  5. Parchments are plastered to various buildings around Kal’Arkon as well as on the notice board near the entrance to the city. “To the Citizens of Kal’Arkon and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, I write to you today to announce my resignation from kingship. During my reign as Gand King I have learned much about myself and others. The Dwarves who have served me were strong, intelligent, and stubborn as all our kin are. What I have learned is what my father held in his heart, the knowledge that he is not fit to be king of the Dwedmar. Some may disagree, but I finally understand after many sleepless nights why this position is only for the best of the Dwarves. I know my place is in my house, with my family as the last breaths I take are taken in the serenity of contentment. The Dwarves are a strong people, if they were not I would have feared making this choice as I would believe they would need me to rule over them. I know now they do not, but what I do know is that whoever shall be the next Grand King of Urguan needs to be fierce, not only in their actions but in their opinions. My successor shall need to be able to withstand all possible events that the Fringe shall throw at them and still come out willing to propose new ideas that shall lead us to thrive no matter the environment. As the next election commences, I implore all Dwarves take a step back before voting and make sure that who they vote for is not for popularity but for skill and resilience. I shall not go through a list of important persons to send an individual message but I shall wish the current lords council luck, as for now they shall lead the nation to whatever end until the elections have subsided. I have faith in those who sit beside the Obsidian Throne, though their opinions differ and skills vary, they have served me and the nation without a doubt of loyalty. As a last message, I shall remind all of you to remember that we must look upon every dwarf as kin. What I fear the most for our nation is the power of Khorvad, which wished to plant fury and hatred between the Dwedmar. In this age as well as all ages we must remain united as one nation, one goal and one people. Do not let your differing opinions lead to bloodshed between Dwarves, for then you have turned your back upon the Brathmordakin and all the Grand Kingdom may suffer. Whether this next era is one of violence and turmoil or peace and prosperity is left in the hands of the people. Whichever path we may take, we must be resilient and remember the stories of our ancestors, the faith of the Brathmordakin, and the brotherhood of kin.” Underneath the letter is the seal of the Grand Kingdom and a signature, looked to be personally signed on each letter that adorns the walls of Kal’Arkon. “Hogarth Irongut, son of Thordon, former Grand King of Urguan.”
  6. The seal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan is at the bottom of this agreement.
  7. A small leaflet is printed and hung on the announcement board near the entrance to the capital Kal'Arkon. On it is a small message. "I, Grand King Hogarth Irongut, declare that the new Guildmaster of the Engineering guild is Dom Irongut. His long service to the guild has given him much experience as well as a sense of leadership. He has been working hard even before the mention of a new Guildmaster to revive the Engineering Guild. With the guild in his hands I have no doubt that it shall be as great if not greater than its best days under Nalro Grayhammer. I encourage any and all beardlings who have not yet found a place in our kingdom to join this nations guilds as they are the trades that dominate the kingdom during our time of peace."
  8. ((You can ask me or Zezimus I wrote this entirely by myself Kipples.))
  9. The lords individually walked out of the throne room as an announcement had been made, a legion grunt accompanied them, but quickly dashed to the local printing press with a letter in his hand with the seal of the Grand Kingdom. "As Grand King I, Hogarth Irongut, announce my replacement for Lord Chancellor as Balek Irongut. He has served the Grand Kingdom well as our High Remembrancer, showing great care and respect for this nation's history as well as books that shall be used to train new comers for generations. His guild was a shadow of what it once was when he was selected, but now it has grown to encompass all walks of life, as well as the Kingdom's greatest scholars. His work ethic and attention to detail shall be helpful in the days to come, as the role of Lord Chancellor is no easy task. Regardless, I believe there is no more qualified Dwarf to preform the nation's diplomacy and oversee the Grand Kingdom's Merchant Guild. Let this not deter those who have ambitions to become a Lord of the Grand Kingdom, your chance shall come if you continue to strive and produce intelligent ideas that this nation was founded and continue to work upon. There are still many places where diligent Dwarves are needed, I wish to support those of you on your journey to fulfill your ambition."
