The Wedding of Duke Godric I and Eleanor Helena Renai
Issued Winter of 1735 by Godric I
Bells toll cheerfully in the City of Montburgh, signaling the beginning of a day filled with celebration!
✦
The days leading up to the Duke’s wedding were ones lived at breakneck speed for all involved in preparations. The wondrous smells of the gifted Astrid Willow’s baked goods waft through the square, alongside the recognizable sear and sizzle of meats echoing from Bodin’s Butchery. Alongside them, the Palace Staff worked tirelessly, resetting the feast tables, dusting the banners, and stringing up new streamers and lanterns; No hands were left idle, for they had respected guests en route.
It is here we announce this wondrous occasion to our blessed guests. Those addressed are invited to spectate the union of Duke Godric I and Eleanor Helena Renai, followed by a luxurious feast to commemorate, and various other celebrations to match.
Below the invited parties may be found.

Morsgrad’s Palace9 -
[!] A finely penned letter would find it’s way by bird to the individuals, sealed with the red wax of the Duchy of Morsgrad.“The research & medical endeavors which are the focus of your group are intriguing to me - in Morsgrad, we have an uninhabited clinic ready for the taking; we should see fit on behalf of the Duke to offer this building to you to serve as an institution for your work. If this interests you, please contact me posthaste in writing, or in person within our great city.”
[!] Attatched is a map and directions to the Duchy of Morsgrad!
Take the main roads to Curon, and go towards Astorga at the split. Pass Astorga and continue following the road to Morsgrad. x1700, y-1700

Morsgrad Occupational Recruitment
Issued Fall of 1735 by Eleanor
INTRODUCTION
Our Gracious Duke has seen fit to revitalise the dwindling palace experience that has overwhelmingly encompassed said halls; in this capacity he does look to seek out the appointment of numerous palace staff. It is within the hopes that the staff shall populate the palace, bringing life and warmth to its halls and serve the Dukedom and it’s ruling family and their guests with fervour.
In addition, the Alderwoman of Montburgh, Eleanor Helena Renai, is opening another category of occupations. In an effort to bring life to unsold storefronts and to our waiting farmland, she is summoning all merchants and artisans looking for a place to practice their craft, and all laborers looking for housing and a plot of land to harvest their favored crop or stock.
We urge anyone and everyone looking for a career, livelihood, or simply a fresh start to apply within a letter using the form below, or by finding the Alderwoman within the city of Montburgh.

Lastly, our Duke still seeks to fill several government positions within the Duchy, including the roles of Treasurer and Banker. The Alderwoman is seeking two additional capable applicants to fill steward roles within the city.
All shop owners are guaranteed an accompanying home free of additional charge for as long as they are in ownership of their shop, and positions under the Government of Morsgrad are paid a yearly salary and are guaranteed housing as well.
Palace Staff
With the reconstruction of the Duke’s palace, he wishes to maintain and active workforce that will loyally serve his family, the Council, and all respected and honored guests. He is seeking positions such as, but not limited to, Ladies in Waiting, Handmaids and Servants, Chefs and Butlers, Stable-boys, etcetera.
All palace staff will receive yearly salary for their work, and bonuses, when earned, granted by the Duke and his family, or the Council. They shall all receive accommodation within the palace or a home somewhere else within the city. Additional opportunities to succeed shall always be offered to those staffed within the palace, including monetary bonuses and rise in rank.

