  1. Unfortunately, your application to Lord of the Craft has been denied. Your application was good, but unfortunately "outsider" characters are not the type of character we are looking for. As such, I request you rewrite or edit your In-Character and Open Response questions to have a character who grew up within the land of Asulon. If you wish to discuss your character or ask questions about the lore, send me a message on this forum or on the server Teamspeak (I hang out in the Application Team channel, under the name UltraRed). I will be happy to answer any questions you have! This denial may be discouraging, but you are the type of player we're looking for. Your roleplay skills and attitude are good. Some changes to your character are all that is necessary for acceptance. You may submit an edited application after two hours.
  2. ((If you could explain why the elves would install an elevator in their largest tree...))
  3. Congratulations, you have been Accepted. I'll spare you the pleasantries, as you're a long-time member.
  4. Unfortunately, your application to Lord of the Craft has been Denied. But do not fear! You may reapply in 24 hours, and with the following change, your application will stand a good chance of being accepted! -Elaborate on your biography. If he's 242, why does he look like he's in his 20s? Dwarves are immortal, but they do still age. -Your character is very old. Remember, you're going into LOTC to establish a character. Don't make him old before you've even logged in! -Why is he a "very skilled writer and reader"? What reason would he have to learn how to read and write, as a child helping in the forge? And I don't think Dwarves have "schools" as you would define them. I suggest you talk with players currently RPing dwarves. You can find a lot of them in the server's TeamSpeak channel.
  5. Denied, but do not fear! You are almost sure to be accepted if you apply again in 24 hours, with the following modifications! -Change your skin, you look like a Death Knight. I did notice this justification: If you're going to say this, elaborate. Who would wish to destroy your character, and why? People don't run around in full armor because they're worried someone might recognize them! If anything, the full armor would make your character more recognizable! The armor sounds like it's an important part of your character's present identity, a little more elaboration on it would be great! Your definition of powergaming was partially correct. I suggest you Google the terms "godmoding", "twinking", "cheesing", and "munchkin", and expand your definition of powergaming to include them.
  6. Permanently denied for plagiarizing from this application: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/45799-eliteb3asts-application-form-1st-attempt/ Do not reapply. You will not be accepted. Plagiarizing is a serious issue and we do not tolerate it.
  7. Unfortunately, your application to Lord of the Craft has been denied, but fear not! You are encouraged to apply again, and the following modifications will help your application be accepted: -Improve spelling and grammar. Randomly capitalizing words in the middle of sentences doesn't improve your chances. -Extend your biography, it's very short. -Your definition of powergaming is wrong. -Your definition of roleplaying should be more specific.
  8. Unfortunately, your application to Lord of the Craft has been denied, but fear not! You are encouraged to apply again, and I think that with the following modifications, your application could easily be accepted: Your roleplay story was very original, but it seemed a little bit improbable. You should be aware that stories of orphans "raised by wolves" are extremely common, and if you want to make your application stand out further, you may want to remove or shrink that portion of the story. Your definition of powergaming was partially correct, but you should be aware that there are multiple, varied definitions of powergaming. I suggest you Google the terms godmoding, twinking, cheesing, powerleveling, and munchkin. You may already know what these words mean, but I encourage you to take a second look, and revise your definition of powergaming to at least partially cover all these instances. You didn't, at any point, describe what your character looks like in words, and I do not think the skin you linked to is acceptable for use on this server. If you want to discuss your application's denial or ask me further questions/to elaborate on reasons for your denial, you may contact me under the name UltraRed on the server's TeamSpeak (ts dot lordofthecraft dot net).
  9. Just a heads up, your biography is not 2 paragraphs long, and as such, will be denied.

  10. I don't mind violations of physics, biology, or common sense if it improves RP. I don't see this improving RP, I see this as a purely "for teh lulz" character with no lasting appeal. And what does it matter if your body doesn't regenerate as quickly? Regeneration does not equal special mix of healing herbs and spices. A slow healing factor will not impede your ability to amputate other people's limbs.
  11. So you're doing this because it's going to be "funny"? I misread "back" as "knee". I suppose I've been hanging out in /r/skyrim a bit too much... That aside, however... are you kidding me? An arrow in his back, and nobody notices until he tries to lie down? Let's assume the arrow hasn't hit the spine or the ribs, and is instead embedded in a muscle or fat. Him moving about shakes the arrow about. The arrow head is being jostled around inside his body and tears multiple muscles. He's unable to move before he reaches the hospital. I'm not saying this couldn't be roleplayed properly, without powergaming. I'm saying that if all the RP you're going to get from this is "THERE APPEARS TO BE AN ARROW IN MY BACK," I don't really see the point. Yes, that sort of "humorous ignorance" can have some place in RP (two examples that com to mind are the Orcs' inability to speak "proper English," and the Orcs' making faulty assumptions because they can't understand the humans telling them the information), but there's a difference between a failing on the part of your character that is slightly humorous, and immunity to weakness on the part of your character leading to "ohoho, if I was normal that would have hurt me!"-type shenanigans. And don't even get me started on how any self-respecting medieval village would react to a man immune to pain. "BURN THE WITCH!"
  12. It would work in theory, but the RP example you've given: "After PVP, or if it stops before someone dies, or you won, then the healing begins, and that would be when he could rp it. Imaging after a war, lots of people screaming in pain, and a dwarf with an arrow in his back just walking arround 'normaly', because he can't feel the pain from the arrow, to the place of healing and saying he felt weak for some reason." Seems very powergame-y, and I can't help but think you wouldn't properly RP the weaknesses. He wouldn't just "feel weak", there would be issues with him walking, probably ending in him seriously breaking his leg with constant stress upon a weakened joint.
  13. High Yazgurtan Krug'Gorkil squints, reading each word individually and mouthing along. When he comes to the end of the message, he laughs and tears it down, tearing it into pieces and stuffing the pieces in his mouth. He chews and swallows. "Skah'in 'umies wunt steal shaman mojo. Bub'hosh uruk nub need wuld gruk, umie gruk nubting uruk or albai nub teech."
  14. Grass can "jump" across gaps, you'd need a line of gravel 2-3 blocks wide to insulate the dirt sufficiently.
  15. I'm sorry, Blundermore, but could you please write in a color other than white? It's very inconvenient for mobile users... Also, double post. And I do realize I'm not relevant to this topic. :P
