Only request I’d make is maybe a short tutorial on the /edit commands? As newer player, I’ve had a lot of questions about it and how it works.

Hey! So recently we started releasing small how-to tutorial videos. One about edit commands and tokens is in the works. ♥

  2. Would stand up from his seat on the tribune looking around the public while he cleared his throat and started to speak

”Dear Children of Silver, I had decided not to interfere in this debate, however as divkinael I feel it as my duty to back up the words of Alluin. What is being discussed by the officers is not visible or hearable for the citizen. We are currently sorting out Kaelan his plans and work on most of them. And so I can confirm his activity and dedication.”

He would walk some further to the middle of the room, looking each candidate over

”I do want to make clear that I am not speaking out my specific preference for Alluin. As a former okarir’tir and decades of being eldivkinael, I can speak out my preference for one thing. Of an okarir’tir I expect them to have served into elsillumiran recently for at least a decade as divkinael. This requirement only speaks for two of the candidates, Storm Elibar’acal and Alluin Seregon. Their experience is what we need at this time. So I do speak out my preference for any of those two veterans. And I would be happy to resume my duties within the forces under the command of one of those individuals.”

Elahern would walk back to his seat

    ”That's all, thank you”

    Introduction

Protectors of the state, defenders of purity - these are the brave souls that have willingly devoted and given their lives to the prosperity and health of the Silver City. For centuries the Sillumir have been called upon to defend the Republic and give their lives if needed. Through rigorous training and adapting, the Sillumir have truly become something to admire, for their strength  and the keenness of their minds knows no bounds.

In the modern era and with the reformation of the Republic, the Sillumir must once again maintain anonymity whilst on duty, each Sillumir forming a strong camaraderie with one another to ensure that their tasks are completed efficiently and quickly.

Typically, the duties of a Sillumir vary depending on their ranking and position, though each Sillumir is expected to carry out gate duties, investigations and most importantly, defending their state against external threats.

    Command Structure

    Halerir

The Halerir are recruits of the Sillumiran, being the newest members among its ranks. All accepted applicants are automatically given the rank of Halerir. Members of this unit are considered unproven and therefore have no real authority. As a result, those who are in the Halerir are expected to attend training and rallies in order to prove their devotion and to become full-fledged Sillumir.

    Sillumiran

The Sillumiran are the primary force, the fully-fledged soldiers of Haelun’or. After proving oneself by attending training and rallies, the Halerir becomes a Sillumir, and is thus seen as a complete member of the force. Along with the new rank comes new responsibilities; Sillumir are expected to regularly attend trainings, patrols, and rallies, to be considered active. Failure to be active as a Sillumir will result in demotion or removal. The Sillumir are responsible for all of the defensive measures of the state, which include patrolling, peacekeeping, manning the gate, rallying, and military duties. They also act as the police force of Haelun’or, enforcing laws, and apprehending those found to have broken the law.

    Tahorren

The Tahorren make up a small percentage of the Sillumiran, standing as a ‘corporal’ of such for Sillumiran to look to in the event the Divkinaelan are not present. The Tahorren is expected to muster and supply the Sillumiran, as well as provide guidance and support for them. They are expected to support the Divkinaelan with their tasks, interrogating prisoners and questioning citizenry on certain crimes which have taken place.

    Divkinaelan

Eldivkinaelan are our blessed officers, those to command the defenders of Silver. They are tasked with the recruitment and training of new Haleriran, the organisation and hosting of various further training and patrols, ensuring the wellbeing of all Sillumiran, keeping watch over the Silver Gates, assisting in updating policies, handling arrests and reports, as well as several other tasks. They assist the okarir’tir in many of their duties; the one selected as Tilruir’sil being the Okarir’tir’s direct second-in-command, serving as general of the armies. Regardless of their class, a Divkinael’s orders are expected to be followed at all times.

    Tilruir’sil

The Tilruir’sil is the servant of the Sillumir, obligingly beside the Okarir’tir to facilitate the growth and management of the ranks. The Tilruir’sil will lead alongside or in the absence of the Okarir’tir, ensuring the Sillumir are properly guarded and engaged with their duties. The Tilruir’sil may lead training or patrols autonomously from the Okarir’tir but cannot undermine the authority of the Okarir’tir.

    Okarir’tir

The Okarir’tir manages the judiciary and military functions of the Silver State and are expected to advise the Sohaer and the Heial’thilln on matters of new and existing criminal law. The Okarir’tir presides over the Sillumiran and is responsible for the punishment of those convicted in criminal trials.

    Units

    The ‘Mahnih'ala’ Unit

The police force of Haelun’or, the Mahnih’ala Unit usually has the easiest of tasks – keeping the peace, patrolling the streets and manning the gates. Most new individuals to the order flock naturally to the Mahnih’ala unit, as it allows them to remain closer to their families and leaves them predominately out of harm's way. They are responsible for the policing and investigations which occur within the state.