  10. Can a Forum Moderator unpin Zezimus's Grand Kingdom post and pin mine in the Dwarf Roleplay section?

  12. Many copies of a single letter are spread across Kal’Arkon, upon close inspection you see the seal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. “People of Urguan, kin and enemies alike, with the fall of Carrion comes a new era for the Dwarves and all races that now reside in the Fringe. Our people have faced many hardships and have been shaped by those challenges. The time of the previous king was a time of war and conflict, but now with the change of leadership across many races I believe we have come to a time of peace. As Grand King I make an oath to my people that I shall fight for this peace, as the past has taken many of our loved ones. We shall mourn those whom we have lost but it is time for us as a nation united by Yemekar and founded by Urguan to rebuild what we have lost with commerce, entertainment, engineering and our strength of will. A time of peace has come but to preserve the age old Kingdom we must remain ever vigilant and not give ourselves to lethargy. The guilds of the Kingdom shall be vital to our way of life in these coming days. I ask those of you who have shied away from working in a guild to rethink your approach, work and you shall be rewarded. What this Grand Kingdom needs is young Dwarves that will push themselves to their limit for the lands that their fathers knew and loved. As of late there have been many new leaders in the King’s Council and our Kingdom has been observing those in charge of these guilds, working fervently to make sure that they are skilled at their job and have the determination for their guild and therefore the Kingdom to thrive. Even in this peace we must place emphasis on our legion, guards are needed to keep Yemekar’s peace and our legionnaires should be prepared for whatever threat this Kingdom shall face. I shall require the legion to reward each of its guards and train them for combat as well as allow those who have a strong will to improve our nation’s legion to rise the ranks and pass the torch of leadership. For others, guilds may not be what they enjoy or find that something else is to their liking. For those of that category, surround yourself with your family, clans are what gives this kingdom its heritage and its culture. Much lies on the father of each clan, they have the responsibility to raise the future of the Dwarven nation, but time spent striving to improve your clan is time spent with your loved ones. Building your clan to be strong is just as important as working to make the Kingdom as a whole indomitable. There is still much to improve in our way of governance, I ask that all clan fathers participate in the Clan Council so the needs of the people are met. My clan has had its lack of kings as of late, with me being the first Irongut Grand King to serve the Kingdom, let me prove to you that my reign shall bring an epoch of peace where Dwarves are not driven by bloodshed but by ingenuity, industry, order and prosperity.”
  13. Lord Chancellor Hogarth Irongut scans the crowd, many races have all gathered here in Kal'Arkon: Orcs, Humans, Elves and his kin, they all wonder what the future of the Grand Kingdom is. Most of their faces show looks of uncertainty, they probably thought that the Grand King's leave is sudden and they would be thinking correctly. Hogarth takes a deep breath then begins to shout towards the crowd. "People of teh Fringe, todeh 'as been quoite 'ectic but let us all take ah moment to remembah teh Grand King whu recentleh resoigned, Wulfgar Grandaxe led all of us whethah t'ey were ah Irongut, ah Grandaxe, an Ire'eart er of any other clan. 'is reign wus wun of conflict, an' it's uncertain whether our next dehs shall beh aswell, but 'e took all of t'ese problems an' united us, strengthened us, t'ese dehs of relative peace wouldnae beh 'ere if it weren't fer 'im!" The crowds begin to clap, their fear tamed for a brief moment as the memory of the past king is clear in their minds. Hogarth raises his right hand to the height of his shoulder, signaling the crowds to return to silence. "But weh must now look tuh teh future! And fer t'at I nominate myself fer teh next election fer Grand King!" Some people clap, others show a blank expression on their face, Hogarth continues. "In meh loife ah 'ave seen maneh kings roise an' fall, ah am 'onored tuh 'ave lived t'rough Wulfgar's reign, an' I would give meh all tuh make sure t'at t'is Kingdom sees bettah dehs t'an it evah 'as. Ah shall peh close attention tuh teh guilds, t'eir leadahs 'ave ah duteh tuh teh kingdom tuh make Dwarves new tuh teh nation welcome an' able tuh reach t'eir potential. Teh official buildings need an' shall beh build in Arkon, an' all our treaties shall beh up'eld fer t'ose t'at 'ave fought wit' us valiantleh in teh war 'gainst Carrion Oren. Ah will alsuh make sure t'at in t'ese uncertain toimes teh military needs tuh beh sure t'at weh shall all foight fer t'em, fer our kingdom shall beh preserved fer our children, t'eir children, an' further generations!" Hogarth takes a breath as he awaits the nominations of the rest of the lords.
