Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I simply watch him for a few minutes before slowly making my way over to the struggling salesman and look over his wears. "Can I help ye' sir?" He asks. I lower my hand and pick up a small statuette and turn it slowly in my hand, admiring its features. The dwarf speaks up again. "Oh, that will be twelve minas, sir." He said with and anxious smile on his face. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my coin purse and withdrew a handful of the currency before placing it all on the table and walking away with the small statuette in my pocket. The dwarf called after me saying, "Sir! Ye' for your change!" but I simply walked on and round the corner and left the dwarf with all the extra mina.
You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I simply watch for a few minutes before walking over in a attempt to convene and stand between the two. "What 'tis this?" I say and the Orc simply shoves me backwards and speaks. "Nothing you concern." He says in a deep tone. I simply brush my self off before walking back towards the pair. "Well then might I ask why you be threatening this fellow?" I say before putting my hand on the dwarfs shoulder. "Leave or you meet same end as dwarf." The Orc threatens. "And that fate is?" I ask, a sly smile creeping across my face while I reach for the dagger inside my coat. "Hurt bad or dead." He says. "Really now?" I ask which the Orc responds to by swinging one of his fists at me and hitting me square in the cheek, causing me to fall to the ground. I slowly push myself back up before running at the Orc and ducking under the punch he throws at me. I bring the knife to bear and successfully slice his upper-right arm. The Orc roars in pain before swinging for another punch with his un-injured arm. I duck under the punch to be clipped on my left shoulder before standing back up and managing to bring the knife to the back of the Orc's neck. "Now then. How about ye' leave us alone and you may walk away with ye' life, or rather you die?" The Orc simply growls before saying. "I go." and I reply with "Good choice." and bring the small blade away from his neck. He then proceeds to walk away and I turn to the dwarf. "Ye' alright?" I ask. "I'll be fine, I'd have worse before." He replies. "Good." I say before turning back to my path. "I bid good graces to you my friend!" I shout as I turn a corner. "Thank ye' sir! he replies back.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I lower my hand to the old man and help him to his feet, allowing him to drape an arm across my neck and walk him over to a tree stump before allowing him to sit down on the once living tree. I then walk back onto the path and lower to my knees before scraping up the minas into one of my almost empty coin purses and stand back up before walking back to the old man and handing him the now full pouch of minas. "Wait there." I say, the old man calmly smiling at me. I walk over to one of the new trees, barely past the classification of a sapling and bear my sword before viciously swinging it at the bottom of the trees thin trunk, chopping it down in two strikes. I let it fall to the ground before slashing at the top of the trunk removing the leaves and branches before picking it up and walking back over to the old man with the severed tree trunk and handing it to him. "Shall this suffice for a replacement?" I ask. "This shall do fine, thank you." He replies. " Well I am glad I could help you." I said before bowing slightly. "May I ask you where you are going?" I say. "I am travelling to Arethor to stay with my daughter a while." He says. "Well then I bid you farewell, my friend." I say. "The same to you." He replies.
