I've become a firm believer that players should abandon all OOC attachment when entering into the server. As for why, I echo what Sagwort says. The spontaneity is lost. Really, the only OOC communication that needs to occur is between staff when planning RP eventlines or rules, which of course require coordination.

Its fun but its a bit limited and repetitive. Plus looting makes no sense. Also, DLC works as more of a complete-your-unfinished-game package than an add-to-your-complete-game package. Here's a real good, in-depth review:

War cleric magic requires a connection ritual that must be performed by a very very powerful cleric/Itharel, and like priest healing takes many RP years to learn.
PM me, Dhoran, I run one of the cleric orders, I'm a teacher, and I wrote the current lore. We can set up a time to meet! Currently, war cleric magic is a little difficult to find teachers for (only people who can are Itharel, and there is currently one active), but we're working on making it more accessible, and the RP being a cleric brings is dope!

War cleric magic can be used on descendants (except for flames of reckoning), but it isn't as effective as against dark magic/tainty dudes and will likely lead to a cleric's disconnection from their patron.

No, he has a pretty valid point. It caters to deity magic users currently, and seems very interconnected with Aengudaemons. I, however, don't particularly mind as a cleric, considering we haven't gotten events for a very very very long time. Druids, pallies, and Ascended may differ in experience, but that's whats up. And we're only put into a very specific part of the roleplay: the harvesters. We can't do anything about the plague, and the clouds weren't able to be dealt with by us. That's on everybody else.

Unfortunately, a lot of it would just be reading stuff in the chat box, which doesn't sound overly appealing. But if you did fully-voiced stuff, it would be pretty cool!

Generally, people don't want to step in because it can be very confusing who is in the right. You don't really notice the fight because you're trying to focus on only your emotes through the spam. When a fight does break out, yeesh, you don't know who started it, you only see "Barrowman swings his greataxe down to attempt to cleave Heshakomeu in half. Vertically." And at that point you don't know which side to join.

And sometimes you totally don't no...

Form a feedback post and explain what you want to change. Offer some suggestions. A status complaint won't fix anything

Yeah! Just ask in popular taverns or in cities and settlements. Search for embassies. If all else fails, /msg the players and send em a bird!

Mages Guild for Arcane stuff, cleric guild for clerical magics, Golden Lion for Xan paladins, necromancers for... necromancy...

If you become a mage, prepare for lots of running away and a lot of learning rp. Generally, look for guilds associated with your desired subtype
