  1. I like to think that Goblins are friendly with halflings because they understand what it's like to be a not-dwarf tinyman.
  2. Agh, Krah did not dink of dat. We cannot stab heds wid pissy sticks! ...Unless we really dun like dem, hurhurhur.
  3. Wood is kay fer me, cuz den if da steps break, we stick dem sticks togeder and make spikes fer stickin heds on.
  4. Haha, Krahnag can get to klompin (I'll only klomp da bad humies!). Dank you Lotherthi... loethei... ... Dankies. OOC: Yeah, thanks!
  5. How to be romantic- sneak up on partner, smack them over the head with something heavy, mate with their unconcious form First they get the surprise of being knocked out, then the surprise of being a parent-to-be! I imagine that there is such a thing as proper, tender love for orcs, but it would be something done in absolute secret. Getting caught during your peaceful snuggles would be the most disgraceful thing possible for an orc... Apart from getting caught snuggling with a halfling I guess.
  6. I think if you make a trailer, video or advertisement deliberately aimed at females by making them look way better than the males... You'll offend the girls. They'd see someone waving their arms saying "HEY GIRLS LOOK WE TOTALLY AREN'T SEXIST"
  7. I think a good romantic gesture for an orc would be to dissapear one day without explanation, then return a week later with a bag full of the bones, guts and treasures of your enemies.
  8. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: Whitevertin -How old are you?: 17 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: England, GMT -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I might make a typo through overenthusiastic typing speeds, but otherwise I'm good. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Well, I'm an aspiring writer (isn't everyone?), horror and comedy and comedy-horror especially. I can also draw a little and sprite, but neither are super-awesome things I'm amazing at either. I'm still in school and I spend most of my time on the computer when I'm not at school. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Hm, not sure, but most of the week except for school-time (8:50am - 3:00pm on a full day, but varies depending on my schedule). -How long have you played minecraft?: Since "classic" mode was the only mode. -What do you know about roleplaying?: I've been rping for over 2 years, maybe over 3, not entirely sure. I know all about the difference between IC and OOC, and I can easily distance my own knowledge from my character's. I've done murder-mystery, sci-fi, chaotic freeplay rps... -What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect that I won't get very far up the food chain, I expect that me and my friend will mostly just explore and enjoy the land as it is. The architecture looks incredibly impressive, and it's always good to explore a populated world. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: None worth mentioning. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Of course. -Name the 4 races on this server: Human, Dwarf, Orc, Elf. -How did you hear about us?: I saw a youtube trailer, which lead to a "let's play" series by one of the ascended. It looked interesting, so I did some research, and here I am. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Whitevertin, display name is Vert. In-Character: -Character Name: Krahnag Gurhg (Krah to his friends only, and also himself) -What is your Race?: Orc, Nomad -Biography: When Krah was tiny, Krah was rude and very unfendie. Krah had no fendies, and without fendies, Krah was always angry and his 'art hurt, and he was hurty all de time. One day Krah got too hurty and made a lot of people angry, so after he got klomped (but not to deaf!) dey decided he shud lern a little humity, so dey sent him out into the wilds. He was old enuf to fight and hurt the bad things and feed Krah, so Krah lived for long time in wilds. After some years of living in wilds, Krah went back to big city to klomp all da puny guards, but when got dere, dey welcomed im insted! Krah stayed for a while, but Krah missed the wilds, so he went back into the wilds and looked out, finding new greener dings furder away, until Krah met Zylina the elfie. Krah and Zylina became true fendies, and now they explore together! ...Okay, some more explanation, because Krahnag didn't quite understand it. Krah was raised in Krugmar, and as is custom, he was sent into the desert alone at a young age after they decided he was weak. And while he was weak, he was also cunning and willing to become strong, so he managed to survive. However, unlike most Orcs, who simply return once they have proven themselves, Krah didn't understand that he was supposed to, so he stayed in the desert, fighting monsters and fending for himself, until he thought he was strong enough to take on the whole of Krugmar by himself. The rest is as he explained. Himself and Zylina crossed paths in the forest by chance, and they stuck together because they recognised eachother as badasses. -Character Age: 19 -Character Appearance: Krah has strapped several pieces of metal to him as ad-hoc armor and knives for carving meat or skinning animals, though the armor is basically ineffective. He wears a ragged black tunic with a brown undershirt and brown trousers. Physically, he's as bulky as you would expect of an orc, with tusk-like teeth that reach up to about his nose. His hair obviously hasn't been cut in some time, or if it has, it's been done poorly. -Character Personality: Krah is simultaniously very angry and very happy. He likes fighting and hitting things, but he doesn't necessarily think of violence as a hostile thing. He might headbutt you for fun, but it doesn't mean he doesn't like you. He's protective of his "fendies" (friends), and often suspicious when strangers approach them, but he is also very gullible, and takes most people's words at face value. As long as he doesn't think there's a threat, he's usually friendly, if... excitable. -Your ambitions: Da be da biggest and da strongest!.. And ta protect fendies. -Can your character read or write?: Haha, no. -Can your character mine?: As an orc, brutally hitting something over and over again is a skill of his, but he's not really patient enough for deep mining. -Are you a capable builder?: He would be fine with a tent or hovel, but he has little understanding of architecture. But he is pretty good at sticking spikes to things that are already there. -Can you wield a sword?: Krah is good wid zult, Krah always train for klompin! -Enjoy Farming?: He's impatient, but also has a deep respect for nature. He'd be capable, but not exceptional. Sort of a C- in farming, if that makes sense. But if anything went wrong he'd probably flip his skah and break something. -Does your character have any special skills?: Krah has a lot of brute force and he's not too bright, so manual labour is his speciality. But his real element is in the wilderness, capable of fending for himself for long periods of time. -A screenshot of your skin: -Other Information: I'm really interested in the lore for this server, and this will be the first time I've entered an MMO with a friend behind me to keep me interested, so this should be a lot of fun. I'm interested to see how things go. I'll add a link to my friend's profile (Zylina) when they post it. EDIT: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/19441-zylinas-application/
  9. I wonder if some high-quality stone, like gold or obsidian or something, could be used as a drug by dwarves. I dunno, a dwarf getting high off of a really awesome rock and becoming addicted to mining it just seems really in-character.
  10. For the villain part I think one thing people should bear in mind is that you can't just do evil/insane things without reasons. Insanity is a good way to make a villain, but remember that insanity isn't a free "do what you want without explanation" card. It just means that your logic is different to normal people's logic. For example, (in a technically unrelated rp being used an example) my insane character's thing was that she didn't see anything negative about death, so if she killed someone, she would do so with a smile on her face and wonder why other people are so unhappy about it. It helps if there's some traumatic backstory that explains why they have this problem, though it isn't really necessary either. While we're on that subject, evil should have a motiviation beyond "I'm evil therefore I am". There's tons of choices, but they can be simplified to "I'm actually the goodguy, nobody else understands" and "I like power/money a lot, and I'll do bad things to get it". Make sure that your actions fit. If you think you're actually the goodguy, and your evil actions are the right thing to do, then kicking a puppy is probably out of character.
  11. I kind of imagined a mix between the warhammer 40k orks, and the orcs from Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. The humanoid figure of the orcs, and the brutish, muscle-bound orks. The emotional eyes and height of the orcs, the tiny noses and gigantic teeth of the orks.
