Perpetually irresponsible and crass one in his youth, he was forced to take up the clerical robes under the tutorship of the local monastery in the hopes of righting his ill habits. Under this tutelage he developed a zealous faith, but it did not dispel his debauched behavior. Instead, he found faith justified it, and developed zealotry in a sensual respect. Eventually this garnered the attention of his fellow clergymen, and he was expelled for his ‘heinous sins of rampant promiscuity’. Fortunately with the highlands being removed from the cities, Milorad managed to outrun his reputation and start anew. It was during this time he developed a taste for fiery sermons, preaching as he went. As the Duke’s war raged around, he travelled far behind the front lines, taking care of the spiritual needs of the women and children left behind.
