  1. Very nice video as always - a shame that this doesn’t accurately reflect the actual quality of gameplay that people are sharing elsewhere and will probably lead them to be disappointed if people experience it for the first time. LOTC tech & gameplay is incredibly far behind the quality of your content at the moment.

Cinematic 4k video of people getting stuck in unloaded chunks when?

  2. Very good quality Treshure & I’m so glad that you took my advice on how to up render quality, this is incredibly well done and is a perfect example of the kind of content that LOTC should be paying for with donations.

It’s deffo a ‘perfect world’ or ‘how it should be’ explanation, but I don’t think that’s necessarily the worst thing. I think that it’s important this content is out there to remind people (mainly staff) of what LOTC should be and not what it can be if they stop trying to change things constantly to ‘their vision’ for the server prior to quitting and cycling in new staff with their own vision. Also obviously very good recruitment material, even if it isn’t the current reality of the server.

Said it to you once and I’ll say it again - LOTC are more than lucky to have you doing work for free, especially considering this video will be milked the **** out of long after you eventually leave.

i cant even take this seriously dude, staff is by volunteering. Oren having a lot of players that are volunteering to do free work for the server isn't inequality, unless by inequality you mean doing an excess share of the work compared to % of the overall playerbase.

Being staff isn't all fun and games, it can be a pain. This is an insane argument. Get more people outside of the humans and elves to join staff and contribute if you think this is inequality. Nobody is going to complain about more help.

Grossly disingenuous to pretend that there haven’t been coordinated efforts to get groups of players into positions of power before - and that’s not exclusive to Oren. Also disingenuous to pretend that any staff work is simply just about volunteering as if they snap you up to join for putting your hand up without considering your affiliations.

Not an insane argument to make, regardless of if it’s actually true or not in this instance, and an imbalance of staff from communities 100% matters considering staff take votes on certain actions (or at least used to).

  4. LOTC used to be worth playing for the epic moments between the really boring & mundane bits, which was the majority. Between 1.9 PVP, no wars (Wars would be **** anyway even if they were currently in w/ the current PVP) & Vortex - there's even less reasons to play than there already was bc the gameplay just isn't enjoyable anymore unless you only play for slice of life RP. I like to check in every once-in-a-while on the forums to see if anything has changed, but of course posts like this fall on deaf ears & remain without a response from any sort of server representative because they have their own vision of what the server should look like and don't care for the other 2/3 of the server who disagree.

    Road to 500, lol.

  6. n this in itself is why pvp & mechanic balancing around characters is important / a great detriment if (when) not handled properly by staff - the great equaliser & makes things fair for all parties involved since you can treat your enemy like an enemy as opposed to having to pretend to be friendly just so u don't get mugged off for 2 hrs in crp

  7. keep repeating the process of:

    - ah i feel like doing a bit of rp today on new map

    - let’s see how lotc is

    - oh i forgot it has this vortex ****, let’s look at the guides to see how much effort it will be

    - no thanks

this is a daily occurrence. LOTC stands to gain a lot less new players from vortex with it’s current foundational aspects & only is positioned to further lose alienated players that are told constantly on genuine feedback threads (which are all ignored by staff as per) that the plugin & system is quite frankly **** across the board just because it’s ‘in its infancy’ by staff knob slobbers who typically have played for a handful of months in what is a dire state of the server n have no clue what they’re on about. hope you’ve got your boar-hide walking shoes @Telanirbecause ur road to 500 is gonna be a long one.

All you people talk about is grinding yet I distinctly remember people leaving RP scenarios for MONTHS at a time to grind nexus professions.

Currently you can reach the tech cap of tin within 1 hour if you didnt even try. Even with the lack of a decent guide that I read from the book when logged into the map for the first time.

Please come up with a better argument than the "grind" statement because all you guys praised nexus as some god plugin compared to vortex yet nexus had to of been the worst thing to happen to LotC in a long time. Not to **** on telanir and his plugin because he spent a lot of time making it and refining it but it took so much away from RP and added very little in return. It forced people to sit at crafting benches for multiple HOURS at a time. Werent high enough level? That craft took 12 hours. Want to make a potion? Oh those take 24 hours to craft just 1 potion. People were logging on to craft and logging off to go do something else. Didnt play for a week? All your food is now rotten unless you level up skill X, Y, and Z and create a food storage chest to help "prolong" the life of the food. So you had to grind even more professions. Because the chest wasnt even craftable at a base level.

Nice try, but, vortex isnt grindy at all. Please come up with a better argument than that.

