NON-AGGRESSION The Kingdom of Norland and its vassals, and the Duchy of Redclyf-Rozania will commit to a pact of non-aggression whereby any prior wrongdoing of Clan Mösu towards the Kingdom of Norland will be forgotten in consideration of a united front to face the greater geopolitical landscape. 2. [!] A letter of summons would be distributed on notice boards throughout the Kingdom of Norland so that it may be seen by all who enter its borders. It would also be delivered to the officials of the Horde. An Overseer’s Treason 78 S.A. TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, The Kingdom of Norland is a kingdom that was founded on four important values. Honour, loyalty, order, and faith. As such, it is expected that our citizens not only respect but adhere to these values. Our reputation and our strength is represented by these values. Therefore, it is taken very seriously when there are those who wish to call themselves Norlanders but do not adhere to our values. Our Kingdom’s military, the Royal Norlandic Ashguard, demands that our soldiers and our officers are held to a greater degree of responsibility and adherence to our values. Being an enlisted member and officer of our Ashguard means that you are expected by oath and duty to assist with honouring our nation’s values and our alliances. You are there to be at the forefront of Norland’s military force as we defend ourselves and our allies, as well as to conduct offensive campaigns as we maintain balance and our kingdom’s interests. Desertion of your military duties is not only letting down those around you, but it is also treason against the entirety of the Kingdom of Norland and its vassals. With this document, Astrid Eiriksson-Black is henceforth dishonourably discharged from the Royal Norlandic Ashguard from their position of Overseer for oath-breaking, mutiny, and treason in a time of war. For their crimes, they are charged with oath-breaking, treason, and possible conspiracy, per their publicly admitted remarks. Upon capture, they are to be executed in a way deemed necessary by presiding Norlandic officials. We implore our allies to assist in the capture of Astrid Eiriksson-Black if possible to ensure that justice and order can be thoroughly maintained. Signed, His Excellency, Einar Edvardsson Ruric, by the Blood of the Herald, Prince of Norland, Chancellor of Norland, Chieftain of the Edvardssons, Warden of the Royal Norlandic Ashguard His Excellency, Ragnar Sigvardson I, Lord of Bjornfjall, Marshal of the Royal Norlandic Ashguard, Chieftain of the Sigvardssons
  3. [!] A letter would be distributed on notice boards throughout the Kingdom of Norland so that it may be seen by all who enter its borders. Death and Ash 77 S.A. CITIZENS OF THE REALM, On the 18th of the First Seed, the body of Olivia Freysson Ruric was discovered in the Hearth Temple. This death, unfortunately, marks the death of a Rurikid chieftess, and as such we hope that Clan Freysson are able to peacefully decide on a new Chieftain to represent their clan. Unfortunately, it is the circumstance of their death that is the worst of all. It is believed that she came, with an accomplice, to cause destruction to property of the Red Faith. Sacred murals were desecrated, the front bench vandalised, chandeliers cut from their chains, and the Hearth in the centre of had been extinguished. While there is no certainty, it seems very likely that Olivia’s death was suicide. Whether it is was an assisted suicide is unknown. However, their accomplice had marked the Hearth Temple with what was seemingly a Canonist Cross using Olivia’s blood, which hints at a Canonist link between the two. It is due to these considerations that, using the total power granted on matters of administration and diplomacy during the regency, Olivia Freysson Ruric is henceforth posthumously considered ashed - to bear the surname of Ash when referenced. Throughout and towards the end of her life especially, she has demonstrated an opposition to the values and tradition of the Rurikid that make her undeserving to be considered Rurikid, and is now considered Ash because she no longer has the inner flame that the Rurikid possess. As an Ash, this means that Olivia may no longer be referred to as a Freysson nor a Ruric. If she had any children before death, they too are considered ashed unless they prove themselves worthy. Signed, His Excellency, Einar Edvardsson Ruric, by the Blood of the Herald, Lord-Regent of Norland, Prince of Norland, Chancellor of Norland, Chieftain of the Edvardssons Mera Camian, High Keeper of the Red Faith, Matriarch of Clan Camian
  4. [!] A letter of summons would be distributed on notice boards throughout the Kingdom of Norland so that it may be seen by all who enter its borders. A letter would also be separately slipped under the door of Olivia's room in the Alisgrad palace. Summons of Olivia Freysson TO OLIVIA FREYSSON AND THOSE WHO IT MAY OTHERWISE CONCERN, Following diplomatic conversation after witnessing the claim of conversion in a foreign letter, Olivia Freysson Ruric, Chieftess of Clan Freysson, is under suspicion for the unholy crime of apostasy as listed in the Red Law. With the release of this letter of summons, Olivia is to appear at the Hearth Temple in Alisgrad within the next few days where a Keeper will render appropriate judgment. Additional punishment may be inflicted by the Throne if deemed necessary at the conclusion of a verdict. If Olivia does not attend by the given date, or refuses to prior, it will be considered an admission of guilt that she has wilfully abandoned the covenant sealed by Thoromir ‘the Herald’, and will result in permanent banishment and ashing, whereby she will no longer be permitted to identify herself as Freysson or a Rurikid among other restrictions.

