  1. Albert BrusselsAlderman of Belvitz, reads the parchment he had received regarding the new party. He struggled to understand, but came to a conclusion with himself.

So, i’s all in favor of the Empire, an’ the Empire’s well-being, so long as you’s get power and elected into positions? Every single peasant in our Empire’s loyal t’it. T’ones that aren’t, well, Norland made t’example to show what happens. I see no point in this, rather than a blind chase for power... But ‘ey!

  2. A Speech

    -=-

A man, dressed in rather finely tailored clothes, a cloth stringed across his leather waistcoat depicting the colours of Adria, as well as another one wrapped around his waist, depicting the colours of House Rubens, made his way to the middle of the square, near the Bank and the Tax Office. He cleared his throat and called out.

“Hear, hear, fair people of Belvitzia and the fine Duchy of Adria! I, your Alderman elected as of the last Duma, and Judge of the Appellate, come with an announcement to make, and news to relieve the tense ears due to recent squabbles on the street.

It is more than clear that, unfortunately, our city is divided. Divided between people whom have an opinion, and those whom have other. People that think there is no saving this fair town, and people who are committed - like me - to the betterment and prosperity of fair Belvitz. The squabbles of people in positions should not interfere with the lives of you fair folk, yet it has. I come publicly to announce that; there is naught to worry, fair people. Naught at all. I come to publicly announce that I shall not allow the squabbles for power, the hunger for money and the blindness and naïveness of those who seek simply that will, in any way, jeopardize the state and well-being of the fair people.

And hence, I come with the relievement. Know, people of Belvitz, that those not committed to the prosperity, to the betterment of our fair city, and utmost, our fair Duchy, graced be the Duke, shan’t be allowed to jeopardize, in any way, those who seek it. I come publicly to denounce, but not by name, for those who find themselves guilty of having such positioning shall know. I come to denounce those who refuse do not actively work for the betterment of our fair city, and yet still hold titles and authorities. I come to denounce those that, even though lacking said privileges, do not atleast try to improve. I’m not speaking of the merchant, or the peasant, or the mason. I speak of those who are known. Those who - in lust for power and pure greed - seem to think that the prosperity of fair Adria is below their own needs.

Ignore me or heed my words. In the end, I merely represent those who wish for me to represent them. I come speaking as Albert Brussels, not Judge Albert, or Alderman Brussels. I come speaking as a fellow citizen, one who is subject to their squabbles for power and - dare I say - ignorant decision. I come with a plea, fair people, open your eyes. Choose wisely the ones that represent you. Choose wisely, for they are the ones who decide for you. They are the ones who speak for you…      That is all, fair people… That is all…”

The man nods to the few people that heeded time to his words, grimacing a bit and walking to his home, located in that same square, to his fiancée and the warmth of his firepit, a flag of Adria and Belvitz hung on a side of his door, a Imperial one on the other.

“Foolish as it is, you appeal to those of Canonist leanings within the walls-- but such a thing is the very reason we fight today. Haense breathed down our necks, raised laws that rallied for pagans to be burnt at the stake. Our people have long desired to be free of the yoke of those who would lash them to crosses and burn them alive. Or did you forget that law? The people did not.”

“I thought you would know better, my nephew. To appeal to the people like this, when the people are the one who brought this on...is foolish. I remember defending you and your friends when you were young, standing against all odds...and this is how my graciousness is repaid? With a calling for a denouncement of our leadership? Of me? Shame, young Shark. Shame.” Karyssmov murmurs as he reads over the paper, his eyes full of sorrow.

“Aren’t you the one who couped Sutica under a heresy such as clericism, then proceeded to seemingly lose power both ‘holy’ and political, even though, according to my studies, specifically on the clerical tenets presented publicly in the Library of Dragur, says that ‘thou shan’t interfere with mortal politics’ yet you took a nation to yourself and is now rebelling against another? You are a hypocrite with your own self, I wouldn’t expect an ‘Ettindom’, whatever the **** that is have good leadership when they are advised by filth like you.” Albert rambles.