    The ‘Evar’hileia’ Unit

Members of the Evar’hileia unit act as scout regiment, often working beyond the city gates to conduct their duties. Their tasks often involve tracking down beasts and finding out the whereabouts of criminals of the state, but also most importantly technology which can benefit Haelun’or. During times of war they typically make up the vanguard and are usually populated by non’thill.

    The ‘Walehir’ Unit

Those in the Walehir ensure their comrades are healthy, performing regular check-ups, providing necessary foods and work alongside each unit and the clinic to treat any injured Diraaran. Members of the Walehir unit are certified clinicians of the state, and make up the smallest proportion of the Sillumir.

    The ‘ARC’ Unit

Typically consisting entirely of first and second class Sillumir, an ARC trooper is an individual that expresses free thinking, often able to assess a situation and rise to the task, the common quote amongst the ‘thill is this: ‘When the Sillumir are in trouble, they call in the Tilruir’tir. When the Tilruir’tir is in trouble they call in the ARC troopers’ Most ARC troopers have extensive combat experience, operating on strict confidentiality.

Elahern would await till mister Sythaerin was finished, then he would stood up, looked at Silvos and started his reaction speech.

You state that it would be more work for little benefit. If we assume this as true, then I believe we should put our effort into it. Because any form of progress is morely appriciated and good. The workload should not be a concern in this, all that matters is the results. If we can turn this into little benefit, then I would go for it. The Aeth’sulier would take a brief pause, using the moment for a quiq scan around the room. Then back to my points, I said that security is a major issue. And so it is, however Mister Sythaerin does not seem to get my full point, so I will explain it some more.

For the Eternal Library I want to impove security measures by a much stricter controlling of keys. Only allowing the worthy ones in, and keep the lessers out. Impures never where even considered in, as they also would not be considered inside our blessed Bastillion. So I am uncertain why you brought those up.

For the Eternal College I plan to use high quality books to teach our citizens, college on a high educational level. In this classes non-citizens are not tolerated.

For the Campus I plan to use the former Kharajyr lands for educational purposes. Which include the housing and schooling of non-citizens before entering the Silver State. They would be obligated to spend a certain amount of time at this Campus, learning abour our culture, language and standards before entering society. The books they use I will select from the Eternal library,  however the information of those books will be a bit more simple then what our citizens recieve as education.

Then finally on your point of the entire city being our campus, ti you might be right in that. However not for non-citizens. And so those will be placed in the Campus outside the city, studying our culture before gaining access to the city. My plan of constructing this campus is a rather big ambitious project I must admit. However it will bring great benefit to our blessed bastillion, spreading name across the realm even more. Our diplomacy with for example Heanse can go up, by educating their citizens on our culture. Our city will not only be famous by our Eternal Library, but also because of our major educational institutions. And above all we will not face uneducated lessers in our walls again. All beings being in our walls, firstly studied our laws and culture before gaining entry. Which will also be beneficial to elsillumiran. As gate policies could be to enroll in this campus. As I must state, this is a hudge project, falling under almost all councillors. And so I will discuss the matter with the other councilors, when they have been elected.

After his speech the elf would sit back once more. Seemingly statisfied with his reply.

  8. Elahern Aeth’sulier would rise up from his seat
“For me there is no doubts in this election, the most caring and capable candidate has presented herself. She deserves Sohaership and shall lead the council well while our journy continues.” The Aeth’sulier would make a last approving nod towards the Uradir.

  9.                                            image.thumb.png.8b86b625848044d51227844deae6195f.png
Would stand up, with a too-loud cough to draw the attention turning has gaze towards Mister Sythaerin

I know you would be more than capable of holding the laboratories, as you have proven already. But overseeing a bigger amount of our institutions will be needing a lot more effort, time, and above all an excellent health. If you say your trip has done you good, so I will believe, however, we can not assure this will not happen again, maybe even worse then it has been now. Running the entirety of our knowledgable institutions will be a heavy burden to carry. You are a very capable person, however, your age and health do not cooperate. I would advise you to go for tilruir, also a very honourable job. If I will be elected I will gratefully offer you such job. In such case, you can take time off now and then, what wouldn't be possible as okarir’maehr.

The elf would take a brief pause, using the time to drink some beet juice. Then he would take another step forward looking over the citizen who came to see the debate.

Of course, I also have my ideas for the various institutions falling under the position of oakrir’maehr. Firstly I see security as a major issue. And so I will be more strict on foreign visitors. For the Eternal college, I have big plans, together with the okarir’hiylun I will seek to use the piece of kharajyr to build an actual campus. Buildings for students to work and live. Books and teaching materials carefully selected of the Eternal Library used to educate the people. This campus will be accessible by not only Haelun’orians but also of others that show interest. This institution can be used to also educate outsiders before they integrate into our society they spend a certain time on campus.

