Friendly suggestion a roster is always nice on threads like that, especially leadership so people know who to contact for help/inquires.

  14. The Arcane Vigil Ever vigilant in the pursuit of knowledge About Us: The vigil is not an ancient, strict order of mages. Nor are we some exclusive cult. Nay, we are a casual magical brotherhood, bound together in our quest for knowledge! Our thirst for adventure and knowledge leads us far and wide, from the dark depths of crumbling ruins or merely a journey together to a distant city. Whatever the case may be, the Vigilants stand united, watching each others backs and congregating together for safety against those whom would seek to harm us. We care not for wars or power, only for knowledge! A brief history: The Arcane Vigil is not an old nor storied name. Yet our roots trace back to another name. The Arcane Delvers. A guild founded in the days of Asulon in a time where magi were despised and abused, much like they are today in parts of the world. Polgrath the mindlord, a master of Illusion banded together with the Sorcerer Richard Tarus to create a place where magi might live and study together in peace. A place that would come to be known as Ac’talareh. The guild flourished with Polgrath at the helm, its members frequently going off on adventures of all kinds. However Polgrath eventually left the Delvers. After his departure, the Delvers saw different leaders come and go, the guild changing slightly (and in some cases dramatically) to fit each different leaders whims. Yet still they, for the most part, prospered, growing to become the largest non nation affiliated organisation. Yet the Delvers slowly faded away. The leadership grew feeble, and the vast numbers of members grew to be lazy. Before long, the Delvers crumbled into nothing. Years went by and they faded from the memories of most. But not all. It had been years since the words Arcane Delvers had been seen on any sort of document, yet in the year 1462, it saw light once more. An ex Regent by the name Jonathan Elers, a master aeromancer and an Ex delver veteran by the name Vuln Shadeleaf, a master geomancer met together and agreed it was time. Time to bring back that which had died. Letters were sent to all corners of the Fringe and a meeting was called for any that might listen. Before long, the new guild was steadily underway, founded on the original concepts of Polgrath. A group of like minded mages, warriors, adventurers but most of all learners, banded together once more for comradery and safety. The Arcane Delvers were truly dead. But the Arcane Vigil, had been born Our Structure: Vigilant/Member: A magic-user already skilled in their respective craft keen on discovery, protection and power. An ornate staff and housing in the tower is provided as a membership perk. Mageshield: A stalwart warrior skilled in martial combat and serving as vital protection to magical brothers on dangerous adventures. Fighting equipment, room, and most meals provided. Mageshadow: A branch of the Mageshields well-versed in the arts of stealth and deception serving as the eyes, ears, and oft daggers of the Arcane Vigils. Responsible special operations and sensitive missions. Must be discrete and skilled in combat. Can try out for position after two weeks tenure as Mageshield. Equipment and housing is provided. Librarian: Second in position of the branch of Mana, the Librarian handles the library keeping it up to date and organized. Also is meant to be a teacher of magic for the guild. Captain: The Captain is just under the Regent of Force. A Captain can be put in leadership positions. Most importantly a Captain is meant to train the ranks below it in preparing them for combat as well as formations for battle. Treasurer: The treasurer handles supplies and money within the guild, as well as being second in command of the branch of Shadow. They are the ones in charge of making sure we have a constant income of supplies and a good amount of money. They are able to send anyone within a basic position to collect resources. Regent of Mana: The Regent of Mana is in charge of the branch of Mana. The Regent of Mana is heavily experienced within the arts of research and arcane arts. They are meant to lead the rest of the branch through conducting research, discovering new magical knowledge, and teaching the arcane. Regent of Force: The Regent of Force is in charge of the branch of Force. The Regent of Force is extremely intelligible in tactics and strategy, as well as leadership. They are put in charge of defence of the guild, and politically handling hostile situations to prevent break out of combat. Regent of Shadow: The Regent of Shadow is in charge of the branch of Shadow. The Regent of Shadow is extremely intelligible in tactics and strategy, as well as collecting intelligence and sabotaging, of course, stealth is required for those purposes. They are meant to collect all intelligence and sabotage an enemy if need be. As well as stealth operations in any form. Master Vigil: The Master Vigil is in charge of the guild. The Master Vigil is very intelligible in leadership as well as political situations. The Master Vigil is meant to keep the guild together, appoint Regents, as well as handling political situations. Rules: Any who would seek to join the Arcane Vigil is welcome, be you human, elf, dwarf, halfling even uruk. We do not discriminate against others who share our thirst for adventure and knowledge. Yet there are some rules to abide by I.Should you wish to join as a mage of any kind, it is required that you display your current magical abilities. II. As a mageshield, you are expected and required to protect the mages of the Vigil in physical combat III. Vigilants have each others backs. 15. looks through the vote finding all impures handing them over to the gestapo "Hehehe impure filth. ooc joke :P
  16. it used to take the better half of the year to be t5 of a magic
  17. It's not hard to join either guild. If you want to learn magic you can walk up to any teacher and ask the worst thing he could do is say no
  18. No that wouldn't work at all, lower tier magic is the stepping stone to higher tier if anything it would work in the reverse. You would need a teacher to teach you basic magic then after that once your t2 to T3 you won't need a mentor anymore Also domestic magic is the best for doing Parker tricks
  19. Has started a magic flame war Enjoy!

  20. Blah if you look inside the mages guild library there is even a book by Joe Blackman on how to find a teacher and how you should act around the teacher and such. It's not hard you just need to be persistent
  21. Getting a teacher is not hard when I started out with my first Mage like char he went to the mages guild they said no, he wasn't to the delvers and polygorath had space as a student so he was my teacher, he was not an elitist Mage but if you want to find a non elites teacher just look around