“Mi libed too lung, did mi nub?”

The shaman questioned himself, sitting down at the floor of the forests surrounding the Dominion. They’d let him in, eventually, spoke to some Dominionites and killed some in other occasions. It was a fun life. A fun way of being. Though, in a way, it bored him. All the power, but none at all, at the same time.

    “I’z about tik tuh go…”

The thought of leaving… Dying? No. Just leaving. He had done it before. Left everyone and everything. Went to further augment himself in his powers… Lighten himself in the darken wisdom he had gotten, in all those years of sickening, corruptive power. Some orcs feared him. Certainly not Shamans. He didn’t fear them either. Didn’t make sense to fear them. He killed what they praised. The all-mighty spirits and their lessers. It was almost too easy at times.

“Mi’z nub goin’ tuh Ztargûzh’Ztroh, nub.. Da’z fuhr hunurable urukz… Lyke lat, hopefully.. Dun’t go lat’z popo’z way, hrm?”

His son… He had one. Spirits know who birthed the product of a Dark Shaman’s needs. Like his father before him, Nûrzum could only hope his son would not go the same way he did. More-so, he hoped he’d go the opposite.

    “Lûp’Ilzgûl, mi kub.”

He cackled, his voice echoing through the silent forest, to which the Shaman made sure was empty - atleast of hunters. He stood, having his staff for assistance as the son did nothing to help his crooked, old father. A mix of disgust and pity for the Orc. The Black Uruk took a final look at his creation. A creation that for the first time didn’t involve killing anyone, nor using his powers. Really, he was proud.

The forests never welcomed him well. He didn’t know if it was the might of the Aspects he always so proudly complained about, or simply a druid stalking him and making his life hell. One of the two. He started pacing off. Where to? Nowhere in particular. Away. From the world, he hoped.. Though, that’d mean death. He didn’t want to die. Atleast not now. But… It felt necessary. He didn’t really know why.

He never did, though. He never knew why things happened.

    Never.

And no one was to know what happened to him

[OOC: So,, Gothâr was fun to play. Atleast for a while. Dark Shamanism is cool, it’s a really good magic, and I reccomend anyone try it. Maybe wait a bit for the re-write. And, this sort of marks the beginning of me trying to reconcile with a community I have been part of in the past and want to be part of again. So.. Yea. What goes goes. Thanks for Lhindir and all the dark shamans for enduring my bs at times and all the people who endure me in a regular basis. o7]

How do you wish to work for the wiki?

Updating Lore. Exclusively that, to be honest. I write well and all but I frankly don't always have the patience to write my own pieces, but I love editing/adding/removing or anything needed to other pieces.

Have you worked on the Lord of the Craft Wiki, or any wiki before?

I've worked on my past company's wiki, which is now taken down by their Lead Programmer, who was a friend, so I unfortunately can't link it. It wasn't anything like LoTC's wiki and it was more like a Wix site than anything...

Which lore are you most familiar with?

Orcish and Human lore. A more specific lore would be Dark Shamanism (T5, no TA).

Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=The_Second_Generation_of_Dark_Shamanism

I’ll use the example of the Dark Shamanism for this. If we were in the second iteration, sure, it’d be amazing. And since the role I’m looking for is updating lore, this fits the perfect example of non-updated, alongside many others. While I know DS has had many re-writes, many denied re-writes, the current iteration would be the Third Gen, and the powers described in that page (i.e, Tricking a spirit) no longer exist or are simply defunct. The story related to each generation also need an updated related to the third generation, which needs to mention the three Ish’Urkal and their strive for power, affairs with Leyd and the third generation of Dark Shamans itself. Overall, the page is not badly written, but it needs updates.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Deity_Magic

I need to visit this page to direct myself to others, and while it isn’t a really descriptive page, it has to be up to date with Deity magics, their re-writes, amendments, fixes and whatnot. I has seen this page do just that. While the pages it links to can be maybe themselves not updated, the page that directs to them tries to be and is being successful. Consequentially, and logically, if the page leading to them is updated, so would be the pages themselves, but I think the Deity Magics page could be used as an example of constant updating, something that is needed in a community with so much people striving to write and create.