A Missive from the Duke
Issued Winter 1735
The unblooded man is always he who thirsts most for blood. Once more we stand on the precipice of disaster. Once more we, leaders of the mortal realms commit untold thousands to die. The sky is filled with the missives of war, promises of bloodshed and conquest, threats and boasts. Their senders, unblooded, untested in war. Yet assured of their victory and dominance in the arts of war. The fae eldar. Savages to a one. So primitive they still lay amongst the beasts, cloth themselves in rough fur and leaves. So craven they burn their own homes rather than face their foe. The Fenn, a race with the unmatched record for most losses in war, not to mention their proclivity for sexual degeneracy.
My own nation is one of the few who have known war. Known her harsh humours as one comes to know the humours of a lover. Endless days spent sleeping under a foreign sky, dreaming dreams of men about to die, screaming in fear as their fate unmanned them. Witnessed the tides of blood flowing from the gates and walls of Helena after that most brutal of sieges. We, children of Morsgrad have known war more than any who know beat their chest as apes. We Morsen, of both Renatian and Nordish descent fled the Heartlands to avoid further war. As a boy I watched the corpses of my uncles, my fathers, my brothers, my friends all pass me by. Each carried to the pyre upon their shield. The Great war bled my people dry. Yet you are all so eagre to run headfirst into the butchers maw. Not knowing what lurks beyond.
The savage elves killed an Orenian envoy in cold blood. I have no knowledge of affection for the man. But by my oaths I am obliged to once more send my precious citizenry to war, as my forebears have done so many times before. For this, most grievous of crimes. There shall be no forgiveness. There shall be no peace, no surrender, should the lands of man lie destitute. The last imperial dead on the field. Then I welcome the savages to come and die on the cliffs. Your cities will burn as they have burned before. I shall put your filthy people to the sword. I shall salt your fields, fell your trees. Only when death finally takes you will you know peace.
Before us lies only victory. The nation of war marches.
To those seeking refuge from war. Seeking peace in times of chaos. Who fear for their lives, for their security. To you I open my gates. Within Morsgrad you shall find shelter, food, and warm clothing. My soldiers. Greatest in the world shall protect you. And within my walls you shall come to no harm. I am a peaceful man forced to war, but where we may. Let us preserve peace, and the sanctity of life. May the lord have mercy on us all.

The Morsen Mark Act of 1735
Issued Spring of 1735 by Godric of Morsgrad
The necessity of the Mark in ensuring the economic health of the nation can be underestimated. As its use has allowed us to control our own finances. Enabling us to issue salary to our soldiers and agents of the state. A practice other nations have largely been unable to practice due to the spurious nature of mina income. To such a degree I must assert my sovereign authority of Duke of this State to preserve the prosperity of the Morsen people dwelling within my demesne.
To formalize existing convention, the employment of the global ‘Mina’ as a medium of exchange is forbidden within the confines of Morsgrad in all cases. Its employment by foreigners or domestic merchants or private actors is outlawed. It is expected that all exchange, finance and taxation be conducted in the medium of the Morsen Mark, older Nordish Marks minted prior to 1735 will also be accepted.

3rd of the Snow’s Maiden, 1734
Scribed by Eleanor Helena Renai
The sudden demise of the Edvard II has left the people of Morsgrad in a state of shock and despair, all longing to see their friend, father, and Earl one last time. ✥
"Father, we free your son Edvard from his tainted flesh. That he may be judged by you and taken into your halls."

Theodosia Tiber sits comfortably within her refurbished tea shop, behind the grand desk on the third floor. Curled up in her favourite chair, she reads over her nephew’s missive, eyes sparkling with pride as her lips tugged into a smile filled with an almost motherly warmth. “He is so much smarter than many Statesmen of current could ever even dream to be.” The woman then moves to delicately set it down on the desk, in a pile of the young Tiber’s previous works and drafts, keepsakes and reminders of his growth and intelligence. “The boy will do so well in this world.”

✣ Morsgrad Occupational Recruitment ✣
in Kingdom of Norland

Eleanor notes that the taxes have been halved in a vote to reverse the estate’s original decision to raise them and that the Willow’s were still happily housed and employed within the City of Montburgh. She wonders how those who have outcasted themselves could make such ridiculous statements and assumptions on the happenings of Morsgrad, when they are no longer involved or all too knowledgeable on the day-to-day due to their business in their ‘new nation.’
