  2. The Dwarven Engineering Guild History: The Engineers of Urguan were officially founded when the Grand Council was reformed. Upon the Promotion of Nalro Grayhammer to the Grand Council Position of Lord Baron, Nalro left the guild under the management of Dominic Irongut. After the recent council elections Nalro Grayhammer has become the Guildmaster once again. Since then the Dwarves have been constructing and using their inventions both domestically and for war. Ranks: Guildmembers are promoted based on the Guildmaster's observations. 1. Neophyte Pleb Newly accepted into the guild Begins basic redstone training if needed 2. Legion Field Engineers: The Legion Field Engineers (LFEs) are an elite group of engineers selected for military duty and trained by both the guild and the Dwarven Legion. The job of a field engineer is to repair and operate siege equipment as well as provide a tactical advantage over the enemy using the skills, information, and equipment obtained by the guild. Occasionally LFE squads will be assigned to Spec Ops missions in an attempt to sabotage the enemy, obtain information, or schematics. All LFEs will be chosen by the guild master and will be assigned squads to be used on the battlefield. Squadmates may differ from those in your workgroup. The LFE program is currently a work in progress. OOC Resources: Current Assignments: [Link] Guild Roster: [Link] Beliefs: [Link]
  3. This thread needs to be updated or a new one put in place.
  4. Nalro Grayhammer sets off to go find Olaf and Farren again to make more equipment, hopeful that we will have enough materials. ((We need some iron and leather to make the equipment guize.))
  5. Nalro Grayhammer sits in his brewery at his rather small drafting table. He begins drafting a tool that Dwarves can use in close-quarters combat. Upon the designs completion he attaches it to a page of his journal which is equipped with a lock made by Farren Starbreaker, Master Blacksmith and put in place by Olaf Stormhammer. Nalro then publishes a brief literature on the new equipment and distributes copies of it. Nalro then begins writing in magnificent calligraphy. "The Digging Tool (or D-Tool as it is better known as) is a razor-sharp miniature spade that is as long as a half Om. I have previously made a stone prototype which was used to cut off the hands of Dormin Doomforge. The issue I seemed to notice with the stone head was that it chipped constantly causing a blunt edge. Unfortunately for Dormin we were not aware of this at the time of his punishment. Sorry Dormin. Anyhow, I had Farren smith me another prototype, this one of iron. The problem with it is that it isn't as strong or durable as i'd like it to be. It is significantly sharper, but has a short lifespan. I have deemed it not safe to issue to the legion as of now. He did it. Farren has made the final version of the D-Tool. This one is ready to be issued to the Legion. The head is composed of steel smelted by Master Blacksmith Farren Starbreaker using iron and a substance that looked to me like coal. The wooden handle is composed of oak which is found to be the strongest out of the woods we've tested." Nalro, now satisfied with his previous invention begins sketching a new design, a design for armor. The design is then given to Olaf and then returned to his journal. With the designs in hand, Olaf gets to work: "I have noticed somewhat recently that all legionaires are patrolling the hold with this hot, heavy, and clanky iron armor. The other day I saw a few legionaires attempting to apprehend a criminal, but was unable to succeed due to the criminal outrunning the iron-clad legionaires. I have decided that the city guard needs a light, flexible, and durable armor that has lots of functionality. As a result there should be an increase in both arrests and morale. I have brought Olaf the design and he has created a harder, more durable leather. He has studded it as well, without my approval, but it seems fine. The armor also includes a belt with pouches and a sheathe for a combat knife."
  6. Nalro Grayhammer, after performing a successful 12 push-ups senses a disturbance in the Force. He ignores it.
  7. Nalro shakes his head at the lies and states: Yer arrogance'll be yer downfall, ye wee bastard. Ah never s'ulda trained ye. He then leaves the scene.

I have experience in the position and was also the first Dwarf to be titled Master Engineer. If references and proof of experience are needed don't hesitate to ask.

For those of you who aren't sure what I'm getting at, see The Lion King. )) Nalro smiles slightly, not a smile of greed, but one of contentedness. "As t'e king widders along wif 'is kingdom anodder shall be born from t'e ashes, bringin new loife tuh t'e kingdom." Nalro also thinks Kilgrim should be hung for saying such a thing.