Please showcase your abilities with either A short writing on a subject of your choosing, or An example of an 'other' (Already completed wiki pages are a plus!)

Guess I’ll do a short writing on Dark Shamanism?

”One of the arts a Dark Shaman may be taught by his/her teacher is the art of summoning ghastly warriors. T’is one of the three main chains of current Buurz-Zhomoism (Dark Shamanism, Blah). The Dark Shaman can, using his Naakh, cast forth his mists and make them take form, and, dependant on the Shaman’s tier, summon a quantity of warriors. These warriors are very susceptible to physical attacks, even though they may appear armored, as their body as a whole is flesh and can be easily struck down. The art of Lutamancy can also greatly damage these spirit warriors, even more so than Holy Magic. Despite physical weaknesses, these warriors can prove very effective battling off, say, two opponents that seek to combat the Dark Shaman, considering Dark Shamans themselves aren’t very physically able. They can serve many purposes, like stalling enemies for the Dark Shaman to cast other disgraces at them, battle them, or even serve as distraction for an escape. The Tier requirements and capacities are as follows:

T1 – Atleast 4 emotes, requires a great deal of energy and probably exhausts the Shaman. 1 Warrior!
T2 – Atleast 4 emotes, requires a great deal of energy and probably exhausts the Shaman. 2 Warriors!
T3 – Atleast 3 emotes, requires a great deal of energy and probably leaves the Shaman tired. 4 Warriors.
T4 – Atleast 3 emotes, requires a medium amount of energy and doesn’t exhaust the Shaman much. 5 Warriors.
T5 – Atleast 3 emotes, requires a medium amount of energy and doesn’t tire the Shaman. 7 warriors.

OBSERVATION: Each extra warrior aside from the initial one you make in the first three emotes requires another emote describing the summon of the other warrior. I.e: Gothar summoned one warrior in 3 emotes, they attack and die, whilst that, he summons another one in another emote, and so on.

“Well then.” Lord Evar’tir commented as he read the report given to him by the scout. “Can’t say I’m surprised, per se.” He’d sigh, dismissing the scout, before heading to his office, starting to pen a letter.

The Annilir, Fëanor Sylvaeri paged through the documents handed to him, until the last page came into view. The elf read through in short, and remarks. ”That is not at all surprising. Unfortunate for Cyrene, though.

    ”Quite.”
Evar’tir frowned considerably beneath his helm. ”Though, I can’t say I’m surprised.”

”So. What is she to do, should the lands be overtaken?”

”A good question. I’ll ask her next time I see her. Though, I do need to issue this letter soon, however.”

”Very well. I’m back to Caras Eldar for now, a few things I ought to keep eye on.. and I’ve the Moot to mediate.”

    ”Aye. I’ll be there.”
The ‘Ker nodded, before the two armoured Mali’ headed back to Caras Eldar.

Confirmed  by Her Eminence, The Mortal Queen Renn Vaeloryïs. Scribed by His Lordship, Evar’tir Ithelanen of Canahedo, 15th of Malin’s Welcome, 1689.

Addressed to Jan Sigmar of the House of Alstreim,

LET IT BE KNOWN that The Government of the Dominion of Malin sees the foreign affairs of Sutica, and of the House of Alstreim, with the Free Company of Gladewynn under contract, and acknowledges that Sutica claims itself a neutral state several times in the past. In turn, the Dominion of Malin remains neutral in this conflict, as we have been.

ON THE SUBJECT OF ‘Unsanctioned Negotiations’ with the Dominion of Malin: The Crown was approached by the Trade Minister, seeking a Protectorate under the Dominion. This was quickly denied, under the reasonings that the Sutican lands are too far to effectively relay protection, nor did the diplomat offer anything beneficial to the Dominion of Malin as a whole. These talks, while short, by no means, were unsanctioned.
