You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Ace pinched the bridge of his nose, a squinting gaze formed from the repulsive aroma as he slowly takes the seat as he deadpans at the women. The man responded a calm albeit disgusted tone towards the elder woman. "I have just arrived in this town, me and my allies have been traversing the plains for a while, we've searched long for a place to settle." He released the soft grip from his nose, a sign of respect as he begins speaking once more. "Our origins do not reside in these lands, it's been quite a while since we've seen new faces." The man made a pitiful smile as a palm gestured to the front entrance. "They're currently awaiting outside, we're simply searching for settlement and nothing more, our adventures have been quite dull . . . We grew up in a small village residing east from here, a snowy region in which we lived in solitary, secluded from most until the harsh natures grew too harsh for us to handle. It was tough in those years, but we hope to discover a easier life here." Ace paused, clearing a raspy throat before continuing. "From the beginning, these allies were mere neighbors of mine, my household consisted of just me and my father. He was a hunter who gathered food for us, though I kept myself entertained by keeping the animals for myself rather than eating them. Nature was seldom there, being laborious to find vegetation or creatures. This led to be one of the main reasons for my departure, but my retreat hadn't occur until after my father passed due to a plague, one he obtained during a trading trip across the lands. He had previously promised to lead me around the trading pathways so I could see the world for myself, but of course, he was absent for that. I had to embark on my journey without much assistance besides my other allies. Fortunately, the paths were noticeable enough for us to traverse upon, which led us here, now."
