Bring back grinding, it fits very well with LOTC. Since your goal is to end up fighting someone somewhere and being better then they are, or becoming rich which is way better on LOTC since theres actual people.

Well really the goal isn't like that at all, thats not the true purpose of roleplay. You need to look past your greed to find actually enjoyable roleplay. Roleplay itself is just the ability to provide an interesting story in an instance and create character progression over time, much like a story but more natural and not scripted.
