The Constable Varelden Vasquez sits in his office at the bottom of the keep, silently writing and signing documents. He awaits the arrival of new recruits.

Varelden stands silently atop one of the Keep’s towers. He watches the sky slowly turn from a dark blue to a golden yellow as the wind brushes through his hair, and awaits the first light. “May House Harkness live to see this view every morning for eternity.”
