Alyndel tossed the notice to the side, not bothering to give it any further thought. Ramblings of an ignorant fool, as he had heard many times before. He could not afford to think it over too much, there was a lot of work to be done.

It's quite sad to see the current state of the team, what is more concerning is the fact there are no new members being taken in. App burnout happens, and I hope Telanir will realize that because if what is currently ongoing keeps happening the team will be empty by the end of next month.

Good job on the few that are dragging the team along, though. Hope things get fixed in the near future, a shame to see things are like this.

A constructive and well written thread. I was not opposed to Vortex from the start and always gave it the chances it deserved. I still do, but I think staff need to start making their choices. Lotc's player count is now down to late Arcas numbers on most days, when during launch week we peaked at 200+ quite often. It's quite sad to see but the only reason for this is Vortex. I myself among others have had to sit through the nightmare of building a settlement. I know staff have added nodes and increased resource amounts, but this was not the case when we first started. It still is dreadful now, even after the improvements. Having to wait two hours for a stack and a half of Terracotta is stupid.

The majority of players want Vortex gone, and it feels like nobody is listening. I am certain that if staff were more open to discussion and suggsetions in regards to Vortex the community would not be as upset as it is now. I sincerely believe Vortex had, and still has potential but the implementation has to change. It's not a professions system, as there are no professions. It's a custom crafting plugin implemented without much feedback from the community. Many people have found it odd that certain testers are the only people with info, and perhaps it is a coincidence but most believe it not to be one, but these testers are from the dev's main nation. Am I accusing someone of bias? No. That does not mean that it should be ruled out though and that players aren't allowed to ask questions.

So yeah, vortex in its current state is just not a good plugin and lotc is bleeding members because of it. Lost Fables and Fantasy Roleplay are laughing at LOTC staff right now even though it was the other way round for a good while. I don't blame them, it's just not good.

-1, I agree with the above statements. I don't feel like prof could be an unbiased staff member and his general attitude towards certain players over subjects as vortex has not been that pleasant. As mentioned above, condescending and rude, these are not traits a member of any staff team should have. Start by being respectful to people who disagree with your opinions on something as simple as a plugin and then I might be willing to reconsider this.
