Do you expect a perfect name to show up? It's not going to happen. How about we vote on what sort of name we want, like if we want to keep Kal or not. Then we can go through the thread and pick our favorites to vote on. Or instead of voting, the upper-ups can just decide. But we are getting nowhere.

Should we put a freeze on new suggestions and narrow down the current list? We're not getting anywhere with this.

Well, technically speaking, any sort of light will do, as long as it's bright enough. It's not like the plants can tell whether the light comes from the sun or a bunch of torches. And I'm not just talking about Minecraft plants, either. And what about mushrooms? They don't need light at all.

If we should be developing curricula, then can we discuss that here? Because I have a question. OOC: To what extent can we reference OOC facts in our lessons? For instance, I plan on teaching military science. Can I directly reference the fact that you can't break blocks where you don't have permission? I would put it in IC terms, of course, but I was wondering if the characters are aware of things like this. It's not the sort of thing you can just make an OOC footnote about in the middle of a lesson, it would be the subject of multiple lessons. I imagine that other subjects have similar problems, including magic, mining, and the like.

Are you talking about snow golems? Because that would be really entertaining.

Which sort of Dwarven would that be? I don't recognize it. And I still say we use a unique language.

This reminds me of Gollum's lake from the Hobbit. This is COMPLETELY OOC, letter and spirit, but maybe there could be a colony of Orcs on the other side of the lake. And I also like the idea of a Masons religion.

It's a completely new city, there's no name at all. It's not changing the name, it's giving it a name.

I don't think we should use any pre-existing languages, real or fictional. Our culture is unique from other dwarf societies, so we should make our own language.

I just had a thought: How will enchanting items work on LoTC? Will experience orbs be brought back? Will anyone be able to enchant? I think dwarves should be the only ones able to enchant, at least armor, but maybe everything.

I think there should be some grand example of dwarf craftmanship, like a giant jewel or amazing statue.

Well, we're not a different culture, are we? We're just moving to a new location, we're still the same characters. I still like Kal'Veraz (as the modern name) Ka'gragk (as the native one, slight variation from Kal, since they're ancestors the culture and language should be similar)