  14. Hogarth sat in his empty house with only paper and a quill to keep him from his own will to sleep. The light of torches dart across the corners of the room, signaling the silence that the Dwarven kingdom has experienced as of late. Suddenly a legionnaire bursts through the door, quickly summarizing what had occurred in Oren, of the death of their new king and of others. Most of it did not surprise him, history changes with the seasons and all leaders come to a fall, even if one wished for a different outcome. He was about to send the legionnaire on his way when he heard, "Loret'os Basileus is dead." Hogarth didn't expect that, Lorethos spoke of much more than that, and spoke so well of it that he had almost come to see it as inevitable. Even if the last war would have degraded their friendship, just last elven day he wished to have a drink with him once the conflict had settled over. Hogarth sent the legionnaire away, now having a reason to be scribbling on a piece of paper.
  15. Hogarth walks up to the hall board after a long day of fighting, having won he felt a sense of accomplishment. After quickly reading the note his face turns into a still quiet, perfectly serious in its silent presentation. He slowly walks to his home and sets his helmet on the table, staring at the house were he would have hoped she would reside. Hogarth stays in his room for a few days, rarely if ever talking to any Dwarf around him.
  16. Hogarth gets up and stamps the scroll with the seal of the Grand Kingdom, signaling its approval to be shown to the Grand King.
  17. On a particularly clear day in the new outpost of Kal'Arkon, the light of the sun and natural rocks reflects off the pools surface as the lords convene for a meeting. The meeting was not a usual one, however, as it only discussed one topic. "Ah believe t'at whut ah a've called yeh 'ere tuhday lads is vital tuh teh comin' dehs, tensions are bein' raised, kingdoms forged an' old rivals shed new light un new conflict. In t'ese dehs, it is important t'at our king, as teh un' whu wus elected bah teh Dwarves of teh Grand Kingdom, 'as teh powah tuh make sure t'at our land flourishes. Un' of t'ese tools is crown authoriteh, an t'at is why ah 'ave called yeh 'ere, tuh raise teh authoriteh of our king tuh 'oigh suh t'at our lands can truleh beh safe." Hogarth then slides a document to the middle of the wooden table the lords all sit upon. High Crown Authority The Grand King has the power to declare war as he wishes. The Grand King has the power to make or break an alliance if he has the authorisation of three fifths of the Lord's Council. The Grand King has the power to remove a Jarl. The Grand King has the power to appoint a replacement Jarl if he has a three fifths majority vote of the Lord's Council. The Grand King has the power to remove a member of the King's Council. The Grand King has the power to appoint a replacement King's Council member if he has a three fifths majority vote of the Lord's Council. Lord Chancellor Hogarth Irongut Lord Fimlin Grandaxe ~Dizzy Irongrinder~ Lord Protector Zahrer Irongrinder
  18. Hogarth sat at the council meeting, unsure of whether to sign this new law or not, upon seeing the spectacle of Dizzy's northern homeland come to life he had no choice but to sign such a document.
  19. Hogarth looks around the meeting room. "Well if nae un will nominate anyun' else ah believe t'at teh position of clan fathah goes tuh 'iebe. Ah trust wit' 'im teh future of t'is clan, work 'ard 'iebe."
  20. ={Ballot}= Name: Hogarth Irongut Vote: Wulfric Grandaxe Balek Irongut XX
  21. On a usual day in the damp city of Kal'Ithrun, Hogarth sends messages to all his fellow clan members personally to meet in the meeting room of the clan hall. "Lads, t'ere has been a thought lurking meh moind lateleh, I feel as t'ough meh duties as ah lord of t'is kingdom keep me too occupied tuh fulleh serve t'is grand clan. I wish fer ah Irongut t'at will take teh mantel of Irongut clan fathah proudleh an' work 'is arse off tuh make t'is teh best clan in teh kingdom. As our traditions guh it shall beh put to vote who will be teh next clan leader, but personalleh ah nominate teh formah clan fathah meh cousin 'iebe. Any of yeh are free tuh nominate whuever yeh wish in the clan an' weh shall vote accordinleh."
  22. Lord Hogarth Irongut nods as Farren speaks, sitting next to Farren. After the second map is handed to Farren he asks to see it. He lays the map on the table and points to the land in the jungle "T'is land would beh better in meh eyes, as per'aps t'ere is still 'ope of restorin' Kal'Garud, 'er t'is land is at least safer t'en near teh corrupted town, but mah main concern is fer yer people." He pauses for a second as lords and Zlatomir look at him. "Per'aps ah am nut keepin' up as much as ah used tuh, but whu are yer koind? Also, why is it t'at yeh wish tuh live in teh Grand Kingdom? Weh duh not make vassals lightleh, ah would loike tuh nuh why yeh would choose t'is land ovah othahs."
