  2. Banned for turning a peaceful thread into an all out war.
  3. Banned because the spider has no jurisdiction here.
  4. MC name: Wodehouse Strengths: Events-Wise, my talents primarily lie in the following; Griefing, Jumping, Cross country, Archery, Survival. However, I also have a very powerful computer, and a solid ISP to match, which ought to give me at least a slight edge over a competitor lacking in those areas. Weaknesses(if any): 1 on 1 PvP, Graphics, Redstone, Speed-building are all my primary weaknesses, though to a degree I'm pretty much able to do these, with the exception of graphics. I couldn't make a skin to save my life. Have you read the rules listed in the Olympiad Rules? And do you agree to abide by them?: I plan on following them to the letter, to represent Lord of the Craft as best as I can. Other notes: Cyndikate: "Wode! Wode! Why is she running, Jex? She didn't do anything wrong..." Jexdane: "Because she's the hero that Lord of the Craft deserves, and definitely the one it needs right now...and so we'll choose her, because she can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a Dark Brother. " You see this cat? This cat is a metaphor. It represents everybody who isn't me. Edit: For the certain somebody who has been slandering my cat GIF, I hope this is more to your liking.

  6. A bored looking man walks into Arethor, grumbling, and pins up several poorly written flyers around the city, before moving on to Solace, and then the Cloud Temple, hanging up several in each location, all of which read as follows: "I am in need of a substantial amount of refined oak wood. I'll pay a hundred and thirty Minas for each bundle you can sell me, but for every ten bundles I'll not go higher than a thousand. A meeting point is negotiable, though it would be preferable if it were close to the docks of the Cloud Temple. -Arthur "
  7. Aaaaand it's down again.

  8. Would an advertisement for people to join a circus be better off in the Roleplay forum or Guilds?

    1. Anore

      Anore

If it is a circus Troupe, try guilds.

  9. Banned because ninjas are superior to both of those.
  10. N'guemo Angbwa strolls past the Fire and Steel smithy on his way to see the High Gladius, when he stops abruptly having seen the flyer. "Mining.." he grumbles, laughing softly to himself. "Haven't been doing enough lately, that's for sure." Pins a hastily scribbled note underneath the flyer, with some barely legible meeting arrangements written on it. ((I tend to be online on and off from about midday GMT to quite late into the night, so just PM me in-game to meet somewhere in Solace.))
  11. Stares at one of the posters with a look of disappointment etched into his face. "A bad time to be poor.. Shame, I could do with a slave."
  12. I long for that day, my liege.

  13. Well yours is far superior to mine. I seem to lack the manly capacity to grow such a substantial beard.

  14. Just scrolling through the Show Yourself thread.. and I saw a 'This is Anfield' poster on your door. I don't know you, Mr Drake, but oh golly I love your face.

  15. Funnily enough, I thought I'd seen yours somewhere before as well. :P I was planning on sending you a message but I sort of forgot.

