Forum Moderation Application

Have you been previously banned (be it a forum or server ban) and under what circumstances did you receive this ban?: Forum banned before(by choice,) Server banned multiple times by choice and the longest server ban I ever had was a month for pugsy. 

Have you ever received warning points and what actions were committed to receive such points?:  During May i got a few warning points for spamming and inappropriate behaviour as well as during the great salt/meme wars during the Coalition war(Nov 2016-Feb 2017), so most of them are for abusive behaviour or shitposting. 

Moderating the forums is a very time dependant staff position. How much time, on average, would you be able to dedicate to moderating?: 5-6 hours a day. 

What experience do you have using the LotC forums or any forum in general?: Been a GM before so i know how ips and things work on the forums as well as the hiding and removing posts feature. Also I was a moderator and forum moderator on other forums that i can disclose in pm. 

What does it mean to be a Forum Moderator, in your own words? What responsibilities does the Forum Moderator have to carry out  in order to successfully do their job?: A forum moderator's job is to protect the forums and to get rid of threads breaking the rules. Honestly, I'm fine with a bit of banter as long as it doesn't hurt the other person or isn't breaking the rules, but the forum moderator can not be too lenient, nor too strict aiming for a balance in between. To be a Forum Moderator is to be a 'janitor' of the front page of LOTC, what the world sees when they look for the server and the job of the FM is to keep it ***** and span. 

Have you ever held a staff position here on LotC? Do you currently hold any other staff positions? If so, list them and highlight something about the team that you enjoyed/enjoy.:

GM- Got to see how everything worked behind the scenes and interact with the community and the staff.

ET- Got to entertain the playerbase and running events and thinking of event lines was fun. 

WT- Currently on it and writing on the wiki is enjoyable and it annoys me to see the wiki out of date. 

Why should you be a Forum Moderator? What can you bring forward to the team that allows you to moderate and enforce the conduct of the forums?:

My attitude, I am very persistent, but lenient so I can tell the difference between if people deserve to be given a warning point or a light warning. I feel i'm quite good at distinguishing this and could bring that to the team. I'm also a team player and open to listening to input, especially on things im doing wrong. 
 

What characteristics do you posses that makes you stand out from any other applicant?:

Mostly, my timezone. I live inside an undermanned timezone and I believe that can help me to moderate things along my timezone. 

Are there members of the current Forum Moderation Team that you do not get along with or see a problem with working with in the future? If so, what is it that could hinder your ability to work together. Remember, this is a team and working together is the main foundation of a team.: no, i love everybody on the team.

How long do you plan to stay on the team?: As long as I am able to work productively.

If we do continue to just let anyone make their own nation though then please for the love of all that is good and holy do activity checks somehow on every nation. If they fail perhaps do an eventline to turn the place into ruins for a time before allowing people to try and obtain the land again later if they manage to get people and supplies.

 

Highly against freebuild myself because not only does that mean we'd have to watch out for people just randomly destroying another's work without rp behind it but also allows for people to get scattered all over the place. We'll end up with the same situation we have now of people just running off to a small corner of the map and everyone wondering where the rp is since nations are empty. 

I actually liked the system from Athera where we had certain areas that people could claim.