  10.                                                                                    CN1ETV1.png

Elahern Aeth’sulier would step forward nominating himself

”I would like to nominate myself for this position.” he paused a bit “I know this might be unexpected to hear from me. However I have served this city for many years and it was time for another okarir’tir. I have faith in my successor on that. So I decided to focuss more on the precious knowledge of us Mali’thill. I have spended hours and hours in the Eternal library and attended several classes in the Eternal college. I am well skilled with  paperwork so this will be good for me. I am bursting of ideas to proper educate all citizens. This includes things as knowledge battles, educating citizens towards proper jobs, and most importantly securing our knowledge. The Eternal library is even seen as a holy place by some, and so must be protected till the end. What happened last time with the stolen books shall not happen again. I have served as okarir’tir before and so have experience on security, this knowledge I will use in my job as okarir’maehr.

After this Elahern would stepped back again awaiting for a opponent to step forward.

  11.                                                                          CN1ETV1.png
Elahern would stand up to the Maheral
”In all respect Elmaheral, however we recently had a citizenship purge in which those who did not responded in time have been scrapped of the ledger assuming death. Kaelan did not responded in time, and so he has no right on citizenship. I do not want to undermine your authority, however in a democracy we cant favorise people. Rules are rules.” the elf stated

  12.                                          CN1ETV1.png
Then Elaher realised something he read and so he immidiatly stood up
”I must interupt this debate” the elf said while grabbing some really thick books filled with documents “The candidacy of Kaelan is unjustified. The contitution states one must be a citizen to be able to run in elections. And so I have checked the citizen documents and Mister Kaelan is no citizen. And so has no right to be electable.” the elf would state.

  13.                                                                             CN1ETV1.png

As Elahern heared this speech he stepped forward
”Ker’ayla, I would like to speak out my support for Dele. She is experienced and activly involved in our community. I had the privledge to watch her work on the orphange, doing steward task and working whitin the clinic. Which she all did with the best of her abilities whitout giving up. She defenitely should get this position now.” The elf would state, getting back to his seat afterwards to slowly take back his place while claping his hands.

  14.                                     CN1ETV1.png

Elahern would clap after the speech of Alluin
”If I may add something to that I must also say that Alluin and I have worked closely together on the Sillumiran. And so he knows my plans and knows Elsillumiran inside out. I would see him becoming okarir’tir rather than someone who wasn't even part of the sillumir in the last decades.”

After that Elahern took a brief pause before shifting his gaze towards Kaelan.
“I have something to say on your words if I may? You stated that you lead Haelun’or through prior wars as a good thing, however, I do not see it that way. The way I see it is that the purpose of Elsillumiran is to avoid wars, and not spill any unneeded blood. And to add on that I do not feel another reconstruction of the Sillumiran would be beneficial at this time. The last one costs us many members and another one will mean our end. As I stated before, I do not feel someone who probably doesn't even know our current ranks or state of business should get to be okarir’tir. Chaos leads to downfalls and uprisings, although some things are too fragile to reconstruct. Each and every sillumir has their emotions and capabilities, and Alluin knows them all, he has a connection with them. I have nothing against you Kaelan, however, I just see Alluin as a better fit.

  15.                                           CN1ETV1.png

Elahern stepped forward in response to the speach

“I would like to nominate Alluin Miravaris for this position as I believe he would be a excelent candidate. He has served well many years as Divkinael and I believe in his capabilities for okarir’tir.”

Experience isn’t really a factor. The concern at hand that ‘good’ CRP is something incredibly subjective that it might not be entirely appropriate to enforce one person’s ideals of what is or isn’t good, so that’s not particularly convincing that the ‘right things will be taught’ because the ‘right thing’ is not really something that can be defined easily, which is why a proper definition, goal, and plans to reach that goal is something critics of this want to see.

As GgDionne also stated, we teach the ‘correct’ rules as they are in our server rules. Indeed ‘good’ is completely subjective, but that is why we have multiple staff members present at the sessions. So if you feel like our standards are not ‘good’ enough, then feel free to help with the sessions yourself.

Would it be possible to get recordings of the sessions?

Unfortunatly recording would cause too many complications, however you can request a one on one session with any of our Pots and Pandits members. In our team we have quite the timezones, so I am sure we can work something out ❤️

  18. 8 hours ago, ScreamingDingo said:

What’s the criteria of someone being able to  help teach CRP? I feel like this can be abused and will eventually lead to people being taught incorrect things or instead utilising unfavorable tactics taught at these sessions. What are your checks and balances and what is the ‘golden standard’ the CT wishes to provide.

I have participated in pots and pandits myself back when I was a new player, the main thing of the whole project will be, as stated under purpose in this post,  to prevent powergaming issues. The CT members working on this have plenty of CRP experience themselves and so the correct things will be taught. For each session we are also taking volunteers to assist us, this can be anyone from Moderation, Story, etc. Just any staff member experienced with CRP.  However we do not want to script out entire lessons as such trainings work better when it is just action-reaction on the location itself and not just following some script. Then to add on that, Pots and pandits is made a focuss group inside the community team, and so activly runned by interested and capable CT.

    6 hours ago, Strife said:

Why is the CT teaching players how to CRP? Isn’t that more of an ET thing?

The CT is teaching the CRP to players, because we expect the majority of the participants to be new players, and CT is handling all new player related matters. And we are the team for the Community, so we teach CRP to those interested.
