After the Brotherhood of the Golden Crow left, a new authority filled its place: Barony of Valwyk. Baron Jovir Kovachev claimed that entire Haense is his own lands, including the area where Cherkassians live on. Jovir asked for Cherkassians' loyalty and recognisition of his rule upon them, but he did not expect them to not forgive the past. Back in Athera, those who destroyed the previous home of Cherkassians was house Kovachev, by the order of Kingdom of Akovia. So they refused to call a Kovachev their leader. Some wanted to fight them off, majority of Haense has been Cherkassians since the departure of Crows. But the council of Xase stated that if they even win, this action would only result Oren to march upon them and slay every single man, woman and child. For sparing the lives of them, they began to immigrate to an another location where an another Cherkassian group is located at.

The group of Cherkassian refugees sets up a camp, making tents and lighting a fire for cooking food. It is possible to hear them speak an entirely different language.

A young man approaches the horses in a curious and inquisitive way, like he had never seen a horse before. "What kind of animal is this?" He asks to the rider.

Due to disloyalties and being unorganized, members of the Brother of the Golden Crow scattered away from Haense, and went into hiding. In the other hand, Cherkassians, who had nowhere else to go other than Haense, and had given their words to fight alongside the Crows in their last stand, are now independent from their bonds towards the Crow. The folksmen and folkswomen may live longer.

Janberk Kuad'je rides his horse through the ruins, only to see that only things that is alive are just some cows. "Greedy Duke desires, whole folk pays." He says to himself, then turns his horse back with a swift move.

A group of Cherkassian refugees enters Vanaheim slowly, with some cattles and pack horses alongside them. An elderly man leads the group, young men, young women and children after him.

In order to stay loyal to their words, Cherkassians joined the Crows in their final stand. Whether it would be a victory or defeat, they knew that it was going to be a massacre. The Abreks would look forward to it. The folksmen would not judge. The folkswomen would understand. The remaining will bury the honored dead. They will sing laments in the name of the fallen men. They will make the name, Xabze and kin keep existing. And they will keep looking, for a home to settle, for fields to farm, for mountains to own.