Also the comment that 1.9 pvp favors PVP goons over 1.8 pvp is the most hilarious thing I have read in a good 2+ years on this forum. In no way does any PVP goon prefer 1.9 PVP. Literally none. They were asked about this in axios and questioned and the community was polled on it. No one wanted 1.9 PVP. It sucks. For everyone. Especially PVP goons.

tfw u just wrote an essay on stuff that I didn’t even say (that 1.9 favours pvp goons over 1.8, that they prefer it, or that I’d rather have nexus). enjoy ur shadow boxing?

Gotta disagree here, veteran PVP goons have been severely crippled by this in my opinion. No longer will how fast you can click your mouse button matter and in my opinion (minus having the different items with different stats/effects etc) the new PvP system in fact lowers the learning curve by a **** ton. It isn't easy to train your finger to be able to mash 11-12 clicks out a second to keep up with those who are excellent at PVP (Milen, TrendE, etc.. you know who you are) which is why you'll see them begging for the old system to come back.

at least with iron kit rpers could contend on a level playing field at a gear level, and if they died then it wasn’t that deep. iron kit pvp is in the best interest of RPers, as it is honestly hard to pvp in for outnumbers even when you’re a pvper because of how squishy it is & how easy it is to die if you even remotely mess up.

now think about the grind to get to that stronger gear - and how pvp is about more than just clicking fast. now instead of dying with iron, you die with gear that gives your opponent the advantage for future fights; which is because of the same reason you lost in old iron kit, because you aren’t a pvper.

this system creates momentum for those that win fights; because they accumulate gear whilst draining their opponent over time which is significantly harder to gain than iron. this sounds good and all (and is the type of 3D realism system that ppl jerk off to constantly on lotc) , but like I said - the pvpers will always win, because it’s not just about clicking fast. all you have to look at to see that this is true is all of the autoclicking ***** that still lost anyway when playing in a system at least accounted for click speed.

  10. Quote

fix the issues the server is currently facing

    1.) revert to old pvp
    2.) remove vortex
3.) revert war rules to old ones
4.) sort out a fkin war server
5.) stop trying to fix what isn't broken bc there's still plenty of stuff that is broken n still ain't been fixed since i last played short of a year ago

  11. Risky Ralph laughs as he screamsThat face when you have no new allies, and so few victories, that you are forced to release propaganda declaring that your Capital supports the Empire due to lack of potential content”. He then shows a few of his friends a funny drawing prior to preparing for the upcoming war crimes that he looks forward to committing.

  13. got my own opinions on how well i think you did as a GM (surprise surprise) but it’s the thought that counts ig, u did try ur hardest but the task isn’t a one-man job.

hope you have a good x months off – enjoy yourself!

“That’d be foolish of me to accept such an offer as you used to be a mercenary known for his fighting. Nothing is exciting in a duel I prefer fighting in battles and sieges, not duels that only determine who is better in single combat.”

(( I don't do pk duels, lol. You should know this TrendE. Big sighs all around.

“You are a child pretending to be a Knight; evident in both your physical, and mental, appearance.” Owyn Alexander Renai laughs in response before returning to the cold settlement of Morsgrad.

(( Why would I know that lol – sums up this war though, really.

Ser Robert Vyronov watches on the city walls of Reza as the A.I.S retreated back to Rubern upon suffering more casualties compared to Oren. “We may have lost a few good men and women of the Empire but these AIS people lost a lot of men trying to attack us this day. These AIS people think charging out when you’re outnumbered two to one will make you win... but it’s patience that wins wars. Today has been a victory for the Empire soon these warmongers of Morsgrad will be purged”

Owyn Alexander Renai sends a simple note to the ‘Ser’: an offer of a duel to the death to prove that their rumoured advantage of quality is not real.

As per, he expects to hear nothing back – as he realised long ago that his enemies were all talk many years ago.

    (( PK duel lol

  16. Once again, I ask the question of who exactly this ban is in the best interest of?

Bans should always be used to protect communities/players from others once they’ve explicitly broken rules – though I am unsure of who this ban really protects.

All that the LOTC Administration is doing here is making it very clear that those who play for extended periods of time and continually work to improve LOTC through supporting its newly joining players will not have their situations and contributions taken into account when they prove to be too much to handle.

Stay tuned for Saturday. We won’t forget this, and we’ll hold feet to the fire for as long as it takes to fix this goofy ****.

EDIT: Also, I know who the people who’ve celebrated Narthok’s ban are. I meant what I said on his farewell post.
