My father Har’vek Hammerhead was a respectable dwarf. Under his wise counsel I flourished as a child learning things, I could never have imagined, nor come to know on my own. One of these things was the family’s secret mining strategy, a secret that had allowed my family to mine the most illustrious ores. My father taught me how to defend myself from wild beasts with the strength of many men, and how to locate the most beautiful, and majestic caverns that would have been all but non-existent to any other. My mother was a gruff mountain dwarf, but a kind one. Her name was Tarsvka Hammerhead; she graced me with the knowledge, and respect of the earth, and all its inhabitants. Since I could barely speak I was taught to respect all the races of Athera, whether they be Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Human, Kharajyr, or some other race. When I was but 15, I had gone for a stroll in the Kazadrin Mountain region, where my family resided, many miles southwest from the city Gimblewood. When out of nowhere a wild boar came thundering down unto me. The pounding of its hooves shaking the pebbles around me. Acting out of the instincts instilled into my very bones by my father I leapt towards the beast grasping each of its tusks with my bare hands. Shifting my weight I allowed the beasts momentum to carry it, as I hurled it into a nearby boulder. A resounding crack followed as the 280lb boar slammed into the boulder it’s spine, and neck snapped from the impact. Proud of such an accomplishment, I hoisted the boar onto my shoulder and lugged the beast back to my father to show off my accomplishment. As I walked through the outcropping of boulders that shielded my family's home from the beasts of the world, I dipped my head to my father's Golem which stood guard at the entrance. A great and wonderful creation the Golem had been a gift to my father from an old friend. He has always evaded questioning when the subject of who this friend was, and why he bestowed such a gift upon my father, and over time I have learned to let it go. Upon spotting my arrival he stepped aside to let me past. As my father came out of the house to greet me his face alit with pride,he stepped forward praising me for my actions. He then proceeded to help me severe the boar’s head from its body, as we began to clean the meat from the bones. Once finished my father proudly hoisted the spotless white skull onto a rack on the wall. I will never forget that day, my father said that that day I became a true dwarf, it is a memory I shall forever treasure, and hold close to my heart. Personality Traits: I have a kind heart, for those who have befriended me, a short temper, and no patience for incompetence. Ambitions: My heart is split in two, one side yearning for the comforting handle of a pick, and the damp smell of the caverns. While the other yearns to build, and construct great forts, and manors. Strengths/Talents:Throughout the years I developed quite the skill, as a miner, a builder, and became skilled with an axe. While my heart may lie in the mines, as did my father, and his father, I have fallen for the curves on structures. I do not understand it but there is something about constructing buildings, and might fortress that allures me drawing in further. To me it is an art. Weaknesses/Inabilities: I lack skill in the culinary arts, as well in the world of politics. I grow frustrated and tiresome of all kinds of politics, and have never had the will to participate in it. Finally I have the unfortunate inability to perform any sort of Lumber Jacking, Farming, livestock tending/breeding, as well as a complete lack of knowledge in alchemy. I struggle with magic, but I am not completely at a loss when it comes to magic. Answer: I see the two shady dwarves approaching the young dwarf and I stand up and position my body in between the young dwarf and the two dwarves. Seeing the dagger in one of their hands I ready myself for anything. I ask them, “What is your business with this young lad and why are u armed?” “If you mean this young dwarf no harm then I will let you pass however if u mean to injure this young dwarf I am afraid I will have to relieve you of that weapon.” 3. Har’vok was just 7 when he fell. Lying in the shadows breathless as he waited for the humans to pass. When they were gone he ventured out from his hiding place. Har’vok then went to work using the skills his father had taught him. He made him self a wooden home, fashioning himself a bow. Lacking the materials to mine great ores Har’vok improved his archery skills using them to kill prey to get food. He killed cows to fashion himself leather armor. Surviving for 13 years Har’vok finally decided to venture away from the wooden home that he had lived in for the past 13 years. Coming upon a road he followed it until he found the dwarven mountains. Venturing in to them he found the vast cavern. Finding his fellow dwarves Har’vok rejoiced. He immediately ask about his mother and father only to be burdened by the knowledge that they had die in the human raid. Har’vok went on mining in the deep caverns of the mountain abode. Happy Har’vok decided to stay there and live among his fellow dwarves. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Har’vok approaches the shopkeeper asking what his wares are. He turns showing me a few broken damaged swords, a dejected expression on his face. Pitying the dwarf I ask his price “10 minas sir” he answers a hopeful expression on his face. I smile “sold,” I say, “we dwarves look after one another.” You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Har’vok runs up to them asking them why they quarrel so. The Orc responds saying that the dwarf had stolen an ancient book that had been given to him by his great great grandmother. Turning the dwarf I ask him his side of the story. He answers me saying, “lies, lies this Orc knows nothing he was trying to steal from me!” “Is this true?” I ask the Orc. “What, of course it isn’t this insult to the dwarven race is just trying to escape trouble,” he responded. “No one, no one insults a fellow dwarf and gets away with this!” I say, “lets us dispose of this Orc and continue on our way my friend,” I say to the dwarf. “Agreed,” he answers. With two quick efficient strokes of our swords we cut off his head and impale his heart. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick, looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?:Har’vok leans down swiftly plucking the coins from the ground, then handing them to the old man. Asking him if there is any other assistance he may require. Then Har’vok asks the man if he would accept Har’vok’s gift of a new walking stick.
