Here's a slightly edited version, I added some stuff that might be around the new village. Also, I made a few rooms. A sitting room, a study and a bedroom. It definitely needs a kitchen / pantry but I'm happy it turned out even this good. Also I feel like the sitting room needs work as well, I think it feels to open. Maybe have it be: Enterance Bedroom Foyer like thing Sitting room Fireplace Study (Through the sitting room) Also stained glass! EDIT: Is there a way to make these bigger in the post?

I took a crack at making a Burrow entrance, don't ask for interiors as I tried and failed horribly. Feedback is welcome!

Runs screaming as a strange man starts talking and putting images in his head. ((What is this? A poster? Are you just talking to people?))
-
Madpen quickly returns from the woods, having been chased out by a spider. He returns to his burrow and goes to drink some tea in his bed. ((Thought stuff was going to happen, stuff didn't happen. End of story.))
-
Madpen writes up a letter, and gives it to his hawk to deliver: "Me would love te purchase a pony, me offer is as follows: 650 mina, 'wo gold bars, one chicken, a gold fish ornamen', a book of Alchemical recipes and to 'op it, thir'y 'wo of me fines' pumpkins. If ye would need more me can expand on me offer." Wrapped up and attached to the letter is a small parcel, containing a pumpkin scone.
-
Madpen sees the poster, releases his chance to get a pony for his own, and begins franticly searching his burrow. Coming up a bit short, around 650 mina, he collects what valuables he does have. He quickly writes a letter complete with his amazing art skills detailing two bits of gold, another piece that looks suspiciously like a fish painted gold, a large and mossy iron blade. To top it he promises a bowl of his ma's best healing soup recipe. "Miss, me would like te negotia'e a price. As us 'alflings usually 'ave no use for mina, me can provide over 'alf the price, along with the following: ((The Picture is here)) Please respon', me would prefer a pony bu' any s'eed would do." He gives this to his pet hawk, and quickly sends the letter.

Looking down at what he did, Maddy: a normally peaceful Halfling had killed. He killed that green skin and it had torn him apart. His Neighbours tried to console him, saying that the orc was dead before he hit it. Nothing consoled him. Needing to get away from the world, he packed a tent and a fishing rod, heading out into the Witch Woods. Deciding he would stay a few months, he set camp and started off. Maybe he could finally forgive himself out here, maybe he would have some revelation, the only thing that was for certain was he wouldn't be back for a while. ((Real life decided to have fun with my emotions, so I'll be away for a few days. It should only be around two or three, at the very most four. No you can't have my burrow and yes I will have internet access so I may go on the forums.))
-
Theres also that decapitated and gutted prc that happened today. Fun fun.fun!
-
((Wasn't your idea for an automaton denied by the event team?)) Maddy listens to the ravens, and begins to start the cheers of the crowd: "DEMOCRAZY! DEMO-CRAZY!"
-
Another piece of paper is nailed onto the board: "If all 'alflings could reply with yer opinions." A few blank papers have been left underneath. ((We really need opinions of governmental reform.))

Here's my idea for a festival system; We make one Halfling year, be four Elven months. This allows for regular harvest festivals, and for holidays that don't come around every year, such as Knoxmass.

As a response tou the unjust removing of Milo as an Elder, I propose we hold propper elections for the positions of Elder. An eligible voter, must own a burrow, be somwhat active and have been a citizen for atleast a week. An eligible candidate would be a burrow owning, very active and must have been a citizen for a few months. All of this is a suggestion, and only if the elders agree can it really be implemented. Or reinstate Milo and Ill shut up.

A Letter To Milo (New Elder Incoming)
Iosif replied to Free The Hobbits's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
Considering Milo has become much more active in Len now, and how I hardly ever do see Bolo around, I suggest we hold proper, democratic elections. Only those who are burrow owning, and have been a Halfling for over a month should be allowed to run. If sombody is very inactive they can't run either. -
Maddy begins hollowing out a few pumpkin battle helmet. "T'day we ride! ((pigs :P))" Do we have a time yet.

