You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "afternoon" I don't hesitate sit down, cautiously smiling, curious at my connection with this strange woman. A quiet few seconds go by... "I wouldn't call it dingy, feels more like home than anything"... "guess that's just home though, ain't it?". "First time out of the mountains for a while, I do appreciate a good cushion... compared to thin linen on granite" looking down at the dirty, once bright now dim excuse for a cushion. "though even a log would beat that, heh". "don't suppose y'kno the life? wake up, crawl up rock for 8 hours; Eat, sleep, and repeat?" ... I anxiously wait for a response. "Well uh, anyways, I'm here for some new rope, maybe some grub. Either way, A girl needs a break".