  7. REGARDING THE RED RAIN Issued this 9th of the Snow's Maiden, year 73 of the Second Age To the Citizens of Norland, It is with a great urgency that the King's Council of Norland releases this missive. As many citizens of Norland and other denizens of Nyrheim are aware, a thick "Blood Rain" has began pouring across the vast continent that we call home. Due to the unusual coloring of the rainfall, it was immediately of great concern to the Crown of Norland to take shelter and study the effects such rain had on those it afflicted. As we have concluded, and other sources across Nyrheim have confirmed, being in bare contact with such liquid for too long causes mental abnormalities including but not limited to; intensified feelings of anger, intensified depression, increased likelihood of impulsive and violent actions against others or their own person, an outright loss of mental control, verbal abusiveness, physical abusiveness, temporary loss of memory, et cetera. While not all effects are mutually inclusive, there is a high likelihood of the aforementioned effects happening at once. There is no confirmed sources stating that the red rain is physically altering nor causes bodily abnormalities, and it is believed that all effects of the liquid remain purely mentally-based. With this in mind, we seek to provide the public with the following instructions: - Remain indoors if possible - Wear complete body-covering clothing including gloves and water-proof shoes and boots if available - Wear multiple layers of clothing to prevent liquid seeping through the cloth - Wear helmets and/or complete head and face coverings - Utilize civilian-made umbrellas - Do not attempt to interact with anyone visibly afflicted by the Red Rain - Do not attempt to reason with visibly afflicted persons - Do not interfere with Ashguard operations to restrain afflicted persons - Do not allow Dogs, Cats, or other pets outdoors - Do not allow Livestock outside to graze - Stock up on food - Do not attempt to drink the red rain or foods that have interacted with the red rain - If you are attacked by an afflicted person, defend yourself with non-lethal objects - If you are attacked by an afflicted animal or pet, restrain or kill the animal - If you are physically injured by afflicted, contact a member of the Ashguard immediately - If you have come into prolonged contact with the red rain, contact a member of the Ashguard immediately With the aforementioned instructions made clear to the public, we also wish to make clear that the effects of the red rain are not permanent and will wear off following a prolonged period of being withdrawn from any sources of the red rain. We also wish to make clear that intentional exposure, forceful exposure of others, or other purposeful interactions with the red rain not sanctioned by the King's Council is hereby illegal. The punishment for forcing another to unwillingly interact with the red rain shall be immediate execution by a member of the Ashguard. The punishment for intentional exposure of yourself to the red rain will be prolonged jail time and the loss of a left hand. The Ashguard is hereby instructed to not kill afflicted persons. Ashguard instructions for how to handle inflicted persons shall be written and distributed to members of the Ashguard privately. The Government shall also issue the following information to the public: There shall be Crown-issued umbrellas made of a thicker fabric than civilian-made umbrellas that shall be distributed at the steps of the palace. Should you be unable to make your way to the Palace, then you may request one be brought to you by way of asking a nearby guardsman. Remain safe, follow the instructions, and stay alert. All-Father guide you all, Iron from Ice Signed, His Majesty, Ragnvald Eiriksson Ruric, King of Norland, High Chieftain of the Rurikkid, Duke of Varhelm and Alisgrad, Lord of Eiriksgrad, Protector of the Highlanders, Et Cetera.