Heres my take on it.: Purple: Witch Woods Yellow: Burrows Magenta: Wheat Fields Orange: Pumpkin Wall / Statue Brown: Windmill and food storage. Red: Town Center, Inn and other stuff. Dark Blue: Tents and such. Black: Some sort of an Antag. I was thinking with the housing, we could have paths and roads cut into the cliffs and build like that. Plenty of room for everybody. On the note for the antag, mabey we could have it either be a spiderling (search it in the lore section) or some type of a mountain troll. Lastly the orange dot in the middle of town should either be a massive mabey 10 x 10 pumpkin, or some type of a statue or petrified Ent.

[Idea/brainstorm] Werewolf And Vampire Brainstorming
Iosif replied to Tristanx7's topic in Denied Lore
Looks mostly good. Here are my ideas: Vampires would be added to a group, who take no fall damage and whenever they eat, they get ten secounds of say jump boost 10? It is impossible to turn sombody fully, to become a propper vampire you must make an application and have your character die while comiting some great crime. This brings us to the whole idea of a "deal with he devil". Should you be accepted you would become a full vampire, but still have to progress through the tiers. There should be some kind of conditions for a vampire to turn sombody. It is impossible without thier ooc consent. Afterwards they become similar, but are limited to tier 2 and below. Tiers: All) A vampire is generaly very strong and able. Being undead themselves they are often ignored by monsters. A vampire must consume blood once an elven week or die. Animal blood will do but is not as potent as human, dwarf, elf ect. 1) Clothing does not protect you from the sun, any exposure will set you on fire quickly. You are stronger hen before and are able to glide along the air for a short distace. 2) A thick hood apears to shield you from the day, but exposure will still harm you. You are much stronger then most men and even most dwarves now, a single hit is enough to send your victims sprawling. 3) You are able to take down any mortal with relative ease. Quickly disapearing through the air and into the forest is not dificult. You should be well positioned above your town and many people fear you. You apear to have gained a druid like grasp over bats and insects, they will often apear near you and complete favors. 4) At this stage is when you will begin to create a family or brood around you. Abducting inocents to act as servents. You are now able to turn them with limited success. 5) This is where variety comes in. You are now going to specialize in one of five subtypes: The Bat, The Magician, The Mother, The Destroyer or The Spider. 5 The Bat) Having gained much of an understanding with these creatures, you become more like them. Stealthy and quick. After a while long sustained flight becomes easy and transformation can become possible for short periods. This subtype usualy lives alons taking only what he needs to survive. 5 The Magician) Having made a further sacrifice, The Magician is a master of Illusion, Telikinesis and Teleportation. ((This is the only subtype that can know magic. You must have a MA for all magic you plan to use, but it can be self taught.)) 5 The Mother) The Mother bases thier survival not just around hemselves, but thier entire colony. They will abduct many mortals to turn and use. They find the conversion much easier and less strenuous. This subtype often comes from one who had a family before, and they may try to turn thier family to live with them. 5 The Destroyer) The Destroyer feels wronged, they swear vengence and thier goal is to attack and topple the governments of towns and act as a constant plauge. These are the ones who find angry mobs at thier door a regular ocurence. 5 The Spider) Having been corupted once again, the spider has taken on an arachnid form. They are capable of scalling walls and trees. They are usualy found in caves or the jungle, having created thier own nest. Thier victims are not usualy killed or drain at first, but are usualy brought to the nest to become a cocoon or just saved for later. This type will somtimes lay eggs, which can lead to a small colony off Spider Vampires. This is all speculative, and is totaly up for review and changing. -
I belive we have one dwarf living here ATM, I think a few more wouldn't hurt but if we were to multiracial it would ruin Lenfarthing. I think an actualy easy to find road could work. Honestly the only way I know to get there is off the Bearded elf road and through the forest. I think in 4.0 we definitely need a new system. I started drawing up some ideas today and will post them later.

Can somebody explain where halfling names come from? What they basically sound like? Maybe I could get a few examples? I'm going to make a new character today, and be the newest resident of Lenfarthing.

