Northener Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
My family moved into VaerHaven before I was born.
I've lived here my entire life, and only rarely do I ever venture far from the Hold.
Life passes pretty slowly and quietly out here in the snow.
I rather enjoy it.
Usually I'll be in the forest nearby, gathering wood and replanting trees.
Often one of the men from the Hold will come with me both for protection and to assist me with lugging the lumber back.
The days pass slowly here. Long days sometimes, long nights sometimes.
But that's nice, it's rather serene here usually.
When I was a kid...
Well things were pretty peaceful. Things have always been pretty peaceful.
Mom and dad were always there for me when I needed them.
They are still there for me, but I rely on myself a lot more these days.
Nothing particularly big or amazing has happened in my life.
That's good, if you ask me.
A nice quiet life is plenty of excitement.
Oh~! Like that time when we were out logging and a wolf came up to us!
It looked quite out of its mind, and was growling and howling at us.
Luckily the ward whom came with me was prepared for such a thing.
He quickly drew his blade and brought it down on the creatures neck, hefting the head clean off.
It was actually really gross and I hope I never have to see something like that again.
That was probably the most exciting event in my life.
I like the peaceful atmosphere, and the gods seem to bequeath that unto me

____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer:
My travels take me to the capital town, where a palace dominates the scenery.
I wander up to it and begin to investigate, just to see if anyone left anything of value just lying around.
I don't find anything of value, there must be hundreds of other people doing the same thing...
But I do notice someone trying to break into the palace, and generally looking fishy.
Luckily there are some guards nearby.
"Guards Guards!" I yell out, waving to them.
"Behind you! Look behind you! There's a man in a dark cloak!"
I can see that he scowls at me, I grin back at him. A toothy grin that cuts from ear to ear.
The guards are slow, but eventually turn around and spot the man.
I laugh somewhat, and begin heading off.
I hate to stick around for the questioning, they almost always pull me into it too and treat me like a suspect.
The guards notice me leaving, I can tell because they begin yelling "Hey you! Girl! Stop!"
I sigh and freeze "Yes? What else do you need from me?"
They apprehend the man, after holding him at arrow point for several moments.
Another guard leaves a nearby shack and approaches me. "How did you see that man?"
"I kept my eyes opened." I respond.
He chuckles "Aye, that you did and you spotted a man my guards missed."
"Yeah, I certainly hope you dock their pay for that. Heh... I wouldn't mind a reward either..."
"You were able to serve the crown, that is enough reward in and of itself." He responds with a light smile on his face.
"Okay okay, so... why are you holding me here?"
"Hmm? Oh, I just wanted to thank you personally."
"Okay, thanks accepted, may I go now?"
He nods and waves me off. I quickly leave the scene, and don't care what happens to the sneak.
I had away from the palace and into the nearby forest.
2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer:
After leaving the palace several days ago, I come across a small group of men in the forest...
It looks as if there are two heavily armed and armoured men accosting an older man.
Upon seeing the trio I duck behind a tree.
I hope they didn't see me. I hope those thugs don't have scouts that saw me.
I stand perfectly still for several minutes as they continue to harass the man.
After what could be forever I finally start breathing again, I'm pretty sure it's just the two lone bandits and that man.
I peek around the tree again, the two are totally unaware of my presence, and the old man has his back to me.
This is great, all I have to do now is leave without them noticing me.
I crouch down low, getting close to the ground, and get obscured by some tall grass.
I carefully study the vegetation in front of me, seeing if I can spot any game trails... And to my great fortune one runs immediately in front of me and away from this cottage.
I slowly slink along the path, keeping my ears and mind alert to any new sounds.
After nearly a kilometer I come to a stream.
That would explain the trickling sound I've been hearing for a while now.
I study the water for several seconds, and spot some large stones that jut out.
I hop across these to the other bank and look back towards where the cottage was.
It's completely out of sight, as are the men.
I breathe a sigh of relief and pick a new direction in which to continue my journey.
3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).
Answer:
I somehow wind up back in the outskirts of the capital.
This city must be huge!
There's a man at a stand who has quite a few interesting looking items.
I approach the stand and point out several books and potions, and rattle off what each are called.
I offer him a meager sum for the lot.
Of course he denies my first offer, which I expect.
I offer double my original offer, which is still less than half of what the lot is worth.
He seems a bit more interested, but isn't ready to comply yet.
I tell him that he can take me on a date if he is willing to give me the items for free.
This seems to strike a chord with him, and he smiles widely.
I tell him that I'll even pay the bill, and he won't have to spend anything.
He agrees and lets me take the items, I tell him I'll come back at sundown for our date.
I flee the city and never return with my bushel of free stuff!
I head back into the forest from before and pick another direction, I'll probably follow that stream from earlier. . .