  8. Royal Recognition of Clan Sigvardson Issued this 12th of the Amber Cold To the People of Norland and members of the Sigvardson Family, As long as Varhelm and Alisgrad have stood, so too has the Sigvardson family. In the days of Varhelm, the Sigvardsons enlisted as members of the Ashguard and fought against the threat of the Tribals, Svarlings, and Orenians. They have answered the call to arms for the Kingdom of Norland many a time, and their feats shall no longer go unrewarded. Ragnar Sigvardson, a distinguished member of the Family, has served as a Warden of Norland since the middle of former Marshal Ragnvald's tenure, and has been apart of the Ashguard since the days of Marshal Lee Sun. Ludvig Sigvardson, another distinguished member of the Family, has repeatedly fought alongside the forces of Norland in holding back the tide of those who would see Norland under their heel, and has stood as a defender of his homeland among many of his brothers-in-arms. The Sigvardsons uphold justice within their keep of Bjornfjall, and stand as a Clan of Honor, Justice, and Loyalty. It is therefore the pleasure of the Crown of Norland to declare that the Sigvardson family shall join the many ancient bloodlines of Norland among the book of Clans, and shall be admitted as a Royally recognized Clan of Norland. They shall be afforded the rights given to the clans documented in Norlandic Law, and shall be trusted to continue their firm devotion to the Kingdom of Norland. Signed, His Highness, Ragnvald Eiriksson Ruric, King of Norland, High Chieftain of the Rurikkid, Duke of Varhelm and Alisgrad, Lord of Eiriksgrad, Protector of the Highlands, Et Cetera.
  9. Royal Recognition of Clan Anarórë Issued this 12th of the Amber Cold To the People of Norland and members of the Anarórë Family, For many years, members of the Anarórë family have shown their loyalty to the Kingdom of Norland via their contributions to the Crown. From Varhelm to Alisgrad, the Anarórës have given blood, sweat, and tears for the betterment of the lands which they now call home. From the service of Sir Boots Anarórë as both a Warden of the Ashguard and Laird of Grenzstadt to the contributions of Scarlet Anarórë as a member of Rathonian society, the Anarórë clan has proven their loyalty to Norland time and time again. Their Family has provided capable warriors which have fought in the Tribal, Orenian, and Svarling Wars, and they have contributed to Norlandic growth by lording over the Crown's lands in the Southern frontier of the Nation. It is therefore the pleasure of the Crown of Norland to declare that the Anarórë Family shall join the many ancient bloodlines of Norland among the Book of Clans, and shall be admitted as a Royally recognized Clan of Norland. They shall be afforded the rights given to the clans documented in the laws of Norland, and shall be trusted to continue their hard work within the realm. His Highness, Ragnvald Eiriksson Ruric, King of Norland, High Chieftain of the Rurikkid, Duke of Varhelm and Alisgrad, Lord of Eiriksgrad, Protector of the Highlands, Et Cetera.

  19. In Regards to the High Elven Throne and Succession Issued 56 SA In recent years, turmoil within the Elven world has not gone unnoticed by the Kingdom of Norland. The High Elven people arrive at a crossroads, and we would guide them along the right path. Long have we dealt with the Silver State of Haelun’or, and in those dealings, we have found them lacking. From henceforth the Kingdom of Norland officially recognizes Princess Ivarielle I as the rightful sovereign of the High Elven people. Since our arrival upon Nyrheim, the Silver State has proven an incompetent, fair weather friend at best. At worst, when Norlandic blood was at stake, they showed themselves to be oath-breakers. It is hoped that a new ruler who has acknowledged the flaws of the present Silver State may lead to a more productive future between the Kingdom of Norland and the High Elven people. We look forward to friendship in the years to come. Signed, His Royal Majesty, Vane Freysson Ruric, King of Norland, Duke of Varhelm, High Chieftain of the Rurikkid, Protector of Highlanders
