He stayed with hi leather work and lived life as if nothing happened. He moved out when he was 133 and lived at the leather work shop because his boss let him. He did that till he was 175. Fierro considered this a very long time. His sister and her husband moved farther away so he lived on the streets and lived the hard way. This happened for two years until he found a farm he could be an assistant at. He lived here until he was 200. He got a promotion and worked for another 2 years there but his boss payed for a rental for him while he worked. As he reached 202 he realized that his life was not the best. Elves don't live in 20 different homes every year. He realized it took a lot to do that. Fierro wanted to follow his mom and dads footsteps and run a farm even better than the family farm. But more importantly he wanted to learn woodland magic like Control of nature and Communion of nature. This leads to now.....when Fierro hunts for a home and a teacher. Personality Traits: Kind, nice, smart, determined, greedy at times. Ambitions: To make sure the land is being cared for and to be known for being the best animal breeder in the world. Also to find a teacher to teach me forest magic. I have been hacked against before and it is not fun at all and it ruins the role playing experience so knowing I have protection from the server is good. None of the rules confuse me. Meta gaming is when you do something your character has no clue about in the game or in real life. I am a male. I am a High Elf. I am 321 years old. Biography: I am a high elf and me and my family ran a potion shop. I was told never to go to the brewing stands because if I mixed the wrong ingredients I was told bad things would happen but I never believed. I thought it was an excuse to not waste ingredients because they cost a lot of money. Well I learned the hard way..... I was never trained for the potion making so I didn't know one thing. As I was watching my father put ingredients in I got wise and put extra red stone and when he saw me do that he knew right away we needed to get out. He had the whole family out but as he was coming out with my sister the explosion happened and my dad and sister were buried under the wood of the house. My mom and I were terrified and didn't know what to do. My mom and I tried to save them but we couldn't. We ran and ran until finally a path was reach and a sign read, "Haelun'or" and we went. We finally arrived. We made a nice living. We opened yet another potion shop with my mom making the potions and me selling them. Soon after my mom died of age and it was just me but there was one problem. I didn't know how to make potions. Sadly I dropped the potion dream and left the shop. I bought a new house and made my living by renting the shop out. That was until a few days later when Haelun'or decided to declare war against Laureh'lin and it hit me. I joined the army and we fought. I fought long and I fought hard and I did make it out alive with one scar. Shockingly, that scar was shaped like a potion bottle and I knew it was my dad telling me to start my dream and finish his. After the war ended I went back but once again, didn't know one thing about potion making. I left Haelun'or for peace and went off and built a settlement. I tried training myself but it ended badly. Let's just say I had to rebuild at least five times. After that I went off looking for a trainer and a nation/ town to join and here I am now..... As my father was brewing some potions he mixed the wrong ingredients and an explosion occurred causing him to die and the shop to burn down. My mother, sister, and me escaped but just barely. A burning piece of wood fell on me and the house was burning and my sister almost got stuck in storage. As we escaped we didn't know where to go because our shop was on a path that lead to different towns and places. We ended up not following the path but going the opposite way and making a settlement there. Once we were settled we went back to the chores and as i was cutting wood one day i heard the screams of my sister and saw the house falling down. There was an orc and in his hands were my mom and sister. Dead. I ran and ran until i got to the nearby settlement and found protection. All the money the money the family made went to me and I did what my father would have wanted. I made another potion shop and now I am here today.
