In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Roleplaying is assuming the personality of a character and acting as your character would act.

In-Character Details
Character Name: Galen Valerno
Character Race: Elf
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Galen Valerno’s physical appearance is striking and has an immediate effect on people who see him. First of all, he is a High Elf, yet he has a very strange appearance for one. He has dark blue, piercing eyes that sees right through to somebody’s mind. His short (for elves but shaggy for humans), dark brown hair contrasts nicely with his pointed ears; they barely jut out of his hair. He is tall, yet not as tall as some people (about 6’ 3”). He always dresses in long yet tight wizard’s robes and cloaks with hoods that have some color combination of dark blue, gold, inky black, pure white, or metallic silver. Galen is also 25 years old, young both for humans and elves.
His mental character is very refined, too. When he speaks, he always either tries to inject some sarcasm into the conversation or tries to come up with a bit of knowledge that could help. He is naturally intelligent and is constantly learning about the world he was secluded from every day. He is also naturally kind, and always tries to help out someone in need. If it came down to it, Galen would rather negotiate, but if he has to fight, he knows how to wield a sword well.
Galen was born in Malinor as a High Elf. He was raised by a loving family that is doing fine (last time Galen checked). He went out into the world at age 24 to build his career and his reputation, and now, at 25, he is ready to start as an adventurer.
What are your character's ambitions?: Galen's ambitions are to master the sword, learn all secrets, and to become a recognized figure in the world.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He wants to be famous, but the kind of brooding, mysterious famous that holds him in a place of awe. In contrast to his elf brothers, he prefers a sword in combat, wanting to get up-close and personal with his enemy.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?
I immediately take out my coin purse and stride over to him, glancing around at the buildings. I ask him with a friendly smile, "Hello, what kinds of wares do you sell?" I listen attentively to his words and try to seem like a friend, just listening to another friend. I glance down at his wares, and try to see if something genuinely interests me. If something does, I buy it, even if I don't need it, and I say, "Thank you so much!" I then try to recommend his stand to others throughout the day, hoping that his sales increase.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
I quickly walk over to the argument and ask harshly, "Hey, hey, what's going on here?" I hold each creature back from the other and make them both of them tell their side of the story. If I find that one of their arguments is more reasonable than the other's, I try to convince the wrong one of the other's point of view. If they're both equally right, I try to convince one of the other's perspective. If it escalates into a fight, I protect myself and the person I believe to be right, if any.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: I rush over to him, help him up, and ask kindly, "Are you alright?" I make sure he's standing, then I gather all of the coins and hand them to the man. I try to find another bag he can put the coins into, and if there's none, I empty my coin purse into my backpack and give him the purse. I help him get to his destination, make sure he's alright, then head back to Malinor.