What’s your character called?: - Hileia’Avern (Peaceful Wanderer) What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Wood Elf What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 106 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Hileia was born on Asulon, the early years of his life filled with turmoil and travel, he never really got a grip on things until his family arrived in Anthos. Hileia’s father was a fisherman, and he was very proud of it. He had kept his family alive everywhere they were sent easily; although they had never been wealthy they were never poor. His mother, Vallei’Avern had always been a housewife, taking care of him and selling his father, Alor’Avern at any local markets they came across. However during their stay in Kalos, Vallei contracted an illness thought to have been brought along with the orcs from the badlands back home. What would normally be easily treatable with medicinal plants back home was suddenly a very deadly threat. Hileia’s mother died on the final leg of the journey to Anthos. Once his remaining family arrived, with him being an only child he soon found himself filling duties his mother had taken before. Selling the catch, cleaning, and other household work. Though in time his father did teach him how to fish in the nearby rivers and lakes. In time they did raise enough money selling food to travelers to purchase a horse so they could travel to Malinor. As his father was growing weaker, Hileia had to take on more and more responsibility. Eventually the confines of the city grew to much for him and he decided he was going traveling. He left enough money with his father to last him a few years, alongside his fishing gear should he need some more to get by and began the walk to the edges of Malinor. As cruel fate would want it he didn’t reach the lands outside that day. Before he could even leave the city he was grabbed by a man leaning in a doorway and pulled inside. The man threw him to the ground and Hileia never got a good look at him, but he was to tall for a Wood or Dark elf. Having been robbed of the majority of his possessions he stumbled outside. Crying out for the Sentinels as he could still see his assailant running away. Nobody came, so he took action himself. Charging after the man he saw him disappearing into the Aheral district he slowed to a halt. Gazing at the gates he couldn’t pass into, a common criminal protected by his oppressing overlords. A certain hatred was formed for the Mali’Aheral that day. After once again gathering the supplies he would need in his travels, and purchasing a new tent and fishing net. He once again left the city, no particular place in mind, just the road ahead. Passing past Lenfarthing and Renatus he eventually decided he wanted to return home. A happy welcome did not await him there though. When he arrived he found himself being promptly arrested. He didn’t put up any fight, as he knew it was a mistake. He soon found out that after that man had robbed him, he returned to his house and was assassinated. He had stolen from a member of the Council of Malinor and he was hunted down. Nobody claiming responsibility he proceeded to spend a good 10 years in court and prison proving he did not kill the man. It was a tough case considering he had allegedly been seen pulling the thief into a doorway. It was a hard case but he won in the end. Nowadays Hileia returned to a nomadic life. He continues to sell his goods and travel to other kingdoms, although he does return back to Malinor from time to time. His father now lives independently having opened a fish shop in Luminaire but never remarried. Hileia has owned a few houses in Luminaire but does not have a permanent residence. He spends much of his time there in taverns and markets, and the rest meditating and fishing. As he gets older he intends to own a house in Luminaire. Hileia never forgot the injustice he was served by the Mali’Aheral. What are they like (personality)?: - Very trusting to his friends but is wary around strangers and especially high elves. He enjoys the study of mysticism and spending time with his father, often in a local bar. What are their ambitions?: - Hileia wishes to live most of life peacefully, possibly taking political action against the Elitism of the High Elves. Do they have any special skills?: - Fishing, fishing, fishing. Did I say fishing? Living off the land from his time traveling. He has also developed an innate ability to go unseen in a crowd, always looking like he belongs and never seaming conspicuous. From experience making tents and just mucking about in the forest as a boy, he has become quite proficient with ropes and knots. What are their weaknesses?: - Hileia has quite a lack of raw physical strength. Although he is not week he would be unlikely to hold his own in a fight. He will often go out of his way to avoid confrontation. He is also instinctively suspicious of any High Elves. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Hileia wears a set of black fabric pants, a tan shirt and a brown leather jacket with a few pockets on the front, and wooden toggles, it is rarely done up. He has cinnamon colored skin and dirty blond hair. His ears normally stick out but his hair is long enough to cover them, should he so choose. He has brown eyes and not to prominent of a nose. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Not much, everything else has been said above. Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: - http://tinypic.com/r/2ajdmx1/5 Im sorry for tiny pic, but my computer hates imgur.

I'm making a Wood Elf character, and I am really confused about time. How long have we been here and if my character was say, 150 where would he have been born and raised?