  16. ((My dusty and unfinished VA from last month is starting to beckon me...))
  17. ((It makes me proud to have had the pleasure of meeting Dash Rogers after seeing this impressively recounted heist; whether it's legitimacy is questioned or not, it is undeniably a fantastic bout of RP. Bravo sir, bravo.))
  18. I presume that a VA is a necessity for joining this guild?
  19. *N'guemo also crosses his name off the list. I'll miss all of you, except Jaques, but we won't be far away so visit whenever you're in the area.
  20. Asbrind, don't forget my idea of pistons to suffocate unwanted intruders between the gates.
  21. Name: N'guemo Akotto MC name: Wodehouse A bit about You: I hail from the land of Nooremac, bordering Asulon. Back home I was a sellsword, offering mercenary work for coin. Unfortunately I had to flee for reasons I will not go into, and I now find myself in a strange land, and have happened upon your current village in which I see great potential, and would like to be a part of it. Your skills: I am an experienced fighter, having battled many a bandit, and I am also an accomplished miner, working the shafts back in my home town. I will defend my fellow brothers in arms to the death, and so I feel I would be a useful addition to an order of knights such as yourselves. Goals: To satisfy a decent quota in mining and so help bring considerable income into the town, whilst also being able to assist in any matters of battle. What do you bring?: I feel as though I could bring great wealth to the town through my mining and with a bit of hunting on the side to bring in food in these harsh times. I am also reliable, so don't hesitate to ask me to run some errands, as I would be more than happy to help.
  22. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Wodehouse. Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, I did not attend Minecon. How old are you?: 20 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT/England. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'm currently studying English Language at university and enjoying it very much, so yes. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I live on campus at university and am really enjoying it, however I do get a lot of free time as my course is not very intensive, and so I'm looking for something that I can really sink my teeth into and have fun with, such as this server, since I'm not very outgoing and would rather not spend all my hard earned cash getting belligerently drunk. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I would say about two hours a day, although on the weekends I could play quite a good lot more. What do you know about Roleplaying?: Although I've never been on a server that offers roleplaying with a history as rich as of the lore of this server, nor one with the profoundly deep characterisation, I've always aspired to play on one that does, and this one has been recommended by several friends. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are: Metagaming is breaching what would be the knowledge of your character through displaying that you know something outside of this. An example could be if somebody on the server asked me if I knew what the time is and I simply looked at the clock on my computer to tell them. An appropriate response would be to go outside in the Minecraft world and look at the sun, estimating the time from its position in the sky. Powergaming however would be different in that it is doing whatever you can not to lose, say if I was being attacked by bandits and I just logged out, rather than face defeat, as this would not only be unfair to whoever was attacking me, but it would just be unsporting. What do you expect this server will be like?: Due to several excellent recommendations from my friends, I do expect this server to be of a very high quality both in administrative matters and in gameplay. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on the Yogscast's RP server, although unfortunately it was shut down, and another RP server called SiegeCraft, which met the same fate. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, reading the rules was the first thing I did, and I find all of them entirely justified. How did you hear about us?: From my friends who play on this server: D3LLI5 and carlmartin10 Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I have, and I believe it was vote 4082. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Wodehouse. In-Character: Character Name: N'guemo Akotto. What is your Race?: Human. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I'm 23 years old, approximately 5 and a half feet tall and have a large mop of black hair that I rarely tend to cut, with a light brown complexion, although that is primarily tan due to my living in such a tropical climate. I tend not to relax at all due to the precautionary measures I've had to take in my day to day living back home, as in the land of Nooremac I was but a common sell-sword. I killed for coin and though it was shameful I do not regret it; it helped shape me into the man you see before you. I lived in a humble cottage in the outskirts of Moukandjo, the commercial hub of the county. It was quaint and I did enjoy living there as it was peaceful and relatively undisturbed, bar the sweet old lady who wandered by the stream out front everyday, and for the most part it was the greatest time of my life. That is until the day I came home from a job to find the door ajar. Worried, I stepped into my house and sure enough, the place was a mess. Furniture was smashed and paper was strewn across the floor. It wasn't the first time this had happened of course, there was a small but up and coming gang down in Moukandjo that took a disliking to me after I'd been contracted to kill one of their higher ranking officers. But I knew that this time was different. As I stepped inside the door slammed shut behind me, plunging the hall into absolute darkness. The shuffling of foot steps behind me was crystal clear in the silence of night, but I knew that whoever it was could not see me. I remember thinking to myself that it must have been blind luck that I came back so late, or else I'd have been dead on the floor long before I had time to realise what was going on. Standing still and holding my breath as best as I could, I kept my terrified body frozen as the footsteps paced around the room slowly but surely, until they came to stop just a foot in front of me. I couldn't hold my breath in any longer and so taking the only chance I could I bolted for the door. No sooner had I moved than I heard a voice scream at me and footsteps began pounding after me, and I knew that I was running for my life. I jumped at the door shoulder-first, bursting out at speed and onto the marshy grass. I turned my head for a few seconds to see my pursuer. That was all it took. Pr'algo Ekoss. The head of the gang. The man they call ‘Death’. I knew that running wouldn't be enough. I could never come back to Moukandjo. Sprinting as fast as I could through the undergrowth that I had come to know like the back of my hand, I knew I would be able to stay ahead but not quite outrun him. Looking back one last time I made a life or death decision. I turned sharply to the left and around a tree, and stopped. Just as I had hoped, Pr'algo kept running, and as soon as he was out of earshot I took a huge gulp of air and sat down, drenched in sweat. I knew that there would be no coming back now. Pr'algo wouldn't stop until I'm dead, and I was not fool enough to think otherwise. And so with no home, I had no choice but to continue onwards towards Asulon and begin a new life. Your characters ambitions: I hope to join a powerful faction to be with peers of equal ambition who I can fight alongside, or even to become so powerful that I may be able to create my very own clan with whom I may be able to achieve a rank of great respect in the world of, and become feared in that the very mention of my name strikes fear into the hearts of the most terrible warlords. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?: As I am very wary of danger, I will first scout out the situation, getting a grip on my surroundings and where I could flee to if need be, as the bandits appear to be well armed and very strong. Once I see that there is no underlying danger other than the two highwaymen I see before me, I will approach them, shouting in order to try and scare them off, although I have my doubts about whether or not this will work. Surely enough, the bandits laugh at me, and so I draw my dagger. At just a foot long it appears meagre, but the now brown in colour stains of blood gleam in the sunlight, and I can see the fear struck into the eyes of these cowards. As they stare into my eyes I slowly approach, before breaking into a sprint. The two stand firm and draw their broadswords whilst assuming an imposing stance. Not perturbed by this I continue running as one begins lumbering towards me. As he swings his blade towards me I lurch forward and slide along the ground, lifting my dagger-hand and slicing the outside of one of his thighs as I slide past and slowly halt, now wet and cold from the mud. I hear a squelch from behind me as I stand up and know that it is from the unconscious bandit now lying on the ground, and so once on my feet and with more confidence I advance towards the other bandit, still standing strongly. I go to lunge with my dagger but he brings his sword up from his side and clashes steel with steel, parrying my attack. I wince at the vibrations, but as he laughs at my grimace I take this moment of weakness to plunge my dagger into his midriff and twist it sharply, garnering an intense scream of pain from the bandit. I take it out as quickly as I can and proceed to check on the elf, who seems to have sustained minor injuries, as fortunately I got there in time. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?: I ask the shopkeeper if he has any leather, as I need to fix the grip on my trusted dagger due to its wearing a bit thin, and that as a matter of fact it was almost impossible to pull out of a wild dog yesterday, being too slippery from the blood. The shopkeeper happily comes back with a small roll of leather which I then tightly wrap around the hilt of my dagger before tossing a few coins to him and going on my way.
