    -[!] COURIERS NEEDED [!]-

    zdd-3chGhE_C3h3kExXPBBeWRtgSAD1ukyVw8IwNWu8hRHSuVQQhBVgiPisQVW3EoIjAWHixyzmM87P_NSpco_kYwOxHb2ib-RRcm3JkUERKEWFle1izU37YsRjfS2ooeoKi8ZKY

As time turns forth, a man seeks those willing to find themselves in a place of fortune and despair. Those who find themselves with their eyes on adventure, or those who simply wish to discover the world we live in. That man is the Fallen Host. Anyone can be a Courier. The hunt for a certain set of items is to occur, and the Host seeks out those who wish to accompany and assist him in such. Threats from far and wide see to it that such items of Power are to be held in the wrong hands. The Fallen Host is not one of those men. He wishes to dispose and destroy them, and requires Couriers to do such. Therefore, an open letter is sent across the land, found in multiple cities and villages, on small leaflets of paper, dropped by Ravens...

    "People of Atlas,
I seek the assistance of those who wish to assist me in furthering the destiny of Atlas as a whole. Those who wish to brave through thick and thin to deliver my regards to those who have stolen my property. I stand alone in the fact that the peopling of this continent stand at danger when faced with the abilities one can gain from them. Therefore I am opening my hunt for these items to you. I seek adventurers, glory-seekers, and explorers for my grand task. Come to me, at the Academy of Holm, on the set date, and I shall bring to you my objective, and what you will be paid. An application will be presented below, the birds know where to find me.
    Sincerely,

    The Fallen Host"
    ====================OOC====================

For a while, I've been planning this whole eventline, and I've been trying to softly launch it as time passed, but I decided that the best way to do such is to write a post and make the idea public and to speak of it's occurrence. If you're willing to have fun with high-difficulty events and such, feel free to apply. The “application” follows, and those who apply will be contacted and put into the discord I've made for it. There's a limited window for acceptance.

Around Atlas, written words are spread by an unknown source, passed around like an epidemic.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Steel Hands of the Fallen Host are coming.

People of Atlas, prepare yourselves, for the destruction that they shall leave in their wake.

The Host’s undying heralds will stalk and prey, leaving those who search for them reduced to nothing but ash.

They can hear what you say.

They can see what you see.

Trust nobody, for they may be a messenger.

    Darkness comes.
    Death comes.

    Destiny has arrived.
    It’s time for the age
    Of the Fallen Host.

  4. Alexandra would read the page, checking the vocabulary specifically. "Why would they use uruk-speak for only specific words, when they've previously shown to be able to write normally..." She'd get to steppin', disregarding it completely.

What group/playerbase are you most involved with? Humans, but I've been known to enter places like the Dominion to interact with the Elven races.

    Staff History

I was part of the Event Team once, from December 2016 to January 2017, having been kicked from the team due to an extended hiatus due to family troubles.

    Ban History

    I have never been banned.

    Blacklist History:

    -I have never been blacklisted.

What do you want to join the Event Team?

I want to join the Event Team because I've felt a lack of representation for myself in LOTC. I wish I could properly do something for the community rather than sitting back and allowing people to direct the RP for me. I've always been one to be very shy as a person, both IRL and on LOTC, but my personal social skills have been accentuated by my time on the server, and I believe that the ET can help further my development in that way.

Why should we accept you onto the Team?

Through the ET, I can give people proper and memorable RP experiences that are both fun and notable. There's always a necessity for a fluid and active world in LOTC, and I aspire to utilize my skills from 4+ years of RPing on the server to achieve such goals.

What kind of events do you aspire to create?:

I aspire to create creative quest-esque events, which apply thought-provoking writing, extensive pre-planning, and proper execution. These can all be combined to create a flexible and interesting event that can further my contributions to the people of this server.

    What makes a good event?

A good event utilizes many factors overall. The first of which is fun. Any event can be written well in RP, but if the players aren't having fun, the event as a whole is a failure. Another factor is planning. Impromptu, on-the-spot events can completely go overboard and either end anticlimactically or in a way that the players won't personally enjoy. One more factor is participation. A successful event, across the board, requires participation from all attendees. Therefore, a failed event would involve freeloaders or ignorant players.

Create three in-depth event scenarios. I’m not looking for some prelude or whimsical idea here -- we want an indicator as to your talent and potential to be on the ET. You don’t need to write a word-for-word script, but we want a solid structure and plan as to how you’d organize and carry out an event:

    1) The Steel Cascade: A duo of hedge-knights come together to display an aged and irrelevant form of combat they have found, which is whimsical and worryingly flashy. I would partake in this event by finding a separate ET with the time to present said event to a group, and by getting the two of us to roleplay as the very flamboyant men. Through intricate emotes, the men would seemingly use very flail-esque movements with their weaponry, wood swords, as the demonstration would simply be a display of their learnings. The party would be presented with an option to duel with practice weaponry, on the basis of a wager. Based on the party's response, the combat would be initiated, and the winning party, either the participants or the actors, would gain their side of the wager. The participants can act on this, such as honorably accepting defeat, demanding a rematch, et cetera.

    2) The Coming of the Final Host: This would be presented in the form of an event-line. The party would be presented with a large sentinel-esque golem, seemingly in a frenzied state. Their demeanor would be startlingly erratic, and their voices spouting amalgams of words and screeches. I would play the golem, as multitudes of said golems would pop up around the roads of Atlas, all warning of something known as the "Final Host." The parties that interact with the Golems could attack, or try to figure out as much as they could through it. The Final Host itself would most likely be a bait-and-switch, not being a "dark evil" and more being something completely unexpected and somewhat comedic, in a dark way, considering the dangerous attacks by his golems. I would roleplay each golem to be different from the previous one, pertaining to different significations, such as the Seven Deadly Sins, or something of that nature.

    3) Into the Grey) In this event-idea, the group would be led into the southern tundras of Atlas, upon the guise of a proposition (caravan defense, etc). This would result in them being left out in the wilderness, and forced to survive during a deadly storm. As the ET in charge of the event, I'd mostly administer the actions that they perform, such as building fires, starting up camps, et cetera, until I could introduce a present threat that the group would have to face. The purpose of basing the first part of the event on surviving the wilderness would be to allow for the players to grow a familiarity with the space that they'd engage in combat with later, even affecting how it looks through their actions (cutting down trees, camouflaging their camp, etc.), thus encouraging them to interact with the area by which the event is being held to gain the upper hand in the sticky situation that they had been drawn into at that point.
