It is with profound grief and a heavy heart, the House of Sarkozic hereby announces the lamentable passing of the esteemed Viscount of Pompourelia, Sir Franz Arthur Sarkozic. On this day, the 8th of Sun’s Smile, 65 B.A., he met an untimely demise under suspicious circumstances. The loss of such a prominent patriarch has cast a shadow over our House. 

The Viscount's life was intertwined with both joyous and challenging moments, shaping him into the individual he’s known as today. Born to the illustrious lineage of the Baron of Pompourelia, Joseph Clement Sarkozic, and Princess Catherine of Oren, he inherited great wealth and the prestigious Barony of Pompourelia at a tender age.

Despite the absence of family, two broken betrothals, and the fall of the Kingdom of Oren he found guidance through his Regent, Laurent Frederick Sarkozic, and led the House of Sarkozic to a distant land in search of stability. With a profound sense of duty towards the future, he ensured that not only the next generation, but those to come would bask in the serenity and boundless possibilities of enduring peace.

In the Kingdom of Balian he built his family a home on an island in the tropics, he contributed significantly as a successful Mercer, overseeing Balianese commerce. Furthermore, his talent as an Architect embellished Balian with captivating works, whilst as Minister of the Interior he managed the influx of the Balianese populace. 

Franz enjoyed a long and eventful life over the course of 70 years. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.

The Viscount of Pompourelia, Sir Franz Arthur Sarkozic invites friends and family to his beautiful, newly constructed estate in the Balian countryside to indulge in an arrangement of cakes ranging from tart, almond, custard, ginger, along with many others. The ingredients found within each cake are sourced from the richest soils, healthiest livestock, and finest orchards in all the realm. Sir Franz takes great pride in providing his guests with the most delectable and exquisite cakes, each made with utmost care and attention to detail.

Accompanied by the picturesque setting of the Balian countryside, the Viscount's cake extravaganza promises a truly memorable experience for all who attend, where friends and family can indulge in the finest flavors and bask in the joy of celebration.

Guests are encouraged to sample and savor the various cakes on offer, allowing their taste buds to embark on a journey of pure bliss. The tart cakes tantalize with their combination of tangy fruits and buttery crusts, while the almond cakes offer a nutty and indulgent experience. The Barony of Virdain is elated to announce the joyous arrival of a new member to the noble lineage of Ashford de Lewes.

 On the 9th of the Grand Harvest, 1929, we celebrate the birth of the Heir-Apparent, Henri Leufroy Sigismond Ashford de Lewes @sondher, born to Lord Fernand Auguste Renault Ashford de Lewes and Lady Amelia Paulina Ashford de Lewes nèe Varoche.

The newest scion of the Ashford de Lewes family, brings great delight and promises a bright future for the Barony of Virdain. As the Heir-Apparent, he is destined to carry forward the noble traditions and responsibilities of his esteemed lineage. Weighing 6 pounds and measuring 20 inches, Henri Leufroy entered the world with a spirited cry, capturing the hearts of his proud parents, relatives, and friends. He is a symbol of hope and continuity, embodying the legacy that the Barony of Virdain cherishes dearly. The birth of Henri Leufroy Ashford de Lewes brings immense happiness and renewed excitement to the family of Virdain.

MY BID FOR THE OFFICE OF THE LORD MAYOR

I am humbly pleased to announce my bid for the Lord Mayor's Office of Whitespire. I would like to thank my family, friends, and supporters for the encouragement. You have all placed a great deal of trust in me to deliver upon our vision for our city. I am starting my campaign by reaching out to you, reader, to ask for your endorsement, monetary support, and vote in the upcoming election. 

It is imperative that our newly established city of Whitespire elect a Lord Mayor that can serve with determination, vigor, but most importantly transparency. As a former Tavernkeep of The Savoyard in the city of New Vienne, I understood the significance of fostering a strong community, it was at The Savoyard that residents connected with each other. I would like to encourage that same connection felt there all over Whitespire by working with key leaders of our community.

Sir Franz finds a copy of the Aaunic Herald and carefully reads through, frowning upon finding the mention of his name. "I'm not sure the Adrians even know!" He responded followed by a scoff, thereafter beginning to write a letter to the author of the Herald.

Franz folds his Mother's last letter. "You shan't be forgotten, Mama." He whispered, holding back tears.

Sir Franz circles his name with a charcoal pencil and pins the missive to his bulletin with a grin plastered on his face.

EXORDUM;

The Ministry of the Interior is fundamental for the development and growth of our domain due to its obligation to maintain the architectural standard of the Crown holdings and any appropriated land for construction in the possession of Royal Peer or freely bought. Furthermore, the care of immigration is entrusted to the office as it must guarantee the continued influx of incomers. These two factors being one of the most vital affairs of any state, it is with such deliberation that the newly appointed Secretary Sarkozic envisions and promulgates the complete restructuring of the Interior in endeavor to maximize efficiency and steady prosperity for his countrymen. The aforesaid is to be done through the creation of distinctive positions with each being entitled to certain duties and service.

The Secretary is the representative of the Interiors exigencies on the Duana. They are entitled to the staffing of the Directories of Architecture and Immigration, and concurrently the assignment of undertakings and supervision of cohesion between the aforementioned offices.

The Deputy Secretary oversees the daily management in tandem with their superior, in times of absence or incapacity they are to step in and all of the powers and functions of the Secretary may be exercised.

THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF ARCHITECTURE;

The Director-General of Architecture is responsible for the management of the Department of Architecture and its staff. They are entrusted to evenly assign tasks amongst their Architects and Inspectors and compensate them upon their completion.

Making up the majority of the Department, Architects are the masterminds behind every project. Each is expected to complete work that represents the Balianese culture. They too must be skilled planners, tasks as grand as building a library and as simple as paving a road require thorough drafting.

Flaws are what make us human and, with that in mind, a Board of Inspectors will be required to overview each blueprint produced by an Architect. The Board will be made up of any number of members who show a clear understanding of Architecture. Each one will look for reliability, practicality, and the above-mentioned adequate representation of Balianese culture within each plan.

THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF IMMIGRATION;

The Director-General of Immigration is responsible for the management of the Department of Immigration and its staff. They are entrusted to evenly assign tasks amongst their Officers and compensate them upon their completion. 

OFFICERS

The Department of Immigration has a number of strategies used to attract people to the Kingdom of Balian. Typically, Officers are assigned to write letters of invitation to newcomers of the Realm that appear willing to migrate. It is then their job to settle newcomers, upon their eventual arrival to the realm, into their new homes.

The House Sarkozic announces the disappearance of yet another on this fatal day, the beloved daughter of the Viscount of Sapron, Milena Lorena Sarkozic. He and his family mourn along with the Adrian populace who have lost their Regent, along with the Varoche family who have lost their Patriarch and Heir Apparent, and along with the many allies who stand with both, the Adrian people, and the Varoche family. The Viscount too stands with the Adrians and asks that anyone with any information regarding his daughter's whereabouts disclose it to him. 

All that is known about Lady Milena’s sudden disappearance as of now is that she had left for the town of Velec in Adria on the twentieth of Sigismund's End. She intended on speaking with the Anathematized Heinrik de Sarkozy. A note was left on Milena's bed, it reads: 

"I apologize dearest Father, but I do not think I will be able to carry out what you have asked of me. I sincerely ask for your forgiveness in this matter. I will miss you, Father, and I ask of you to watch over my beloved Albert. I love you."
