  1. Hi friends! I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to ask this so please forgive me if it's not-- I started rping here about 3 years ago and didn't really gain much traction in my roleplay since I was a bit afraid to initiate, and the character I made honestly just didn't click with me. I'm thinking of coming back for a bit, and I was wondering if anyone might have an answer to a couple questions of mine :) A bit of background-- my starting OC is/was a dark elf with no actual in game profession, only a backstory and a few small interactions here and there, and I'm currently just chilling at spawn until I can figure out how to jump back into the world for rp. I've revisited the tutorial island a couple of times and I'm reading up on the cultures/nations that are active now so I can integrate myself back into rp as naturally as possible, but I thought I'd ask these questions in case anyone has insight. 1. The character I started with has no connections to any others who are still active/alive, as far as I know, and I didn't have any kind of explanation for her disappearance prepared since I hadn't planned to take such a long break-- life just got busier than anticipated, so I'm not sure where I even left off with her or how I can contextualize her in Aevos. Even when I was active, she was a quieter character who didn't do very much, so she didn't have much impact. Would it be ok to just have her die or wander off "off screen"? I was only really rping her for a few months and very sporadically, so I remember next to nothing about her personality in practice, only that she was a boring character. Lol. 2. Technically speaking, is there a way to wipe my current persona in-game? (Without creating more work for any of the staff, hopefully!) If not, how do people typically handle recycling a character that's died to make room for a new one? 2a. Silly question-- how do you swap between existing personas these days? 3. Is there an Aevos equivalent to Sutica? I have a second persona (human) I'd hoped to start rping with back when Sutica was a thing (as a sailor/merchant/something along those lines), but I never actually developed their backstory or placed them into the world. I'd still be interested in playing this kind of character if there's a place or need for it. 4. Along similar lines, are there any merchant or maritime organizations with this kind of roleplay happening already? 5. Is there anything else I'm missing or forgetting to ask after a long break? Is there anything else I should read up on that'll point me in the direction toward answers for these other questions? 6. The temptation to make a halfling is so strong. I am so tempted it's not even funny. I'm in the discord and I have a potential skin. Are there any halfling storylines running right now that need an extra player because I would be SO down o.o Thank you so much for reading this far! If anyone's come back after a long break and has tips for how to return to rp in general, I would be so grateful. Hope everyone's doing well :)
  2. hey so i'm super late to this post but are you guys still looking for halflings in bramblebury by any chance? i'm looking to replace my dark elf oc and i always thought halflings sounded super fun :O
  3. Hi friends! It's been a hot minute since I roleplayed consistently on Lord of the Craft, and I was still very new around that time, so I'm hoping to start fresh with a new character in Sutica. I already made a second persona a while back but never got off the ground with her. She has next to no backstory and I'll probably end up changing her name slightly, but she's a human currently named Lyssandra Sinclair. I'm not sure how old she is exactly but for story purposes, she's very unestablished. As of right now I'd really like for her to be a merchant/sailor of some sort, potentially engaging in some chaotic neutral-type activities along the way (if Sutica has a black market, she may or may not be exactly the type to float around those circles). Does anyone have any trade groups going right now, or do any diplomats need someone to transport goods? Also as a side note, I'm totally open to other paths I could take with this character as well- this is just the first idea that popped into my head and it sounds like tons of fun. Sutica sounds really interesting but any nation is fine! I'm also on the Sutica discord but I haven't actually requested a role or made it past the gate yet, so if anyone would be willing to walk me through how to get housing in Sutica that would be fantastic (unless I end up in some other nation of course). Thanks in advance and I hope everyone's having an awesome day out there! Stay safe, stay hydrated, idk why I'm signing off....

Ithronel Faven was born to a musician father and a skilled swordsmith mother in Renelia. Her parents naturally had a great desire for her to master swordsmanship as well as the arts, resulting in some pressure. Despite the high expectations of her family, Ithronel greatly enjoyed studying music, literature, and history in particular. However, what fascinated her most, and what her parents cautioned her against, was the pursuit of magical knowledge. Her mother seemed to be fine with it, but her father actively discouraged her from studying magic; it was later discovered that he also refused to follow the Kervira faith, and he was sent to the Onyx Sanctum when Ithronel was at the age of 39. Since then, she has not heard from her father, and he is presumed to have been executed for heresy. The suspected death of her father awakened in her a cold spite for the state and doubt in the power of her ancestors. However, these are sentiments she would never reveal to anyone, resulting in her coming across as quite guarded and at times nervous. She seems to be especially flighty whenever the Ashen Clergy is mentioned. Ithronel and her mother remain in Renelia, where Ithronel performs and composes music. While she would never betray her mother, she does occasionally ponder the possibility of running away and becoming a Druid, becoming a travelling musician, or perhaps reforming the Onyx Sanctum from within. But for now, she strives to contribute to music as best as she can and hopes to immortalize herself through her art. Her music often contains darker underlying themes or expresses her opinions. The themes she chooses to communicate are sometimes controversial, and her music is very much a reflection of her personality: filled with passion and at times spite, but reserved so as to avoid drawing attention. She hopes to one day move out of Renelia to Asimu’lei or Tor Eldar, but her hesitation and loyalty to her mother hold her back from pursuing her desires.
