What is roleplaying?: Roleplay, in my words, is when you be your character and act as they would in every instance. What is metagaming?: To use external knowledge that you (as a person) may know, however your character does not. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when you make your character very strong (or powerful) beyond that of a normal nature. For example: You are an untrained commoner and are robbing by well armed bandits and you are able to fight them off with ease. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): *Rollond is the brother of Sermour, a merchant currently in Port Vydrik* Roland was born into a middleclass family of Felsen, the capital of the Kingdom Oren. At the age of 18, I was given the option by his father to find a profession of his own, or to assist his brother in his merchant business. Being close to his brother, he decided to work with him. After a few months of doing busy work around the shop, Sermour, his brother, told him he was going to do business overseas. He was going to be delivering a shipment of ferrum to the dwarven capital, of Urguan, Kal’Akash. After preparing for the long journey, Roland set asail, but later was thrown off course by a strong storm, thus resulting in being late and the ship being damaged. After suffering some casualties, but no goods were harmed, Roland finally reaches the dwarfs who wanted said goods. For being late they wanted it to be half price, and Roland being shy agreed without much of a fit, even knowing that he would not have the necessary amount to voyage back home. Roland then took a job on another merchant ship that was docked at the Dwarven capital, so he could accumulate the money to pay for a voyage home. During his time working on the merchant ship, he happened to come to Port Vydrik. A few days after docking he was drinking in the tavern, when he saw his brother come through the doors, after a joyous reunion Sermour payed off any debts Roland had to the captain of the merchant ship.
