  1. Application: -OOC- Username: TheNander Time Played on Lotc: I worked as an elf with the Dwarves since Aegis and now I am a Dwarf myself in Asulon. I have been with the server since July of 2011. # of Ban reports placed on yourself: None Position you are looking for?: The Lord Baron Why are you good for this position?: I am currently in the position and it was appointed to me by Kjell. I also have been doing what the job entailed long before I even received the rank of Baron. Before there was a Baron I did the jobs of Baron because they needed to be done so I stepped up. I also am a Teamspeak authority figure to halt multi-channel conflicts between OOC nation chats. Display some examples that prove the above: I have been sending new Dwarves in the direction of the guild that most closely relates to their best skill as well. I also have been stockpiling resources by use of guilds and ...other means. (Stealing from orc camps) I have just recently began the Market Project I've started on the Google Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains other projects I've listed that need to be done around Mount Ire. I am hoping to expand it to other areas in the Karik region. Do you believe other Dwarves respect you? Yes, I do. I'd say about 95% approve of me. I usually get along with mostly everyone. There's always a few bad eggs that show up in the basket. -RP- Name?: Baron Nalro Grayhammer Yer partial bluud loine (Cave Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf, Forest Dwarf): *There seems to have been something written here, but a grease stain from a porkchop makes it illegible.* 'Ow long 'ave ya lived in da Empire ov Urguan?: In me youth me 'nd me fader lived wif tae Elves 'nd 'umans. At a point in me life Ah've moved back tuh tae Kingdom's lands. Ah've been t'ere ever since. ((OOC I've been there since I created my character.)) Wut be yer current position?: Ah be tae Baron o' tae Lands o' Karik Wut position are ye current luukin' fer?: Tae Lord Baron Are ya a Clod? a Dreg? or a Noble?: Ah be a Noble. Wut be yer primary skills?: Ah be a Supreme Swordsman ((Lvl 92)) Ah aim tuh be gud in blacksmiffin an' Archery as well. I alsuh be dabblin in a bit o' erryfing tuh accomplish sum basic tasks. W'y duh ya fink yer a capable Dwarf fer dis job eh?: Ah be already a Baron. W'o duh ye pledge Oath tuh?: Tae Paragon Kjell
  2. Nalro looks at the note, noticing others weren't so fond of it as well, drops his pants, squats, and leaves a steamy one right on the note.
  3. [2] PERFECT! The chest needs to disappear afterwords though.
  4. [2] In less populated cities this kills us. In Mt. Ire we have to wait for a lumberjack or blacksmith to get online to get anything done. This does encourage shops, however... Wait a second... *Runs off to build the new Economy District of Mount Ire.*
  5. Keep in mind everything is stored in either a file or a database. If its a file he can just go in there and wipe everyone's stats, but with a 24-48hr warning first so people could screenshot their stats so they can remember what their stats were originally so they can set them back to what they had them at if they really liked them. Also, not everyone watches his livestream. A poll on the homepage would have been nice, with maybe an announcement in game regarding it.
  6. There should be a vote before anything is added. If the community wants it then it should be added. If the community hates it with a burning passion then it should be removed/not added. It's the community that funds the server, and therefore should be tailored to the community.
  7. I go all out when trying to prove a point of realism. Just ask Seventh.
  8. I shouldn't have to pay someone to turn my logs I already have and make them into planks. People split planks into logs to use in furnaces. Its a common household job for some people. Chopping existing logs like these: http://zinnoslandscapingllc.com/web_images/firewood.jpg into planks like these: shouldn't be a problem or a matter of skill.
  9. Couldn't find any logs, but I did find a weather treated fence post lying around. It's 7:48 and I was only out for a few mins and I was able to chop halfway through it. I didn't want to disturb my neighbors. I might continue tomorrow when everyone's at work. Pics in spoiler:
  10. There is a line between Realism and Redundancy and this crosses it. I shouldn't need a lumberjack level to make logs into planks. I have no experience IRL doing that and I can probably cut some logs with an axe I have in my backyard. I have never split logs in my life so I guess that's the equivalent of lvl 0. If there is a dispute over whether or not the requirement should be removed I'm willing to go outside, cut some REAL wood, with a REAL axe, and then post pictures. >Edit: Going out to my garage to get an axe to cut wood. Will post pics.
  11. 16x buttons: It's kinda lame that TWO WHOLE BLOCKS of stone are required to make a single button. 16 buttons seem like a more realistic result. I'll edit this post if I add any more.
  12. I got these from my Spotify playlist and provided links to YouTube for some of them. 13. Aye, ye be approved. Foind me 'round Mt. Ire an' ah'll get ye set up. [[i'm Ined's sub atm. He's away.]]
  14. May yer battles be short en yer beard long.
  15. Don't worry that won't happen. You need redstone current touching the gate at all times. If theres no blocks on top, it will just keep going until the bottom-most fencepiece is touching the redstone. I've had this plugin on my own server. The only thing we found annoying that we didn't see with FB was that you need to make enough space above the gate for when it is raised so the gate takes up twice as much space as a FB one would, but in this case that is a good thing I suppose because it makes for better RP. EDIT: Nevermind, I was wrong. I could have sworn it stops on its own.
  16. ((Yes, Its BYOB [bring Your Own Bread]. Unless you're a first timer; then we will supply you with bread if needed.))
  17. [[Ok, fixed up the post. If you see any Dwarven gramatical errors, please tell me.]]
  18. *You go to the temporary throne room and you begin to hear faint sounds of yelling, whistling and occasionally splashing. The sound gets louder as you approach the back wall on the left. "There must be a switch around here somewhere..." You find the switch, some stairs are revealed. As you descend the steps, almost instantly you are brought into a room with a stone beam in the middle on its side over a pit of what you assume based on the scenario is a cocktail of sweat, blood, and what you hope is just water. A fellow dwarf greats you and says "Welcome ta Bread Fights!", trying to speak over the yelling rabble. "Bread Fights?" You ask in a questioning tone. "Aye, lad. Bread Fights. Over t'e past few monfs we be gettin plenty o' bread from t'e farm. So t'ose two knuckle 'eads over dere are t'e founders ov it." The man gestures toward Nalro Grayhammer fighting in the pit and Olaf Dawnsworn who was watching on the sidelines refereeing the match. Through the crowd you notice a dwarf beating a man savagely with a loaf of bread before swiftly delivering his finishing blow to the jaw knocking loose several of the mans teeth causing him to fall into the pit of a quasi-describable substance. Nalro walks towards you. "Ye be new 'ere?" With mouth wide open, you nod. "We 'ave a new 'un!..." The crowd silences. "I be guessin ye dunnae kno t'e rules 'ov t'e fights?" You shake your head back and forth no. "Aye, alrighty t'en." He begins to explain the rules: Before you have time to respond to rule #8 you are shoved onto the stone beam with a larger dwarf, slightly burlier then yourself. A soundbox chimes and you are passed a loaf of bread. The battle commences.*
  19. ((Charles still needs to make me the Master Engineer IC, He made me ME in OOC already. Also, I need my rank between normal Architects and Guild Leader's listed. :3 ))
  20. Bumping on the Minecraft Forums are against the forum rules. Just saying.
  21. Now what if you loot the chest and accidentally end up buying 2 stacks of diamond blocks? Also, people are just going to make chest shops for their items and put them up for sale for an impossible price.
  22. MC name: TheNander Character Name: Nalro Grayhammer Forum name: TheNander Mining level: 0 Excavation level: 9 Blacksmith level: 0 Why do ye want te join?
